"Oh Piers it wasn’t, wasn’t good. But you’ve just got to deal with it, you know, and I went back and realised that your first responsibility is that you’ve got to look after your mum. It was a horrible, horrible, horr ible time, like I said. You believe everyone is going to live for ever an d they don’t. And all the stuff you think you care about, the hit records and stuff like that, it’s just meaningless." Cowell also admits the tragedy made him face up to his own emotions, wh ich he tries to keep hidden from his loved ones.
He adds, "I can’t admit things, that’s why I can’t go to funerals and s tuff like that. I find it very, very difficult to deal with that kind of reality. I shut myself off totally because it affects me so badly.
"And then, because I had to deal with that (my father’s death), it was the hardest thing I ever had, because I’ve never lost anyone in my life, you know, it was the first thing like that that ever happened and I just couldn’t accept it."

Two men have been arrested after allegedly using a bogus credit card to p ay off a $28,500 (=C2=A317,800) bar tab at JUELZ SANTANA’s 27th birthday party.
The rapper turned 27 last Thursday (18Feb10) and his celebrations conti nued on Monday (22Feb10), when he partied with fans and friends including Lil’ Kim, Ashanti and Snoop Dogg at New York nightclub M2 Ultralounge.
Two patrons, Robsson Depeine and Jeff Sylvain, are said to have ordered several bottles of expensive vodka and champagne, even sending one over to Santana.
But they aroused the suspicion of the bar manager after running up the bill by ordering two bottles of Veuve Clicquot, costing $3,500 (=C2=A32,1 00), and another $5,500 (=C2=A33,400) bottle.
General manager Dan Devlin tells the New York Post, "That=E2=80=99s whe n one of our managers became suspicious. The men were arrested after allegedly handing over a fake American Expr ess card. They’re being held on $20,000 (=C2=A312,500) bail on charges of grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
But the pair’s attorney Joseph Coluccio maintains Depeine and Sylvain a re innocent victims of mistaken identity: "There were several people putt ing down credit cards and ordering pricey bottles of champagne. There was chaos at the end of the night and the bartender realised that there had been fraudulent transactions. The club couldn’t find the real person who gave them the credit card, so my clients were wrongly identified. It’s a joke."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:33 pm

WHITNEY HOUSTON’s tour promoter has offered an explanation for the singer ’s faltering voice - the star refuses to quit smoking.

I told her I have her back but she said, ‘If the good Lord wants me to be attac ked and ridiculed that’s the road I have to go down.’ "It’s an interesting approach. Here I am being aggressive in trying to protect her and she said, ‘I love you for it but let it go. I can only gi ve my best, if that’s not good enough, so be it. I’m comfortable in my ow n skin.’"
