COLE FEARS ACCENT WILL WRECK X FACTOR DREAM
Singer CHERYL COLE is thrilled SIMON COWELL wants her on the judging pane l when he takes his hit TV talent show THE X FACTOR to the U.S. - but she fears American viewers will struggle to understand her British accent.
The Girls Aloud star is currently a mentor on the U.K. version of the p rogramme, and Cowell reportedly plans to keep her on his team for the Sta teside launch next year (11).
Cole is delighted with the proposal - but fears her strong north-east E ngland accent will leave viewers in the U.S. baffled.
She says, "It’s kind of really scary. You know - like, why would they g ive a ‘b’ (care) what I thought? They don’t know me out there and I have got this weird accent and it would be a bit, ‘What?’! "I love the thought of it and I would absolutely love to do it. The tal ent out there is phenomenal, so I would get an absolute buzz off doing it , but whether they would get a buzz off me is a different thing." (ZN/WNV
