The bodyguard who allegedly helped DR. CONRAD MURRAY hide evidence of dru gs minutes after MICHAEL JACKSON’s death has been fired from his job.
Alberto Alvarez, who made the emergency call to paramedics on 25 June ( 09), was released from his employment on Friday (26Mar10), according to T MZ.com. The reason for his dismissal by the Jackson family is unknown.
Alvarez is said to have given a witness statement to Los Angeles police two months after Jackson’s death, suggesting Murray stopped administerin g CPR to the star so he could hide various drug vials before calling para medics.
In the leaked documents, obtained by the Associated Press, he alleges M urray ordered him to place drug containers in plastic bags and remove an IV tube from the singer’s leg.
Murray, the King of Pop’s personal physician, has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter after he was accused of administer ing the powerful anaesthetic Propofol, which led to the singer suffering a fatal cardiac arrest.

GWYNETH PALTROW has turned kosher food guru to help fellow Jews enjoy a d elicious Passover.
In the latest post on her Goop.com lifestyle website, the actress has o ffered up a series of recipes and recommendations in a bid to make sure ‘ Kosher for Passover’ is a tasty alternative.
She writes, "Keeping kosher will be easy this year now that I have disc overed Claudia Roden’s brilliant book, The Book of Jewish Food. I have to say that irrespective of religion, culture, or background, this is one o f the best books I’ve ever cooked out of.
"The flavors are outstanding and all of the recipes I have tried have b een simple to prepare and quick. I included some of my favorites, which a re great for Passover, or just any old day for that matter.
"In keeping with our theme, we have two different versions of matzo bre i for brunch and FINALLY, we have found two gorgeous kosher wines from th e Napa Valley that are sure to take your Seder (meal) up a notch." The recipes from Roden’s book include Iraqi Sweet and Sour Fish, Matzo and Spinach Pie and Chicken soup with rice, and there’s also a recipe for Gourmet Matzos Brie from Paltrow’s godfather Steven Spielberg.
Keeping the theme of Passover, which began on Monday (29Mar10), the act ress also includes a passage from Michael Berg, the co-director of The Ka bbalah Centre.

R&B star INDIA.ARIE is mourning the loss of her great grandmother, who di ed just months shy of turning 100.
The Video singer ‘tweeted’ her tributes to her late relative over the w eekend (28Mar10), telling followers she’d attended the funeral on Saturda y (27Mar10) and realised there her great grandmother was truly a great la dy.
In posts on Twitter.com, the singer/songwriter wrote, "Funerals always scare me but this one was just gorgeous. Hearing people talk about her sh owed me how much I am her child. She was a singer/ evangelist/ speaker/ m ade her own clothes… She was known for being well dressed and wearing t he highest heels you ever saw an old woman wear.
"My ggmah (sic) taught my MOTHER how to sew. And told her ‘it needs to be as pretty on the inside as it is on the out side’.
"(She) always did what she said, said what she thought, listened to peo ple with her whole heart, and dressed how she wanted… But my family isn ‘t sad. We’ve gained an angel… literally went when she was ready. She s aid ‘I’m tired’ and few days later went to ’sleep’ she was 99 yrs old (si c). (She) lived to see - 4 times great - grand children. That’s 5 generat ions! Was married 75 years… We’re not sad." And thanks to India.Arie, the star’s late great grandmother’s voice wil l live on on record.
The singer adds, "If you want to hear her speak and sing listen to GREA T GRANDMOTHER on testimony vol. 2 (her album) and she comes in on the end of better people (sic)."

DEVENDRA BANHART has been forced to scrap a series of shows after breakin g his leg in a freak skateboarding accident.
In a post on his website, the Carmensita singer reveals he broke his le g before a concert on Saturday night (27Mar10) and was unable to perform.
He tells fans he tried to think of ways to perform the remaining shows - but his doctors have banned him from taking to the stage.
He writes, "I wanted to play the shows anyway, like in a bed or somethi ng but the dr’s (sic) didn’t think that was a great idea." The cancelled shows are in Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, Colorado. (

A BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY concert in Cleveland, Ohio was thrown into disarra y on Sunday (28Mar10) when police stormed the stage and arrested rapper F LESH-N-BONE on outstanding warrants.
The hip-hop star, real name Stanley Howse, joined his old bandmates ons tage at the House of Blues but his set came to an abrupt end when he noti ced cops watching him from the audience.
He invited fans to invade the stage, before trying to make a discreet e xit by hiding among the crowd, according to local reports.
But his attempts failed and he was taken into custody by officers from the Cleveland Police Department, who placed him behind bars at Cuyahoga C ounty Jail.
The troubled rapper was wanted in the city for previous felony assault and domestic violence charges and he is due to appear in court on Wednesd ay (31Mar10).

At an employment tribunal on Monday (29Mar10), Sara Trumble claimed Mil ls forced her to work overtime without pay and then replaced her when she gave birth to her own daughter.
Trumble recalled working for Mills when she was married to McCartney an d then standing by her boss when her marriage ended and through her bitte r divorce trial.
In court, the nanny said, "I was, I believe, a great source of comfort and support for Heather at this time." Mills gifted Trumble with a new car and cash when her daughter was born , but things turned sour, according to the nanny, when the former model d emanded that she return to work while she was still on maternity leave - and employed her as a full-time cleaner.
Mills, who was in court for her former employee’s testimony, is expecte d to take the stand on Tuesday (30Mar10), according to the Associated Pre ss.

The singer/songwriter rips off her clothes in front of complete strange rs, eventually baring all in her new Window Seat promo, which was filmed at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas - where President John F. Kennedy was as sassinated in 1963.
The controversial video ends shortly after Badu’s big reveal, when a gu nshot rings out and she collapses on to the sidewalk, bleeding blue as sh e lies dead.
The new video has already been ripped from YouTube.com over a copyright issue and watchdog groups are already upset about the idea of Badu barin g all in a pop video.

Singer RICKY MARTIN has finally confirmed the worst kept secret in pop - he’s gay.
The Livin’ La Vida Loca hitmaker has long been dogged by rumours he’s a homosexual but he has never ‘come out’ as a gay man - until now.
Ironically, he attempted to brush off speculation about his sexuality i n a candid interview almost a decade ago, stating: "I am a modern man, li ve a full life, do not feel any barriers inside myself. If I were gay, wh y not admit it? I am a normal man. I love women and sex. I am a real hot- blooded Puerto Rican, but I have never been attracted by sex with a man." But Martin further fuelled the gay rumours in 2008 when he adopted twin baby boys, Matteo and Valentino, born to a surrogate mother.
And now the star has finally revealed all to fans in a post on his offi cial website, confirming he is attracted to men.
He writes, "A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life ..
"From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the t ool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying with in me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this i s something worth celebrating." He reveals many close aides and friends advised him against revealing t he "entire truth," but he admits, "Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I tak e full responsibility for my decisions and my actions." He adds, "These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and re minded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of t ruth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed.
"What will happen from now on? It doesn’t matter. I can only focus on w hat’s happening to me in this moment. The word ‘happiness’ takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every wo rd that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachmen t and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner pea ce and vital part of my evolution.
"I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very bles sed to be who I am."

The man who penned the screenplay for JOHN TRAVOLTA’s 2000 flop BATTLEFIE LD EARTH has apologised to film fans - for writing it.
J.D. Shapiro’s treatment became the film that was voted the Worst Movie of the Decade at the recent Golden Raspberry Awards, and now the writer has spoken of his shame in an open letter in the New York Post.
The screenwriter states, "Let me start by apologizing to anyone who wen t to see Battlefield Earth. It wasn’t as I intended - promise. No one set s out to make a train wreck. Actually, comparing it to a train wreck isn’ t really fair to train wrecks, because people actually want to watch thos e." Shapiro goes on to explain he met top Church of Scientologist official Karen Hollander at an event and she invited him to turn the religion’s fo under L. Ron Hubbard’s books into movies. Shortly afterwards, he met with Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston - both Scientologists.
After reluctantly studying Scientology to research Hubbard’s teachings, the screenwriter agreed to "come up with a pitch to take to studios".
Shapiro explains, "I met with Mike Marcus, the president of MGM, and pi tched him my take. He loved it, and the next day negotiations went under way (sic). A few days after I finished the script, a very excited Travolt a called, told me he ‘loved it,’ and wanted to have dinner. At dinner, Jo hn said again how much he loved the script and called it The Schindler’s List of sci-fi.
"My script was very, VERY different than what ended up on the screen. M y screenplay was darker, grittier and had a very compelling story with ri ch characters. What my screenplay didn’t have was slow motion at every tu rn, Dutch tilts, campy dialogue, aliens in KISS boots, and everyone weari ng Bob Marley wigs." He concludes, "I penned the suckiest movie ever - sorry."

Moviemaker JOHN MILIUS has blasted plans to remake action film RED DAWN - because the original is only 25 years old.
Milius, who directed and co-wrote the original, is not part of MGM’s pl anned revamp - and he can’t believe it’s going ahead.
He tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "I think it’s a stupid thing to do. The movie is not very old." And Milius insists the new script is "terrible".
He adds, "It’s all about neat action scenes and has nothing to do with story." The original featured future Dirty Dancing stars Patrick Swayze and Jen nifer Grey and Emilio Estevez; the remake will star Chris Hemsworth and W atchmen star Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
And while 1985’s Red Dawn dealt with the Cold War threat that existed b etween the U.S. and Russia, the new film deals with plans for China to in vade America - a plotline that baffles Milius.
He explains, "Why would China want us? They sell us stuff. We’re a mark et. I would have done it about Mexico."

SANDRA BULLOCK’s troubled marriage has been rocked by new reports her hus band JESSE JAMES had an affair with a fourth woman behind her back.
The Hollywood star walked out on James earlier this month (Mar10) after tattoo model Michelle McGee went public with claims she romanced the mar ried reality TV star for 11 months - including a period when Bullock was shooting The Blind Side on location.
A second woman came forward last week (ends26Mar10) with fresh allegati ons of infidelity levelled at James and a third woman, who initially made claims, has since retracted her comments, insisting she was never intima te with the TV mechanic.
Now it has emerged there’s a fourth potential mistress - but she intend s to keep her alleged affair with James private.
The unnamed woman has hired top lawyer Gloria Allred to protect her pri vacy from the tabloids.
Allred, who currently represents two of the women involved in the Tiger Woods cheating scandal, confirmed last week (ends26Mar10) she had been a ppointed to represent the woman, described as a "beautiful model and busi nesswoman".

Rapper SNOOP DOGG has no hard feelings against the U.S. TV bosses who can celled his family reality show SNOOP DOGG’S FATHER HOOD - he’s convinced the programme was scrapped because there was no "drama".
The hip-hop star, real name Calvin Broadus, invited cameras from the E! cable channel into his Los Angeles home in 2007 to document his daily ro utine with his wife Shante and their children Cori, Cordell and Corde.
The programme lasted for two seasons before it was axed in 2008 but Sno op Dogg has no regrets about the show because he’s proud of how well-beha ved his kids are.
He tells talk show host Larry King, "I believe the show was too positiv e and too enlightening. They wanted some drama. You gotta understand, I’m Snoop Dogg so you want confusion, you want destruction, but my house is not like that. My wife does a great job running my house and my kids so i t’s a beautiful situation." R&B star USHER has been put off the idea of marriage following the bitter split from his ex-wife TAMEKA FOSTER.
The Yeah! hitmaker wed the stylist in 2007 but they parted ways last ye ar (09) and he subsequently filed for divorce, claiming their union was " irretrievably broken" with "no reasonable hope of reconciliation".
Their legal battle turned nasty over custody of their two sons Usher Ra ymond V, two, and one-year-old Naviyd Ely Raymond but they settled their differences and their divorce was finalised in November (09).
But Usher admits the whole experience has made him think twice about ru shing into marriage in the future.
He says, "I don’t know (if he’d marry again), I wanna hold my horses, I ‘m 31. Let me just take my time. I have two beautiful children, I wanna b e comfortable, I’m not in a rush."

TWILIGHT star ROBERT PATTINSON is refusing to sign up for any romantic co medy movies - because he fears he’ll be hailed as the next HUGH GRANT.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS rocker SCOTT WEILAND was left red-faced during a conc ert in Iowa last week (25Mar10) when he tumbled off the stage and into th e crowd.
The singer was midway through a song when he lost his footing and fell into the front row in Sioux City.
