GAMBLE AND HUFF MULL OVER MUSEUM IDEA
Legendary songwriters KENNETH GAMBLE and LEON HUFF are contemplating rebu ilding the charred remains of their Philadelphia, Pennsylvania offices in to a music museum.
The Philadelphia International Records office, where the Me and Mrs. Jo nes hitmakers held recording sessions with late industry icons Michael Ja ckson and Teddy Pendergrass, went up in smoke in February (10).
The building suffered serious fire and water damage, but the recording studio itself managed to remain intact and was largely unaffected by the incident.
Huff had initially vowed to restore the office building - but now the d uo is mulling over the idea of creating a museum to highlight Philadelphi a’s contributions to the music industry, which Huff admits could become a "tremendous" tourist attraction.
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Christopher Cimini, the man accused of setting t he building alight, is due to stand trial on arson and burglary charges l ater this year (10).
