WELLER WAS ‘MORTIFIED’ BY PRAGUE FOOTAGE
British rocker PAUL WELLER was "mortified" by video footage of a drunken night out in Europe - because it was embarrassing for his family to see h im in such a state.
The former The Jam frontman was seen drinking shots of vodka in a bar i n Prague, Czech Republic with 25-year-old Hannah Andrews, just months aft er he split from Samantha Stock, his longterm partner and mother of two o f his children.
The 50-year-old musician was also seen taking a tumble with Andrews on the city’s cobbled streets, and lying sprawled on the ground.
And Weller admits he was fuming after footage of their night out hit th e internet.
He says, "F**kers. I’ve brushed it off now, but at the time I was like, ‘Oh hell!’ For my kids and people around me, I was mortified and embarra ssed. I’ve been on the floor many times in my life. And I’m sure I will b e in the future as well, regardless of age. But I’m not exactly proud of it. ‘Star’s night of shame’ and all that. It was embarrassing." (LR/WNSTE
