STAR TREK actor SIMON PEGG has lent his support to pupils at his old scho= ol - offering them advice on bullying.
The British funnyman was contacted by a group of students at his former= high school in Gloucester, England and asked to join their anti-bullying= campaign.
Pegg sent a letter of support to Brockworth Enterprise School, revealin= g his own traumatic experiences with bullies and urging teachers to do mo= re to stop students suffering at school.
He writes, "I think most people experience bullying at some point. It i= sn’t just stealing lunch money. It can be mental or physical. It means us= ing strength or power to intimidate someone weaker or in a weaker positio= n than you. It’s important to send the message out to those who bully and= intimidate that their actions are unacceptable. I have complete disappro= val towards bullying, but also, to some degree, pity. Bullies are weak an= d pathetic. If you don=E2=80=99t (tell someone) it will simply continue. = Be strong. You are not being a snitch, you are protecting yourself and ot= hers. If you’re not sure who to speak to at school, speak to a parent or = even a friend. The important thing is not to suffer in silence.=E2=80=9D =
