FAT MIKE DEFENDS SICK URINE STUNT
Punk star ‘FAT MIKE’ BURKETT has defended his decision to hand out shots of urine-tainted tequila to fans during his performance at a recent music festival, insisting he did not break any laws with the sick stunt.
The NOFX bassist played a solo set as his alter ego Cokie the Clown at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas last week (begs15Mar10) and appeared to treat fans to a few rounds of Patron during his show, dow ning a couple himself, according to Pinpoint Music.
But his willing participants were in for a shock when he then aired a s hort video showing him urinating into a bottle of tequila - which was the n served to the audience.
Burkett is now facing the wrath of his devotees - but he has no regrets and insists he checked out the legality of the stunt before he did it.
He tells TMZ.com, "I confirmed that urine was not classified as a bioha zard waste and not subject to the risks of legal ramifications of blood, semen, or faeces." Burkett is now reportedly facing an investigation by officials at the A ustin Health Department, who admitted they had no prior knowledge of the incident.
