BARRINO’S FAN MAIL SCARE
FANTASIA BARRINO has increased her security during her run in THE COLOR P= URPLE after receiving a threatening letter on Friday (19Feb10).
The former American Idol winner immediately alerted police after findin= g the alarming letter in a pile of fan mail she was reading following a p= erformance in the stage show at Los Angeles’ Pantages Theater.
Her manager claims the note contained a number of racial slurs as well = as the line, "Go back (to) where you came from and die." Barrino is now being looked after by guards and authorities are screeni= ng items sent to her dressing room.
But the defiant singer is refusing to let the incident keep her from pe= rforming, telling TMZ.com, "I will not be defeated by one isolated person= ’s hatred."
