ALICE STILL IN WONDERLAND AT THE TOP OF THE U.S. BOX OFFICE
JOHNNY DEPP and TIM BURTON’s fantastic ALICE IN WONDERLAND is still Ameri ca’s top film for a third week after making $34.5 (=C2=A321.6 million) ov er the weekend (19-21Mar10).
The film, based loosely on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Thro ugh the Looking Glass novels, has now made over $265 million (165.6 milli on) since its release.
Family film Diary of a Wimpy Kid stunned film experts by opening in sec ond place - ahead of Jennifer Aniston comedy The Bounty Hunter and Jude L aw’s new movie Repo Men.
Wimpy Kid, which chronicles the problems of an under-sized schoolboy, o pened with $21.8 million (=C2=A313.6 million) - a million more that The B ounty Hunter.
