Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:33 pm

Cinema bosses in Britain have piled pressure on film chiefs after joining= the planned boycott of TIM BURTON’s new blockbuster ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
Plans to launch the movie on DVD just three months after it hits cinema= s have already sparked outrage in Holland, with many movie theatre execut= ives in the Netherlands refusing to show the picture if the early home re= lease goes ahead.
Now U.K. cinemas bosses at Odeon, Vue and Cineworld have joined the pro= test, insisting the 3D film - starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway - sh= ould be given the standard 17-week gap before it is made available for ho= me viewing.
The move could leave many U.K. film fans unable to buy tickets for Alic= e In Wonderland when it hits movie theatres next month (Mar10), as Odeon,= Vue and Cineworld account for 60 per cent of British cinema screens, and= more than 90 per cent of 3D screens.
