USHER: ‘TALENT SHOWS ARE KILLING MUSIC’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:36 pm

R&B star USHER has accused TV talent shows of killing the music industry.
Just weeks after the singer appeared as a mentor on the current season of American Idol, Usher has blasted the show and its rivals for making ta lented singers celebrities and then casting them aside.
He says, "The true art form of music is being lost, because it seems so easy that everyone can do it, and that it can happen overnight. Televisi on is a lie. It can’t happen overnight. The artist who thinks that it can just comes and goes. The reason why great singers cannot exist in this t ime is maybe because they’re not properly managed, and maybe they don’t u nderstand the full gamut of what being an entertainer is.
"We’re dealing with an industry that is slowly but surely dying, every day. There’s the record companies that are mass-producing these versions of these people; versions of this broken art. While it works, because it sells records, it damages the business.=E2=80=9D

PALTROW TO TURN HER HOME INTO A ZOO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:36 pm

GWYNETH PALTROW is set to turn her London home into a zoo for her daughte r APPLE’s upcoming sixth birthday party.

The actress says, "I got the email from the place and it’s crazy. It’s literally, like, one pony to ride… a pony to pet, some goats, a bearded dragon, a tarantula, two meat rats and a descented skunk. So that’s what ’s coming." But at least Apple’s party won’t be as dull as the usual kids birthday bashes the American has experienced in her adopted Britain.
She explains, "It’s a little bit more restrained there; kids birthday p arties in London are usually, like, some sort of grimy church hall kind o f thing with, like, a clown of questionable nature.
"My fear is always, like, we’re gonna come in there like the Hollywood nightmare and overdo it, which I’m gonna do."

A letter from the couple to Congress reads, "As parents, we ask you to support HR 4870, the Healthy School Meals Act of 2010. We know from watch ing our own children grow up that eating habits children develop early on stick with them for life. All too often, young people are offered proces sed meats and cheese and other greasy, high-fat, high-cholesterol foods.
"The Healthy School Meals Act will help children develop better eating habits, provide healthful plant-based options that naturally contain no c holesterol, are low in saturated fat and high in fibre, enabling schools to reach high nutrition standards easily. The legislation gives schools t he incentive and ability to address the health problems that are harming our children and overburdening our health systems." Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:36 pm

USHER regrets missing the chance to unite three generations of his family - his dad died without ever meeting the star’s first child.
The singer was estranged from his father, Usher Raymond III, for severa l years but the two eventually reconciled before his dad’s death in Janua ry 2008.
But the Yeah! hitmaker is upset he didn’t introduce his dad to his son Usher Raymond V, who was born just weeks before his tragic passing.
He says, "He wasn’t supposed to die. It wasn’t a life-threatening situa tion: he had liver problems, and was preparing to undergo surgery that wo uld definitely have given him more time. But he didn’t make it.
"There’s not a day that I don’t wish my dad at least got a chance to se e my son, who’s the fifth Usher Raymond. A lot of times, names were appoi nted to workers - or, rather, slaves - based off of things that they do. So the first Usher - my great-grandfather - could potentially have been a n usher. Kinda hard to fathom, that one would be named based off of his d uty, but that is the lineage of this black skin that I wear." (PAW/WNBGU/

He says, "Paul McCartney used to take his kids everywhere, never had a nanny I heard. So it can be done, it just becomes part of the scenario. A t first it’s overwhelming, then you look at other people - some mother wi ll tell you she went back to her nine-to-five job two weeks after giving birth. That’s really no different to us. Maybe we’re spoilt - we don’t ha ve to go to the office. You can’t take your family to the office." (LR/WN
