The Internet is killing JAMIE FOXX’s stand-up comedy career - because every time he pokes fun at a fellow celebrity, it appears online.
The funnyman-turned-R&B singer admits he’s constantly having to send "gift baskets" to stars after comments he makes about them during comedy routines in clubs are written as straight remarks on blogs, tweets and websites.
He says, "I’ve read things about me on the Internet and I’m like, ‘What?’ Now all of a sudden a certain amount of people believe that’s what you are.
"If I’m in this club doing jokes designed for the club and somebody tweets it and it says, ‘He says that so and so is an a**hole,’ the people that are reading that aren’t in the club, so it’s a tough thing to protect your art and still be out there." Foxx has started using his weekly satellite radio show, Foxxhole on Sirius, as a place where he can explain jokes that become remarks online: "We have to explain a joke or send a gift basket. It gets to the point where you just want to kick everybody in the balls with some steel-toed boots and say, ‘It’s comedy!’ Is it getting to the point where I have to apologise for jokes." The Ray star recently got into trouble with the Cyrus family after suggesting 16-year-old pop star Miley should "make a sex tape… do some heroin… and become a lesbian" as part of a joke on his radio show. Foxx has since apologised for the crude joke.

Filmmaker BRETT RATNER is releasing never-before-seen footage of MICKEY ROURKE that has been dubbed "the real WRESTLER".
When Rourke quit acting to pursue a boxing career in 1991, pal Ratner followed him with a camera, shooting hours of footage of the star sparring in the ring.
Nearly two decades later, Ratner is preparing to release the film as part of his Shooter Series - a collection of short films he has made throughout his career.
He tells StarPulse.com, "Even before I was born Mickey Rourke used to sleep over at my house, in my garage - he was best friends with my uncle and my mom. I grew up knowing him but then I lost track." When Ratner enrolled at New York University’s film school, he got back in touch with the star: "I was like, ‘Mickey, I can’t wait, I’m going to be a director and you’re going to be in all my films.’ And he’s like, ‘No, man, I’m quitting.’ I said, ‘What are you talking about?" He’s like, ‘I’m going to be a boxer.’ I’m like, ‘Are you out of your f**king mind? You’re, like, the best actor in the world.’ "I said, ‘I’m going to follow you becoming a boxer.’ I wanted any excuse to film anything anyway. I literally spent months in Miami filming him. I put it in a garage, I hadn’t seen it in 20 years." Ratner was reminded of his film when he watched Rourke’s Oscar-nominated turn in The Wrestler, so he dug out the footage and showed it to the actor.
The moviemaker recalls, "He saw it and was like, ‘Holy shit. This is the real Wrestler.’"

MIKE TYSON’s boxing career began after he snapped when bullies ripped his pet pigeons apart before his eyes.
The fighter-turned-TV and film personality reveals all about the terrible childhood encounter with local thugs in new documentary Tyson, and he recalled the incident during an appearance on U.S. TV show Oprah on Monday (12Oct09).
Tyson revealed he once kept racing pigeons and dedicated his life to training them, but when local bullies paid him a rooftop visit - he discovered he had another sport inside him.
He said, "One guy took the bird and he just ripped open the neck and puts the bird in my face… and I was mad. I said, ‘Mike, fight,’ and I just fought… There were incidents (after that) but I got confident to fight back." Tyson became one of the most brutal boxers of all time, biting off the top of opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear and serving time behind bars for assault and alleged rape.

Scottish movie star GERARD BUTLER has taken aim at rude paparazzi for wrecking film shoots - because they don’t care if they’re blocking shots or forcing film crews to work overtime on reshoots and retakes.
The actor thought he was used to the coverage location shoots get from snappers until he teamed up with Jennifer Aniston in The Bounty - when filming was almost impossible at points.
He tells WENN, "Unfortunately for poor Jennifer, this roadshow comes out all the time, and then of course there were all the rumours about her and I dating, just because we’re doing a movie together, which brought out even more paparazzi.
"They’ll take 10,000 photographs in one day and wait for that moment where you hug or look at each other in a certain way. Or more individually, there’ll be photos where you scratch your nose and there’s the suggestion of nose picking. You don’t realise it and then suddenly you make that one move and they got you.
"A lot of the paparazzi are really good people but some of them are a nightmare. They go out of their way to disrupt filming and it’s really sad because you’re there with a crew of 200 just trying to make a living. You’re there for 16 hours a day and you have these guys who don’t care if they’re standing in your shot.
"If you go over and you speak to them, they’re like, ‘Don’t f**king touch me!’ So you’ve just got to sit there and wait. Or they’ll flash, so the film you just shot is useless. It’s unbelievable sometimes what they do and you’re thinking, ‘This is allowed?’ That can be very frustrating."

The father of the Ukrainian boy SIR ELTON JOHN dreamed of adopting wants the singer to take the tot to Britain - so he can come along too.
John and his partner David Furnish wanted to take 15-month-old Lev back to England after meeting him during a visit to an orphanage in Makeeva, Ukraine last month (Sep09).
The country has a ban on gay couples fostering children so the couple was forced to give up on their dream of parenting Lev.
His alcoholic mother Marina revealed she wanted the tot back in her care - but his father Sergey also wants to play a part in Lev’s life.
Sergey has pleaded with John and Furnish to look after the youngster - and to help him escape his impoverished lifestyle.
Sergey says, "I’m not against the idea of Elton becoming a guardian. I would be willing to meet Elton and talk about it.
"I don’t mind my boy going to Britain to be with Elton - as long as I can go too, so I can take care of him.
"I know Elton is a rich man. Maybe he could help Marina and me and the boys get a flat so we could be a family again. That would be ideal. And if Elton could buy me a shoe shop, that would be great."

Rocker ARNEL PINEDA has created a foundation in his native Philippines to help homeless kids.
The Journey frontman was a homeless Manila teen when his mother died and now he’s trying to help others escape poverty after luck shone a light on him.
Pineda was discovered on Internet site YouTube.com by Journey guitarist Neal Schon when he was looking for a new singer to front the Don’t Stop Believin’ hitmakers, and he has gone from desperate Filipino to rock star - and now he’s using his fortune to help others.
He says, "I put up a foundation, called AP Foundation, to try to help all these under-privileged kids in the Philippines." He has also bought a home for himself and his family.
Pineda recently returned home for a sold-out Journey concert.
Appearing on TV show Oprah on Monday (05Oct09), he said he felt "heavy pressure" at the show.
The DVD of the concert, Journey in Manila, was released on Monday.

But the pop star reveals marriage was not on Smith’s mind - he was searching for a new watch.
Minogue says, "He was spotted in a jewellers and everyone got excited. He called me and said, rather sheepishly, ‘I’m sorry babe. I was actually looking at a watch.’ I just laughed my head off.
"It’s not true that we’re getting engaged but what is true is that we’ve each found our partner for life and we’re working out our future together."

NATALIE PORTMAN’s musician ex DEVENDRA BANHART has teamed up with rapper GZA to record a new version of his single BABY.
The folk singer reveals he was introduced to GZA by the hip-hop star’s Wu-Tang Clan bandmate RZA, and the pair got along so well, they decided to hit the studio together.
He tells Paste magazine, "We hung out and talked… Then I sent him my catalogue. And he said, ‘Hey man, will you write some stuff? Let’s write together.’" The result is a remix of Banhart’s song Baby, but the rocker admits their collaboration could lead to a full album of duets.
He adds, "Who knows? Well, yes. I think it could."

Rapper JIM JONES has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour assault charge stemming from his brawl with members of R&B hitmaker NE-YO’s entourage.
The Diplomats frontman entered the plea in Manhattan Criminal Court, New York on Monday (05Oct09) in connection with a fight that broke out in the Louis Vuitton store in the Big Apple on Christmas Eve last year (Dec08).
He entered a not guilty plea in February (09) in relation to the attack on Ne-Yo’s manager Jayvon Smith but admitted his guilt during the hearing on Monday.
The rapper was sentenced to time served, which he completed shortly after the arrest in January (09).
Jones pleaded guilty in order to avoid prolonged probation, which could have interfered with his ability to tour, according to his lawyer Scott Leemon.

Former SEINFELD star JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS had a hairy encounter with a killer spider during a recent adventure break in Peru.
The actress and her husband, Brad Hall, decided to check out the ruins of Machu Picchu and rough it in a rainforest as part of a recent wedding anniversary treat - but the South American getaway almost ended in disaster.
Louis-Dreyfus explains, "It was our last night there and I was on edge anyway because there are deadly snakes there and things that can crawl up your urethra and grow in your body…. We were going back to our room… and my husband and I were walking… and I felt something on my leg… We go to our room and we go into the bathroom… and I look over and there’s a tarantula… on Brad. It was like one of those Halloween things you’d put on your door - that big.
"I screamed, ‘There’s a tarantula on your back!’, and he ripped his shirt off so fast and so strongly that it ripped in two; he was like The Hulk. The tarantula fell onto the floor and I was screaming… It scared the living c**p outta me.
"The tour guide came in… and said, ‘It’s a pink-toed male tarantula, and you are so lucky that didn’t bite you…’ I didn’t ask too many questions because I had to go to sleep that night."

Veteran actress LIZ SMITH has slammed the British health system, branding it "hellish" and "disgraceful".
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star suffered a stroke earlier this year (09) and spent months under doctors’ care in hospital.
Smith claims the constant activity in her ward made it harder for her to recover.
She says, "Apart from when my daughter was born more than 50 years ago, I’ve never been in hospital. It was hellish. Other patients and nurses were noisy, demanding attention at all hours of the night. After the stroke I was in a ward of four and, at first, I was completely helpless - I couldn’t move or even lift a glass of water.
"At the beginning, an acceptance of death flashed through my mind and I thought, ‘If I go now, I’ve had a good life’, but I lingered on and gradually built up strength." And the 87 year old is equally as damning about the aftercare she has received now she is back at her London home recovering.
She adds: "For a few months, a nurse came every day to help me. I was also given a Zimmer frame (walker) and a special stool with arm rests to use in the kitchen. But in the four months I’ve been home, I haven’t had one visit from my GP (general practitioner), which I think is disgraceful." Smith also reveals she is still trying to regain full speech: "It’s maddening not to be able to fully express myself. It (my speech) is getting better, but I still get muddled."

Kevin McGee was found hanged at his Edinburgh, Scotland flat by police who broke into the property on Monday morning (05Oct09).
Just hours earlier, McGee had posted on social networking website Facebook that he thought "death is much better than life".
The funnyman divorced his former partner last year (08) on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour following their 2006 marriage ceremony.

MICHAEL JACKSON fans in China will have a chance to watch his documentary THIS IS IT after movie bosses secured the rights to show the film in the country.
The documentary, which chronicles the making of the King Of Pop’s ill-fated final shows, has earned the last of 20 slots Chinese officials allocate for imported films every year.
As a result, movie bosses in China are rushing to produce as many prints as possible to be released to the country’s 4,100 cinemas, according to Li Chow, Sony Pictures Releasing International’s general manager for China The film is set to open on 28 October (09), with audiences in cities including Los Angeles, London, New York and Berlin, Germany able to see the film at the same time.
Jackson died on 25 June (09) after suffering a cardiac arrest.

GEORGE MICHAEL has lashed out at reports he has split from his partner of 13 years, KENNY GOSS - insisting the pair is still very much an item.
The former Wham! singer had reportedly broken up with Goss back in December (08), after the art gallery owner grew tired of Michael’s run-ins with police for drug use and promiscuous behaviour.
According to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, Goss finally walked away from the relationship weeks after the singer was arrested in a men’s toilet block on London’s Hampstead Heath - a popular gay cruising ground.
But the Faith hitmaker has refuted the rumours - and claims the pair is only currently apart because Goss is preparing an exhibition in Dallas, Texas.
A rep for the star says, "There is no truth in the matter at all. Kenny has been away in Dallas where he owns a gallery but is scheduled to return home this Friday. They are planning a lovely weekend together."
