VOIGHT BLASTS JOLIE/PITT SPLIT RUMOURS

ANGELINA JOLIE’s estranged father JON VOIGHT has shot down rumours the ac= tress has split from BRAD PITT, dismissing the tabloid gossip as "nonsens= e".
Gossip about the status of the Hollywood supercouple’s romance reached = fever pitch last week (ends22Jan10), with reports claiming the stars - wh= o share six children - were set to part ways.
But Voight, who has had a rocky relationship with his famous daughter, = insists Jolie and Pitt are still going strong after five years of dating,= reports Hollyscoop.com.
When asked about the split rumours, he says, "Nonsense. It’s all made u= p stuff." Jolie and Pitt met on the set of their film Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005, whi= le the actor was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
The Friends star filed for divorce in March 2005 and the couple embarke= d on a relationship shortly afterwards.
The stars have three adopted children together - Maddox, eight; Pax, si= x, and Zahara, five - as well as biological kids Shiloh, three, and twins= Knox and Vivienne, 18 months.

MIRREN DELIGHTED OVER MCAVOY AND DUFF’S BABY NEWS

DAME HELEN MIRREN is convinced expectant parents JAMES MCAVOY and ANNE-MA= RIE DUFF will have a musical baby - because both stars have "beautiful si= nging voices".
The couple announced on Tuesday (26Jan10) they’re set to welcome their = first child - and their Last Station co-star Mirren can’t wait to see the= couple become parents.
Speaking about the pregnancy at the drama’s London premiere on Tuesday,= Mirren said, "It’s great. James is a new friend, Anne-Marie is an old fr= iend. I did a play with Anne-Marie quite a few years ago and understood r= ight there and then what a great actress she is.
"I met James just on this film and quietly fell in love with him, so it= couldn’t be better. You just can’t believe how happy they are together. = They are so grounded.

BLIGE AND BOCELLI DUET FOR HAITI

MARY J. BLIGE is teaming up with opera star ANDREA BOCELLI for a duet at = Sunday’s (31Jan10) Grammy Awards to raise money for the Haiti relief effo= rt.
The odd pair will cover Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Wate= r during a special fundraising segment at the music industry’s biggest ev= ent of the year.
Blige and Bocelli’s version of the song will then be made available for= download on iTunes.com/Target, and all proceeds will be donated to the A= merican Red Cross to help those left devastated by the 12 January (10) ea= rthquake.

DOHERTY FINED FOR HEROIN POSSESSION

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has been ordered to pay a fine after he was = caught carrying heroin into a U.K. court in December (09).
The Babyshambles frontman landed himself in trouble after he was friske= d by guards on his way into Gloucester Crown Court for sentencing over a = series of driving offences.
Security staff saw a small packet fall out of his coat and the star was= arrested in the corridor on his way out.
His lawyer argued at Gloucester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (27Jan1= 0) that Doherty had forgotten the 13 wraps of heroin were in the jacket -= but the judge branded it a "stupid" move.
District Judge Joti Boparai told the star, "Either this was sheer stupi= dity or a ploy to get more publicity." He was ordered to pay $1,200 (=C2=A3750) but escaped a rehabilitation o= rder as the judge ruled public funds shouldn’t be spent on him as Doherty= is already paying for private drug treatment.

FIRE FORCES LOSTPROPHETS TO SCRAP GIG

Welsh rockers LOSTPROPHETS’ homecoming gig has been rescheduled, after th= e original venue was ravaged by fire.
The band was due to play at Afan Lido in Port Talbot on 1 March (10) as= part of their upcoming U.K. tour.
But the hall was devastated by a blaze in December (09), and won’t be r= eady for the show - so the group is now set to play at Cardiff’s Internat= ional Arena on 1 May (10) instead.
Tickets for the rescheduled show will still be valid.

KE$HA HAUNTED BY SCARY GHOST

Singer KE$HA is convinced she’s "haunted" - because she is visited by a s= cary ghost in her dreams every night.
The party-loving singer admits she’s reluctant to purchase a home and s= ettle down in case the property she picks is visited by the spirit who sp= ooks her nightly.
She says, "I’m kind of living nowhere right now, I just had my gold Tra= ns Am that’s in my (TiK ToK music) video shipped back home, so I guess th= at’s where I live now - wherever he goes, I go. I don’t have a house, but= I’m looking for one. I just want to make sure it’s not haunted. I’m not = just saying this to try to sound crazy, like, ‘Oh, I’m such a crazy pop s= tar, I’m haunted,’ but actually, almost every night I have some psycho dr= eam of the same ghost, either in my face, strangling me, smacking me, sho= ving me, or just hanging out. Sometimes he’s just there, scaring me, bein= g an a**hole." But the 22 year old admits she’s always been fascinated by the supernat= ural: "I recently drove across the country, staying only in haunted hotel= s, and I stayed in a haunted whorehouse in San Antonio, and that was the = first time I actually got haunted on (sic). One of the reasons I moved ou= t of my house in the Canyon was I knew it was haunted. I was right next d= oor to the Jim Morrison house, and I was kind of drawn to the energy ther= e."

BOYLE ‘SHY’ AROUND STEWART DURING HAITI RECORDING

Scottish singing sensation SUSAN BOYLE battled severe nerves when she rec= orded her contribution to SIMON COWELL’s Haiti charity single - after mee= ting her idol ROD STEWART.
Boyle headed into the studio on Tuesday (26Jan10) to lay down her vocal= for a cover of R.E.M.’s Everybody Hurts, which the American Idol judge o= rganised to raise money for the aid appeal for earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

She says, "There’s devastation, which is awful to look at, but you can’= t sit back and do nothing. I’m glad that Simon gave me the opportunity to= be involved in this wonderful cause." LYNGSTAD’S REGRETS OVER ABBA MANIA

ANNI-FRID LYNGSTAD once harboured regrets about singing in ABBA - because= she was so overwhelmed by the band’s worldwide popularity.
The Swedish singers shot to the top of the charts with their catchy tra= cks in the 1970s, and have continued to sell millions of records across t= he globe even after their heyday.
And Lyngstad admits she has previously felt desperate to swap her legac= y with the Dancing Queen hitmakers for a normal life.
She says, "I think it was the right moment for us to split, actually, b= ecause we’d been two couples who had been together for 12 or 13 years and= everyone wanted to do something else. And I had my moments (of regrettin= g ABBA), I must honestly say.
"But it’s better to have a positive attitude because there’s no way you= can escape ABBA. There’s no point in regretting anything because that wa= s the time when we were excited about dancing and dressing like that!" And her bandmate Bjorn Ulvaeus is also surprised they still have fans, = adding: "I thought we’d be forgotten in a couple of years after we split = up!"

LAWYER: ‘GOVERNMENT ENTRAPPED BANTON’

The lawyer for BUJU BANTON filed papers on Tuesday (26Jan10) claiming the= U.S. government entrapped the reggae star in a drug deal.
The singer pleaded not guilty earlier this month (Jan10) to a charge of= conspiring to buy more than five kilograms of cocaine from an undercover= law enforcement officer in Sarasota, Florida last month (Dec09).
Banton, real name Mark Myrie, maintains his innocence and is currently = being held in federal custody in Tampa, Florida.
And his lawyer, David Markus, claims in official documents that the gov= ernment used a paid informant to convince Banton to buy the cocaine.
To prove the allegation, Markus will have to show that the government i= nduced Banton.
The star’s trial is expected to begin in March (10).

PIPER ‘GRATEFUL’ SHE WAS BEDBOUND WITH NEW BABY

British actress BILLIE PIPER was bedbound following the birth of her son = by emergency Caesarean - and she’s sure the time helped her bond with lit= tle WINSTON.
The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl star and her husband Laurence Fox welco= med the tot in October 2008.
The actor was working during Winston’s first few weeks, leaving Piper a= lone at their home in the English countryside to bring up the baby.
And although the 27 year old was still in pain from the traumatic birth= , she’s grateful for the time she had alone with her newborn son.
She says, "(I was) feeling a bit desperate. Laurence was filming when I= first had Winston. I’d had an emergency Caesarean and I could barely wal= k. I was alone in the country with a newborn baby for three weeks.
"I’m actually grateful for that time now. It forced me to be in bed wit= h my child. And really that was the only time that I was still, with baby= , without distractions or confusion. It was just the two of us. You sleep= when they sleep and feed when they feed."

WILLIAMS: ‘BLUE VALENTINE TOO RACY FOR MATILDA’

MICHELLE WILLIAMS snubbed a screening of her movie BLUE VALENTINE at the = Sundance Film Festival - because her daughter MATILDA is too young to wat= ch her steamy sex scenes.
The actress shares several intimate moments with Ryan Gosling in the up= coming drama, which she has been busy promoting at the film event in Utah= ..
But when it came time to sit down and watch the film, Williams kept out= of the cinema for the sake of Matilda, her four-year-old daughter with t= he late Heath Ledger.
She tells MTV.com, "When the movie screened the other day, me and the k= id, neither of us were old enough to watch that movie. So we coloured in = Tinker Bell pictures for two hours and played pirate games." Gosling admits he was also nervous at the Sundance screening - because = he brought his mum along as his date.
He adds, "It’s a racy movie, so it’s hard to watch those scenes with so= many people. I watched it with my mother, she was beside me. I gave her = an iPod. And when the naughty scenes came on, I pressed ‘play’ and covere= d her eyes."

DILLON HATES WATCHING HIS EARLY MOVIES

MATT DILLON finds it strange watching his breakthrough performance in 198= 3 movie THE OUTSIDERS, because he was barely even an adult when he filmed= the scenes.
Dillon was 18 when he shot his part as a young troublemaker in the film= , which also launched the careers of Tom Cruise and Patrick Swayze.
And the 45 year old struggles to comprehend he ever starred in the movi= e, as it seems a lifetime ago.
He tells Total Film magazine, "It’s actually very weird for me to see t= hose films now. And the further I get away from them the stranger it is b= ecause I was a f**king kid, man, a little kid.
"Although in my mind at the time I wasn’t. When I made The Outsiders, I= think I had just turned 18. C. Thomas Howell and I were the youngest guy= s on that movie." But Dillon is grateful he was cast in the film, as it gave him the oppo= rtunity to work with some of Hollywood’s greats.
He adds, "Just working with Francis (Ford Coppola). When I found out I = got the job, it was one of the greatest days of my life. Francis was a re= al legend."

COPPERFIELD REP’S DELIGHT AT ARREST

DAVID COPPERFIELD’s lawyer is glad the woman who accused the star of rape= has been arrested for extortion - because it proves his innocence.
Lacey Carroll falsely alleged Copperfield assaulted her on his private = island in the Bahamas in 2007, but officials dropped their investigation = earlier this month (Jan10) amid questions over her credibility.
The case took another twist this week (begs25Jan10) when it emerged Car= roll has been charged with prostitution and making a false rape claim aga= inst a Seattle businessman.
And Copperfield’s reps are adamant the development proves the famed ill= usionist’s claim that Carroll was trying to extort cash from him.
In a statement, Copperfield’s attorney Patty Eakes says, "Last week fed= eral prosecutors dropped their criminal investigation of David Copperfiel= d, and, this week, local authorities have charged Mr. Copperfield’s accus= er with making yet another false claim of rape, this time against a Seattle-area businessman, and with prostitution. These d= evelopments vindicate Mr. Copperfield and confirm what he has said all al= ong - this woman tried to extort money from him by making a false claim.
"Thankfully, authorities have now stepped in to stop her."

RITCHIE PULLS OUT OF LOBO FOR SECOND SHERLOCK

GUY RITCHIE has pulled out of directing alien action movie LOBO to concen= trate on a SHERLOCK HOLMES sequel, according to the detective film’s prod= ucer.
The Brit was set to start work on the live-action adaptation of the DC = Comics bounty hunter saga after the super-sleuth picture had wrapped last= year (09).
But following the success of the detective movie, starring Robert Downe= y Jr. and Jude Law, Ritchie has bowed out of Lobo to focus on a second Sh= erlock Holmes, according to producer Joel Silver.
He tells the Los Angeles Times, "I don’t think he’s going to do it (Lob= o) now. The studio wants us and Guy to focus on making another Sherlock H= olmes. So I think we’re going to be doing that. But we’re seeing what hap= pens with this. Everybody is analyzing everything. It’s all kind of happe= ning right now as we talk.
"Sherlock is sitting at just about $400 million in worldwide gross and = showing itself to be pretty effective and pretty strong. So we’re trying = to see if we can do something quickly with another Sherlock Holmes movie.= We have some ideas and some good story points.
"Downey loves the experience of playing Sherlock and would love to play= him again, and I’d love to see him play it again. Jude and all of them w= ill be back and it will be great."

WINEHOUSE ‘PLANNING TO COVER UP BLAKE TATTOO’

AMY WINEHOUSE is reportedly planning to cover up a tattoo bearing her ex-= husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL’s name, just a week after their alleged reuni= on was rocked by reports of infidelity.
The pair divorced in July (09) on the grounds of the Back to Black hitm= aker’s adultery, but reconciled in September (09) and were reportedly set= to remarry in the Caribbean next month (Feb10).
However, two U.K. reports this month (Jan10) alleged Fielder-Civil has = been unfaithful to the singer - and now Winehouse is planning to have a t= attoo of ‘Blake’ on her chest covered up for good.
Tattoo artist Henry Hate reveals the singer has been enquiring about a = new design to cover up the old ink work.
He tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, "I didn’t ask her what her reason= s were. I imagined she wanted to move on. She was just like, ‘It needs to= go.’ She wanted it covered." Fielder-Civil has denied cheating on Winehouse and is consulting lawyer= s over the reports.

A representative has brushed off speculation JESSICA ALBA is disgusted by= her violent new movie THE KILLER INSIDE ME, after the actress was spotte= d walking out of its screening.

STONE: ‘DALTREY MADE ME ENJOY MUSIC AGAIN’

Soul singer JOSS STONE has ROGER DALTREY to thank for her renewed outlook= on life - THE WHO rocker made her realise how unimportant money is compa= red to the thrill of performing.
The You Had Me hitmaker shot to fame as a teenager with the release of = her debut album The Soul Sessions in 2003 and extensively toured the U.K.

"I was talking to Roger Daltrey the other day and he told me he felt so= sorry for my generation of musicians. He said, ‘When I was your age, all= we did was get on stage and sing.
