ABIGAIL BRESLIN’s Broadway show THE MIRACLE WORKER is set to close next m onth (Apr10), after it failed to win over critics and audiences.
The revival of William Gibson’s play, about a young deaf and blind Hele n Keller, played by Breslin, and her instructor, played by Alison Pill, h as earned mixed reviews since it debuted earlier this year (10).
One critic wrote, "Surely this production, the first revival of The Mir acle Worker to come to Broadway, could have highlighted the play’s streng ths more effectively… (director) Ms. Whoriskey’s production never finds its focus." And now show bosses have announced that the production will close on 4 April (10), according to Variety.com.
