TANKIAN RULES OUT SYSTEM OF A DOWN REUNION
Rocker SERJ TANKIAN has ruled out a full SYSTEM OF A DOWN reunion, insist= ing the group remains on an indefinite hiatus - despite reports to the co= ntrary.
Bass player Shavo Odadjian gave fans reasons for hope in a series of re= cent Internet notes, but Tankian insists the band is no nearer a comeback= ..
He tells Billboard.com, "We always have offers to play, from festivals = and stuff, but we have not decided to do anything as of yet.
"We’re in touch. We talk. We call it an indefinite hiatus, and that’s h= ow we still look at it. Nothing’s really changed." The group members went their separate ways in 2006 - Tankian and Odadji= an went solo, while guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan fo= rmed Scars on Broadway.
