TRAVIS BARKER has spoken out over allegations he threatened a photographe= r and slashed his tyres over the weekend (20-21Feb10) - insisting a famil= y outing with his children was spoilt by snappers.
Police were called to a restaurant in California on Sunday morning (21F= eb10) following an alleged confrontation between the Blink-182 drummer an= d photographers outside the eaterie.
A video posted on TMZ.com appears to show one paparazzo accusing Barker= of stealing his cell phone and slashing his car tyres.
But the musician is fuming about the allegations and has taken to his T= witter.com page to explain the incident to fans.
He reveals he was "outnumbered" by photographers as he left the restaur= ant with his two young children and returned an hour later to confront th= e snappers.
And he’s appealed to them to stop taking pictures of his family - becau= se he doesn’t court attention.
He writes, "When I’m out at breakfast at 8am in the morning the last th= ing I appreciate is some photographer threatening me to a fight while he’= s three deep. When I defend myself/my kids that don’t make me a tough guy= (sic). I was outnumbered and threatened so I did what any man would.
"Paparazzi cried like young girls when it was no longer three of them a= gainst me and my kids. Didn’t they remember threatening me an hour ago? W= hat happened to the tough guys with the cameras? It was gonna be a fair f= ight.
"Bottom line, take photos at red carpets. Take pics of hungry Hollywood= starlets and douche bags that are out at clubs and bars that like it. I’= m not a socialite out begging for that kind of attention. I’m a family ma= n out with my kids. Don’t get the two twisted.
"All the footage these lames released to the press is one sided cause t= hey edited it."

JAMES MCAVOY is celebrating passing his driving test after just two weeks= of lessons.

Moviemaker KEVIN SMITH is convinced overweight people face discrimination= in America - because there is a lot of "fat hate out there".
The Clerks director was left fuming earlier this month (Feb10) when he = was booted off a Southwest airlines flight because of his size.

KASABIAN frontman TOM MEIGHAN has slammed his peers for opening up to fan= s on the internet - because he’s convinced the rising popularity of celeb= rity blogging has "killed the myth of the rock star".
The singer is angry that musicians give away so much information about = themselves on blogs and social networking sites such as Twitter.com - and= he’s sure the practise is detrimental to the music industry.

Cops were called to a California restaurant on Saturday night (20Feb10) a= fter TRAVIS BARKER allegedly threatened a paparazzo, stole his phone and = slashed his car’s tyres, according to a U.S. report.

EWAN MCGREGOR is keen to pen an autobiography - but is convinced his life= story is "too boring" to open up about.
