Teen pop sensation JUSTIN BIEBER has offered his support to his manager, who turned himself into police on Wednesday (24Mar10) to face charges rel ating to the singer’s chaotic appearance at a shopping mall in New York i n November (09).
The 16 year old was forced to cancel a signing appearance at the Roosev elt Field mall after thousands of fans descended on the venue - overwhelm ing security teams and police. One young girl was hospitalised in the cha os.
After the incident, the singer claimed he and several associates had be en threatened with arrest unless he sent out an internet message to fans using his Twitter.com page, informing them the event had been cancelled a nd urging them to go home.
Bieber’s manager, Scott ‘Scooter’ Braun, has now surrendered to police to answer misdemeanour charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuis ance - after he allegedly refused to cancel the event.
And the Baby hitmaker is determined to stand by his manager.
He donned a ‘Free Scooter’ T-shirt during an appearance in Chicago, Ill inois on Wednesday (24Mar10) - and sent his troubled svengali a message o f support on his Twitter.com page.
Bieber writes, "You’ve got my total support (Scooter Braun). Wish you w ere here in Chicago with us. FreeScooter." Braun has pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless endangerment, crimi nal nuisance and endangering the welfare of a child. He faces a year in j ail if convicted.

GERARD BUTLER owes his life to an Icelandic adventurer who he hired as hi s assistant, nutritionist and spiritualist while shooting BEOWULF & GREND EL in 2005.
The Scottish star now has close ties with Iceland after spending so muc h time there shooting the epic with Stellan Skarsgard - and he takes what ever spare time he can to get back to the country and spend time with his pal Halle.
But the pair’s adventures haven’t always been pleasant ones.
He recalls, "We were in a place one time and, literally, if something h ad gone wrong, we would not have been found for months.
"Halle… wanted to go and find this warm spring and they had to litera lly climb over these mountain tops to get there on this ground that just gave way, because it was all just volcanic ash. It was dark and they didn ‘t come back and I thought, ‘Oh, they’re dead, and I’m dead. I’m stuck he re.’ "And then we go to start the car and the battery had died… We were st uck there for a day and a half and then Halle ended up going on this jaun t… He disappeared for a day and came back with a battery. He’s one of t hese guys who’s like, ‘Anything is possible’." And Butler can’t thank his mystical mate enough for all the amazing thi ngs he’s witnessed in the past five years: "We ended up in this huge 4X4 Jeep, offroad, going through rivers… and we were going up a glacier at two in the morning and sliding backwards down this glacier, thinking, ‘We ‘re gonna die…’ But then we ended up on top and we set up tent at 2.30 in the morning… with the northern lights going off above us." Things are looking bleak for SANDRA BULLOCK and JESSE JAMES’ marriage - a nother woman has come forward with allegations she romanced the reality T V star while he was wed to the actress.
The Oscar winner reportedly walked out on James last week (ends19Mar10) after tattooed model and porn star Michelle McGee went public with claim s she was intimate with the TV mechanic while Bullock was shooting The Bl ind Side on location.
And now a second woman has told U.S. publication the Star she had an af fair with James that began in 2006 and ended last year (09).
Melissa Smith, 35, tells the tabloid that, like McGee, she would visit James at his West Coast Choppers headquarters in Long Beach, California e very few months for intimate encounters.
Smith’s claims come as website TMZ.com reports James paid a former fema le executive at West Coast Choppers $700,000 (=C2=A3437,500) in 2007 afte r she threatened to sue him for allegedly making sexual advances towards her.
The website claims James neither admitted nor denied the allegations in the settlement documents.

The investigation into tragic actor COREY HAIM’s death is stepping up - a pproximately 20 doctors have been handed subpoenas which will force them to give evidence in connection with the tragedy.
The Lost Boys star passed away in Los Angeles earlier this month (10Mar 10), after collapsing at his mum Judy’s house.
The cause of death is still unknown, but California’s Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. has fuelled speculation Haim died from a drugs overdo se by revealing the actor had obtained an illegal order for painkiller Ox yContin.
Haim was linked to a drug ring and could have had up to 20 doctors unkn owingly writing prescriptions for him.
Officials at the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office have identified th e medics and sent them subpoenas, according to TMZ.com.
The doctors are reportedly from Los Angeles, Orange County and Ventura County in California.
It’s unclear how helpful the medics will be to the investigation becaus e seven of them have reportedly claimed they never met Haim or prescribed medications for him.
The leaders of the apparent San Diego drug ring stole prescription pads from the doctors and wrote out illegal medication orders for clients. On e such client is believed to be Haim.

BILL COSBY’s former I SPY co-star ROBERT CULP has died in Los Angeles, ag ed 79.
The actor reportedly fell and banged his head outside his Hollywood hom e and was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital on Wednesday (24Mar10) ..
Culp began acting in the early 1950s and went on to become a prolific T V star, appearing in hit shows like Bonanza, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Greatest American Hero and Police Story.
As well as I Spy, he’ll be best known for playing comedian Ray Romano’s father in Everybody Loves Raymond.
Culp also enjoyed success as a movie star, appearing in films like Spy Hard and The Pelican Brief, opposite Julia Roberts.
He was working right up to his death - his final film, The Assignment, is currently in post-production.

R&B star AKON has scrapped plans to play in Sri Lanka after government of ficials denied him a visa following public outrage over a sacrilegious vi deo.
The singer was set to perform in Colombo next month (Apr10) but Buddhis t activists prompted officials to cancel the R&B star’s visa after spotti ng scantily clad women dancing in front of a Buddha statue in Akon’s new video Sexy Chick.
Sri Lankan Buddhists staged angry protests outside the headquarters of the promoters earlier this week (beg22Mar10), prompting leaders to rethin k Akon’s permit, and the R&B star has now expressed regret about the vide o oversight.
He has decided not to appeal the visa decision and instead has postpone d his trip to Sri Lanka.
A statement from his management reads, "Akon is looking forward to perf orming for the people of Sri Lanka and we hope to have this situation res olved in the coming weeks."

MICHAEL JACKSON’s father is preparing to file a wrongful death lawsuit ag ainst the King of Pop’s personal physician, DR. CONRAD MURRAY, amid alleg ations he administered the drugs that ultimately killed his son.
Murray has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter after Los Angeles prosecutors charged him with administering the powerful anaesthetic Propofol to Jackson minutes before the singer went into card iac arrest last June (09) and died.
Joe Jackson wants Murray held to account for medical malpractice and he has instructed his lawyer Brian Oxman to begin proceedings to file the w rongful death claims in Los Angeles County Superior Court next week (begs 29Mar10).
Oxman tells TMZ.com the Jackson family patriarch is seeking an unspecif ied amount of punitive damages, economic support, loss of companionship a nd loss of consortium.
Joe will be the only Jackson named as plaintiff, unless Oxman is contac ted by other interested family members.
However, the notice of the legal action has angered Murray’s lawyer Ed Chernoff, who is confident any such claim will not be awarded.
He says, "That’s like throwing a bucket of water on a man drowning in t he ocean."
