QUAIDS FACE RESTRAINING ORDER
RANDY and EVI QUAID are facing a restraining order from a private investi= gator who previously worked for the couple.
Hollywood private eye Becky Altringer was hired by Evi last June (09) b= efore the relationship soured and she stopped working for the pair.
Altringer alleges the Quaids have become threatening towards her, and r= equested a restraining order against them at Los Angeles Superior Court o= n Wednesday (27Jan10).
Altringer tells RadarOnline.com, "Randy and Evi are bullies and crimina= ls. They get away with s**t because Randy is Randy Quaid. I’ve been in th= is business for over 15 years and I have never seen the s**t I have seen = with the Quaids. I can’t find justice in our judicial system so filing th= e restraining order has been the only justice I am getting…
"Randy is a well-known famous person and people are scared, or don’t wa= nt to cross him. I’m a nobody compared to him and I feel I have to take m= y story to the masses to be heard. I feel that I can’t let them get away = with bullying, threatening and intimidating people just because of who th= ey are. I have to fight back in any way I can." The private investigator alleges the Quaids made harassing calls to her= on Monday (25Jan10).
She claims that in one voicemail, Randy shouted obscenities at her, bef= ore Evi accused Altringer of stealing from and stalking the couple.
Altringer wants a judge to order the Quaids to stay away from her and h= as requested they be banned from making contact via telephone, email, pos= t or in person.
Altringer previously tried to get a protection order against Evi, but a= judge denied the request due to insufficient evidence to prove she posed= imminent danger.
A new hearing has been set for 19 February (10).
