BLIGE AND BOCELLI DUET FOR HAITI
MARY J. BLIGE is teaming up with opera star ANDREA BOCELLI for a duet at = Sunday’s (31Jan10) Grammy Awards to raise money for the Haiti relief effo= rt.
The odd pair will cover Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Wate= r during a special fundraising segment at the music industry’s biggest ev= ent of the year.
Blige and Bocelli’s version of the song will then be made available for= download on iTunes.com/Target, and all proceeds will be donated to the A= merican Red Cross to help those left devastated by the 12 January (10) ea= rthquake.
The 2010 Grammy Awards will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center a= nd feature performances by artists including Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Taylo= r Swift.
