PRODUCERS REDUCE SHEEN’S SITCOM TO 22 EPISODES
The producers of CHARLIE SHEEN’s hit TV sitcom TWO AND A HALF MEN have sc rapped two of the upcoming season’s final four episodes after filming was halted following the actor’s admission into rehab.
Shooting on the U.S. comedy was suspended last month (Feb10) when Sheen , who has a history of drug abuse, checked himself into a recovery facili ty as a "preventative measure".
But the rehab stint has disrupted TV bosses’ plans to film a total of 2 4 episodes and they have now cut the seventh season down to 22 shows, rep orts TMZ.com.
Sheen’s admission into a treatment centre came just weeks after his Chr istmas Day (25Dec09) arrest in Aspen, Colorado following a bust-up with h is wife Brooke Mueller.
The altercation has left Sheen facing a string of felony domestic viole nce charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty, and he is due to stand t rial later this year (10).
