BAIO CALLS IN FBI OVER ONLINE ‘THREATS’
Former HAPPY DAYS star SCOTT BAIO has called in the Federal Bureau of Inv= estigation (FBI) after he allegedly received a series of online threats.
The actor came under fire after he posted an unflattering picture of Am= erica’s First Lady Michelle Obama on his Twitter.com page, along with a c= aption which read, "Wow. He (U.S. President Barack Obama) wakes up to thi= s every morning." The post attracted a slew of negative comments from his followers, and = Baio replied insisting his message was taken the wrong way.
He wrote, "People need to relax and laugh a bit. Life is too short no m= atter what party you are with. A joke is just that, a joke." But the star insists the reaction to his gag continued to escalate, and= he alleges some of the messages he received became threatening.
He later informed followers of his Twitter.com blog that he had contact= ed authorities over the nasty posts: "PLEASE NOTE: The FBI has been conta= cted & we have a file number for the threats, along with Twitter support.= Thx (thanks)."
