SADE MARCHES BACK TO THE TOP OF THE U.S. ALBUM CHARTS
Beloved British singer SADE has scored her first number one album in Amer= ica since 1986.
As expected, her new release Soldier of Love has debuted at the top of = the Billboard 200 with a staggering first week of 502,000 sales.
The last time the Smooth Operator singer was on top of the charts was 2= 4 years ago with Promise.
Sade’s last release, 2001’s Lovers Rock, debuted at three.
Last week’s number one, Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now, drops to two on= the new chart, while R&B singer Jaheim debuts at three with Another Roun= d.
Lil Wayne’s Rebirth and country star Josh Turner’s Haywire round out th= e new top five.
