LAMBERT ‘FEELS BAD’ FOR BLASTING CHATTY FAN
Singer ADAM LAMBERT regrets silencing an audience member who was talking = on her cell phone during a recent gig - but insists she needed to "learn = a lesson" about concert etiquette.
The former American Idol runner-up was performing at New York’s PC Rich= ard & Son Theater on Monday (15Feb10) when he spotted a fan chatting to a= pal.
He ordered her to stop using her phone, adding: "You’re not watching TV= , honey - it’s a live show!" Lambert admits he rues humiliating the woman in front of other fans, bu= t is adamant it was the right thing to do.
He tells Access Hollywood, "I feel bad. I didn’t mean to make her feel = bad. I was trying to record an acoustic song. We were recording the conce= rt and it was very quiet and intimate and she was in the third row, quite= loud on her cell phone. I just told her to please get off of it because = I (couldn’t) concentrate… I made sure afterwards to kind of blow her a = kiss and like, make amends.
"I didn’t want to really embarrass her. For that moment she needed to b= e a little embarrassed and she needed to learn that lesson and I’m glad."=
