TOWNSHEND COMPLAINS ABOUT THE WHO MERCHANDISE
PETE TOWNSHEND is urging fans to shun any THE WHO merchandise - because h e thinks the branded items look awful.
The band sells rock memorabilia on its official website, including T-sh irts, baseball caps and The Who-embossed jewellery.
But instead of encouraging fans to purchase the goods, Townshend has bl asted the products, insisting he’d never wear any of the items.
In an interview, also posted on the website, Townshend says, "We have b ecome older while a whole range of fashion looks have passed by. The one I wish had passed sooner but seems to have stuck is the rock and roll mer chandise look. You wouldn’t catch me wearing any of the glamorous items t hey sell on this website.
