FARRELL’S SEX SCENE SNIPPED FROM ONDINE

A sex scene featuring COLIN FARRELL and his real-life girlfriend has been= cut from their upcoming movie ONDINE.
The Irish actor found love with Polish actress Alicja Bachleda last yea= r (09) on the set of the film, about a fisherman who falls in love with a= mermaid, and the couple welcomed a baby boy in October (09).
But fans won’t be able to see a racy romp filmed between the real-life = lovers - Ondine director Neil Jordan has axed what he has described as an= "operatic" sex scene between the co-stars over concerns the film was too= long.
Jordan insists he "just trimmed a bit" of the film by taking five to se= ven minutes off the running time.
He explains, "Sex scenes are embarrassing for anyone involved. The dist= ributors did not want me to trim the movie at all, and that’s the truth. = I wanted to." The film is slated to hit cinemas worldwide in September (10). (PAW/WNW=

PIRATES SETS SAIL FOR HAWAII=20

JOHNNY DEPP is set to give Hawaii a major industry and tourism boost - hi= s fourth PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie will be shot there.
The islands’ Governor Linda Lingle claims the film, On Stranger Tides, = will generate an estimated $85 million (=C2=A353.1 million).
Making the location announcement on Tuesday (19Jan10), Lingle revealed = Nine moviemaker Rob Marshall will direct the film on Oahu and Kauai.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed the news, stating, "We’ve alwa= ys sought out the most extraordinary and exotic locations… (and) Hawaii= provides an amazing range of both land and seascapes." It’s not the first time the Pirates franchise has visited Hawaii - Pira= tes of the Caribbean: At World’s End was partly shot on Maui and Molokai.
It’s a big movie year for the islands - Clint Eastwood’s new film Herea= fter and George Clooney’s The Descendants will both be shot in the state.=

MUSE HAD A TASTE OF LILY’S LIFE

British rockers MUSE were given a taste of LILY ALLEN’s fame while perfor= ming in New Zealand earlier this month (Jan10) - and they didn’t like it.
The band played a festival with the Smile hitmaker and socialised with = the star on the beach before they were set to take the stage.
But after being surrounded by snappers eager to get photos of the pop s= tar, bassist Chris Wolstenholme is glad people are only interested in his= music and not his private life.
He says, "They spotted her and started taking pictures while we all sat= around. Then the next day the caption read, ‘Lily Allen with friends.’ "We’re certainly not like Lily Allen who is a very famous person aside = from her music. For us, it’s always been about the band and the music.
"We don’t really want to cross that line and be famous for anything oth= er than music. None of us are interesting enough to be famous for anythin= g else anyway."

SPANDAU & TEARS JOIN FORCES FOR AUSSIE TOUR

Reformed pop acts SPANDAU BALLET and TEARS FOR FEARS are heading Down Und= er - the eighties hitmakers will tour Australia in April (10).
The Gold stars - Tony Hadley, brothers Gary and Martin Kemp, Steve Norm= an and John Keeble - got back together for a series of gigs in the U.K. a= nd Ireland last October (09).
And following the success of their comeback concerts, the band is set t= o play for Aussie fans with five dates across the country, alongside fell= ow ’80s favourites Tears For Fears.
The jaunt will kick off in Perth on 17 April (10) and finish on 27 Apri= l in Brisbane.
Spandau Ballet originally split in 1989, while the Mad World duo quit i= n 1991.

SOVEREIGN BRANDS BEACHAM A ‘BULLY’ AFTER REALITY TV STINT

British rapper LADY SOVEREIGN confronted TV bosses during her stint on a = U.K. reality show accusing DYNASTY actress STEPHANIE BEACHAM of bullying = her.
The hip-hop star, real name Louise Harman, was one of several celebriti= es - including Beacham, actors Vinnie Jones and Stephen Baldwin and singe= r Sisqo - to take part in Celebrity Big Brother, which is currently airin= g in Britain.
But after she was voted off the show on Monday (18Jan10) for behaving b= adly, Harman claims she only acted up to defend herself against the rest = of the ‘housemates’ who ostracised her.
And the star points the finger at 61-year-old Beacham and ex-boyband st= ar Dane Bowers as the main antagonists.
She tells Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, "I was bullied into making my= self look absolutely horrible and that wasn’t the case.
"Everyone was bullying me except Sisqo and Stephen. I would say the mai= n bullies were Dane and Stephanie, without a doubt.
"At one point I went to the Diary Room and I wouldn’t say I was close t= o tears, but I was very sensitive about the issue of bullying.
"I said it was unacceptable that certain people were treating me this w= ay. I expressed my feelings but, at the same time, I stood up to them. No= one was bothered, though." But a spokesperson for the show insists they closely monitored the acti= on - and didn’t feel as if any bullying took place.
A rep says, "The welfare of housemates is of paramount importance and u= nacceptable behaviour, including bullying, is not tolerated in the BB hou= se.
"All housemates are monitored closely around the clock by a dedicated t= eam and procedures are in place, including access to BB at any time, to e= nsure that housemates feel supported."

COUNTRY STAR DANIELS RECOVERING AFTER STROKE

Legendary country music star CHARLIE DANIELS is recovering after sufferin= g a mild stroke on Friday (15Jan10).
The Devil Went Down To Georgia musician was snowmobiling near his home = in Colorado when he fell ill, and was rushed to hospital nearby.
However, he had to be airlifted to the Swedish Medical Center in Denver= to have further treatment.
After two days under the watchful eyes of medics, the fiddler was allow= ed home on Sunday (17Jan10).

TWO MORE WOMEN ACCUSE BROOKS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

Oscar-winning songwriter JOSEPH BROOKS has been hit with two more charges= of sexual assault - taking the number of women he allegedly abused to 13= ..
Brooks, 71, was arrested in June (09), accused of taking advantage of 1= 1 wannabe actresses who answered his online adverts for screen roles.
Now prosecutors have found two more women who claim they were molested = by the You Light Up My Life songwriter.
On Tuesday (19Jan10), Brooks pleaded not guilty to the additional charg= es at a New York courthouse. He has maintained his innocence throughout t= he investigation.
In August (09), Brooks’ lawyer Jeffery Hoffman urged the presiding judg= e to split the cases separately, insisting if a jury heard all the eviden= ce at once they were sure to find him guilty.

VALLETTA: ‘I DIDN’T MAKE CHAN ILL’

SPIDER-MAN GETS A NEW WEBB

(500) DAYS OF SUMMER director MARC WEBB is the new man behind the SPIDER-= MAN prequel.
Webb will replace Sam Raimi as the director of the fourth Spider-Man fi= lm, which is scheduled for a 2012 release.
The news comes a week after Raimi and actor Tobey Maguire quit the late= st installment after making three Spider-Man films together.
Zac Efron is reportedly among the favourites to replace Maguire in Spid= er-Man 4.
The film will start before the superhero’s alter-ego, Peter Parker, bec= omes Spider-Man.
