RAPPER SCARFACE COMES OUT OF RETIREMENT
SCARFACE has come out of retirement - the rapper is releasing new materia l one year after announcing plans to hang up his mic.
The star, real name Brad Jordan, announced in December 2008 that he wou ld "quit" after releasing album Emeritus - meaning retired professor - sa ying at the time, "I don’t retire, I quit. It feels real good. The Emerit us record, the reason I’m so proud of it is because it’s my last. I’m don e, man. If you leave it up to me, I quit." But it appears the hip-hop star isn’t ready to disappear from the rap s cene - he’s confirmed plans to put out his first independent mixtape late r this year (10).
He says, "I love music, I eat, sleep and s**t music. I always wanted to drop a mixtape on my own. So I just said, ‘Let’s drop an independent mix tape.’ I feel that I should be an adult and musician and pioneer - that’s what they call me. I feel that I need to move on to another stage with t he way I deliver my music to the public.
"I got a lot of s**t and I’m using about three per cent of what I know about music. I’m not using it all. I’m music. I can play that s**t long e nough for a real musician to catch it and feel me, where I’m going, and w e make magic like that."
