BIEBER SUPPORTS MANAGER OVER TWITTER DISPUTE
Teen pop sensation JUSTIN BIEBER has offered his support to his manager, who turned himself into police on Wednesday (24Mar10) to face charges rel ating to the singer’s chaotic appearance at a shopping mall in New York i n November (09).
The 16 year old was forced to cancel a signing appearance at the Roosev elt Field mall after thousands of fans descended on the venue - overwhelm ing security teams and police. One young girl was hospitalised in the cha os.
After the incident, the singer claimed he and several associates had be en threatened with arrest unless he sent out an internet message to fans using his Twitter.com page, informing them the event had been cancelled a nd urging them to go home.
Bieber’s manager, Scott ‘Scooter’ Braun, has now surrendered to police to answer misdemeanour charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuis ance - after he allegedly refused to cancel the event.
And the Baby hitmaker is determined to stand by his manager.
He donned a ‘Free Scooter’ T-shirt during an appearance in Chicago, Ill inois on Wednesday (24Mar10) - and sent his troubled svengali a message o f support on his Twitter.com page.
Bieber writes, "You’ve got my total support (Scooter Braun). Wish you w ere here in Chicago with us. FreeScooter." Braun has pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless endangerment, crimi nal nuisance and endangering the welfare of a child. He faces a year in j ail if convicted.
