Legendary producer Tony Visconti has revealed Bowie and Bolan worked to= gether in the late 1960s and came very close to forming their own supergr= oup.
He tells Spinner.com, "All I wanted to do was promote Marc as an electr= ic guitarist; I thought it would have been a great coup to have him play = on David’s record. David was extremely happy to have Marc play on the rec= ord.
"After Marc had played this brilliant solo… (Bolan’s wife) June just = sniped at David, ‘He’s too good for you! He shouldn’t play on your music!= ‘ and she dragged Marc out. It was one of the few times that I saw him at= a loss for words.
"Marc just wanted to be a star; this was like the carpet was pulled out= from under him. If Bowie had asked him to join the band, he probably wou= ld have." Instead the two became glam-rock icons in the 1970s.

Faith healer and televangelist BENNY HINN’s wife has filed for divorce.
Suzanne Hinn filed divorce papers in Orange County, California earlier = this month (01Feb10). She has hired top divorce attorney Sorrell Trope to= represent her.
The couple wed in 1979 and have four children.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Hinn is one of the world’s most fin= ancially successful faith healers, who flies around the world in a leased= Gulfstream jet to lead his Miracle Crusades. He also operates a televisi= on studio.

Celebrity wrestler HULK HOGAN has settled a negligence lawsuit over a 200= 7 car crash, which left a 19-year-old ex-Marine with permanent brain dama= ge.
Hogan’s son Nick Bollea pleaded no contest to reckless driving for his = part in the high-speed collision in Clearwater, Florida, which left passe= nger John Graziano with a skull fracture. He completed 166 days of an eig= ht-month prison sentence in 2008.
Graziano’s family filed an auto negligence civil lawsuit against Nick, = his wrestler dad Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, his mother Linda Bollea a= nd friend Daniel Jacob in March (09), alleging they were negligent in the= ir actions, which led to Graziano’s injuries.
An attorney for the Graziano family announced the settlement on Friday = (19Feb10) but did not disclose its terms.
Graziano was under doctors’ care at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospita= l in Tampa, Florida following the accident. He was discharged last Septem= ber (09Sep09) and allowed to go home with his mother, but is still in nee= d of 24-hour care.
Hogan’s estranged wife Linda previously settled with Graziano’s family.=

Former child star BRIAN BONSALL is in a lot of legal trouble after violat= ing the terms of his probation by openly using marijuana.
The Family Ties actor was arrested in Boulder, Colorado and appeared in= court on Friday (19Feb10).
His defence attorney told the court the actor needs marijuana for heada= ches and has applied for a medical marijuana card.
Bonsall, 28, also pleaded not guilty to an assault charge and a failure= to report charge involving another case.
He is accused of repeatedly hitting a friend in the head with a broken = stool in December (09) and of missing a court hearing in 2007 in another = assault case.
Bail was set at $10,000 (GBP6,250), according to U.S. TV news show The = Insider.

LIEV SCHREIBER and SCARLETT JOHANSSON disgusted theatregoers during a rec= ent performance of their Broadway show A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE after the a= ctor accidentally spat mucus in his co-star’s face.
The pair are currently appearing in the Arthur Miller play, in which Jo= hansson portrays a 17-year-old girl in 1950s New York with Schreiber as h= er uncle.
And a heated scene became all too real when Schreiber’s saliva hit Joha= nsson on the forehead.
She says, "We’re really close to one another and we have these scenes w= here he’s getting really upset and there’s a lot of rage. A couple of wee= ks ago we were doing this scene. He’s right here (in my face) and he’s sc= reaming at me and all of a sudden - it happened almost in slow motion - I= saw it. These pearls of spittle. And then this one asteroid of a loogie = (landed on my forehead) made that flicking sound." But Johansson refused to stop the show after the sticky mishap, and con= tinued to perform with saliva dripping down her face.

KISS frontman PAUL STANLEY will show off his painting skills in two new a= rt exhibitions.
The rocker has painted for years in his spare time and successfully sol= d many of his artworks, taking in $2 million (GBP1.3 million) in 2007 alo= ne.

Rapper SKY BLU found himself at the centre of a police investigation on M= onday (15Feb10), following an airplane confrontation with U.S. politician= MITT ROMNEY.
The LMFAO rapper was sitting in front of former Republican U.S. preside= ntial contender Romney on a Los Angeles-bound Air Canada flight but was e= scorted off the plane before it departed from Vancouver.
A video posted on TMZ.com shows Sky Blu explaining the episode, insisti= ng was trying to go to sleep when he leaned his seat back and Romney obje= cted.
According to the rapper, Romney loudly told him to straighten the seat = and grabbed his shoulder, prompting him to slap Romney’s arm away. The po= litician’s wife, Ann, screamed and the plane returned to the gate before = two police officers escorted the rapper off.
Sky was not arrested in the incident.
Defending his actions, he says: "I started to sleep and I hear this guy= , ‘Sir, sir! Put your seat up! It was pretty hostile. I thought it was a = flight attendant at first… and then I see him reaching over and he grab= s my shoulder. ‘Sir, put your seat up!’ and I reacted, boom, (swinging my= arm). I didn’t take anything further than that. I just wanted the man no= t to touch me." Romney’s spokesperson has declined to issue comment.

SEX PISTOLS star JOHN LYDON turned down an invitation to join music legen= ds PINK FLOYD, because he feared he’d appear pretentious.
Lydon insists he’s a huge fan of the pop icons - despite a famous photo= graph of him wearing a T-shirt with the slogan I Hate Pink Floyd - claimi= ng the band’s early music heavily influenced the Sex Pistols.
So he was stunned when the remaining members of Pink Floyd asked him to= help them re-record their iconic album Dark Side of the Moon.
Lydon tells The Stool Pigeon, "I’ve no idea where I got (that T-shirt) = from. You’d have to be daft as a brush to say you didn’t like Pink Floyd.= They’ve done great stuff. Dark Side Of The Moon, I love.
"Two years ago when they came to L.A., they asked me would I come on an= d do a bit of Dark Side of The Moon with them and the idea thrilled me no= end. It would have been very, very neat but it stunk a little in my head= of ‘What am I doing here?’ I came so close to doing it, (but) it felt li= ke I was trying to set myself up as some kind of pretentious person." Lydon admits he regrets turning the offer down, and is hoping he’ll get= asked again: "I wanted to do it. But just not when 20,000 people were th= ere. I’d have gone to a studio and played around with it there. But not f= or the bigger picture. Privately. I’d love to go into the studio and do s= omething with the album with them."

Rapper NAS has pleaded not guilty to contempt of court amid allegations h= e failed to pay child and spousal support to his estranged wife KELIS.
The Milkshake singer filed for divorce from Nas last year (09), just mo= nths before giving birth to their son Knight in July.
The former couple has since been embroiled in a bitter divorce battle, = prompting Kelis to file a contempt motion against the rapper, alleging he= ’s failed to support his family financially.
At a court hearing on Friday (19Feb10), Kelis’ lawyer accused Nas of ow= ing more than $200,000 (GBP125,000) in child and spousal support and atto= rney’s fees.
Nas’ attorney entered a not guilty plea on the rapper’s behalf.

Legendary directory MARTIN SCORSESE is so impressed with KATHRYN BIGELOW’= s Oscar-nominated war film THE HURT LOCKER he has tipped her to win the B= est Director prize at next month’s (07Mar10) Academy Awards.

ABIGAIL BRESLIN Broadway debut in THE MIRACLE WORKER is proving a physica= l challenge for the young actress - she sliced her hand open during a pre= view performance on Thursday (18Feb10).
Breslin portrays a young deaf and blind Helen Keller in the revival of = William Gibson’s play, about a youngster who is taught how to communicate= by her instructor.
The 13 year old cut her hand open on a porcelain doll in one scene on T= hursday - but her co-star Matthew Modine reveals the accident was just th= e latest in a string of injuries for Breslin.
And he’s heaped praise on the teen for taking the pitfalls of the gruel= ling role in her stride.
He says, "She’s been getting her bruises and her cuts. She’s got some s= titches that are coming out of her hand now. She cut her hand last night = (18Feb10) on a porcelain doll. It’s a very physical and demanding role fo= r her but she’s up to the challenge." The Miracle Worker is set to open on 3 March (10), marking the 50th ann= iversary of the show’s Broadway debut.
