SKI RESORT WHERE RICHARDSON FELL SETS HELMET RULE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:21 pm

The Canadian ski resort where NATASHA RICHARDSON fell and suffered a fatal head injury has set new helmet rules - six months after the actress’ tragic death.
The 45-year-old actress wife of Liam Neeson passed away in March (09) after she was removed from life support, following a skiing accident on the slopes of Mont Tremblant in Montreal.
Bosses at Vancouver-based company Intrawest, who run the resort, will recommend all skiers and snowboarders wear helmets when its ski season begins in few weeks.
Helmets will be mandatory for children and teens enrolled in ski and snowboard programs, and for students of all ages taking part in freestyle terrain programs.
The rules would not have applied to Richardson, who was not wearing headgear during a private ski lesson at the time of her fall.

BAY BUMPS UP TRANSFORMERS 3 DATE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:21 pm

Filmmaker MICHAEL BAY has bumped up the release of the second TRANSFORMERS sequel - it will hit movie theatres in 2011, a year earlier than planned.
Bay has announced that a script for Transformers 3 is complete and Megan Fox, Shia LaBeouf and their robot pals will be returning to the big screen sooner than fans had anticipated.
In a post on his website, which features a countdown to the new release date, the director writes, "Well it’s official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012.
"Today is Day One. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters." Bay’s post includes a cheeky swipe at Fox, who he clashed with over his filmmaking methods while shooting the last installment.
He adds, "P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture.
"Please consult your physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep.
"As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your doctor to determine if this is right for you." Both Bay and Fox will be hoping filming on Transformers 3 will be a lot less dramatic than the other two blockbusters - after the actress called her director "hopelessly awkward" during a 2009 interview, the crew of Transformers 2 lashed out at Fox in a collective message.
They wrote that the actress was "about as ungracious a person as you can ever fathom," adding, "She shows little interest in the crew members around her. We work to make her look good in every way, but she’s absolutely never appreciative of anyone’s hard work."

DEL TORO FIGHTS MONKEY FARM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:21 pm

Oscar winner BENICIO DEL TORO has written to Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuno urging him to halt the construction of a massive monkey-breeding facility in Guayama.
The Traffic star has discovered the facility will be run by Bioculture, a company that supplies primates to laboratories.
According to investigations carried out by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the company plans to capture monkeys from their homes in Mauritius, hold them captive in Puerto Rico, and sell thousands of their babies for use in painful and deadly experiments.
Angry Del Toro writes, "I am disappointed to learn from my friends at PETA that a company called Bioculture is proposing to build a large monkey facility in Guayama… Won’t you please use your influence as governor and stop this from happening on our beautiful island? "Most Puerto Ricans are strongly opposed to Bioculture’s plans. Please don’t allow Puerto Rico to be associated with a facility that profits from extreme animal abuse." PETA bosses have already staged a major protest against Bioculture in Guayama, which included the town’s mayor, Glorimari Jaime.

The Queen of Pop is regularly referred to as ‘Madge’ in the U.K. - but she hates the name, even though it’s mainly used as a term of endearment.
She tells U.S. talk show host David Letterman, "That’s one of the reasons I left England, so I didn’t have to hear that word anymore.
"Some people say Madge is a colloquialism for kinda like a boring, middle aged housewife and some people say it’s short for ‘Majesty’. I think it can be quite respectable." Madonna’s divorce from director Ritchie was finalised in 2008 and she has since relocated to the Big Apple, where she first rose to fame.

WALSH’S TORMENT OVER ‘FLAT-CHESTED’ COMMENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:18 pm

KATE WALSH learned how to fight body criticism in Hollywood at a young age - by beating up school bullies who teased the actress about her small chest.
The Grey’s Anatomy beauty was tormented by her classmates for not developing like other curvy girls her age.
Walsh didn’t stand for the teasing - and fought her bullies until they stopped making fun of her.
She says, "I had problems. I would sometimes get in fights. I would beat up boys. There was a phase (when) they used to call me ‘flat chest’. It used to be a thing: ‘Katie Walsh is flat-chested!’ And I (told bullies), ‘You’re on my list.’" But Walsh insists her mean streak has died down.
She laughs, "That’s one of the most embarrassing stories of my life… I have a problem with man-violence."

NEW FINDS IN AUTOPSY REPORT REVEAL JACKSON WAS ‘HEALTHY’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:18 pm

MICHAEL JACKSON was "fairly healthy" and did not suffer from any serious pre-existing conditions that would have increased his risk of a drug overdose, according to new autopsy report findings.
The King of Pop passed away on 25 June (09) after suffering a cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles County Coroner ruled in August (09) the star was killed by a cocktail of strong prescription drugs.
Investigators claim Jackson died when an injection of powerful anaesthetic Propofol was mixed with another sedative.
Jackson’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray is currently being investigated by police over allegations he administered the fatal dose to help the star sleep the night before he died.
A newly-obtained copy of the coroner’s report from the Associated Press shows Jackson was 136 pounds, a healthy weight for a five foot nine inch man, when he died. The coroner also found Jackson had a strong heart and was actively producing sperm.
Jackson reportedly suffered minor conditions including arthritis in the lower spine and some fingers and mild plaque buildup in his leg arteries.
He also suffered from chronically inflamed lungs. However, the condition is not noted as a potential contributing cause of death. His arms were reportedly covered with punctures and his face and neck scarred, according to the document.
The coroner found depigmentation of his skin around his chest, abdomen, face and arms, in addition to several cosmetic tattoos on both eyebrows, under his eyes, at his frontal hairline, and a pink tattoo around his lips.
The full autopsy report has not been released to the public.

CIBRIAN’S WIFE: ‘EDDIE’S ONLY AFTER RIMES’ MONEY’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:09 pm

EDDIE CIBRIAN’s estranged wife has issued a stern warning to his new lover LEANN RIMES - declaring the actor is only interested in the singer’s money.
Cibrian, who played Rimes’ lover on TV movie Northern Lights, left his wife of eight years, Brandi Glanville, in August (09), while the Blue hitmaker ended her marriage to dancer Dean Sheremet to embark on a real-life romance her onscreen beau.
Glanville has previously blasted the stars’ relationship, insisting, "Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other." But she’s now warning Rimes, who is worth an estimated $35 million (£23.3 million), against planning a future with Cibrian - she’s convinced he’s only with her because she’s rich.
Glanville tells the National Enquirer, "Now that the excitement of the cheating is over, what else could there be? It’s the bank account.
"I know she’s spending money on expensive gifts like jewellery and vacations on him. He might be pretty on the outside, but he’s toxic on the inside. He’s a shallow, shallow man." Her comments aren’t the only words of warning Rimes has received - another of Cibrian’s exes, model Scheana Marie Jancan, alleged the actor had been cheating with her while he was involved with both his Glanville and Rimes.
She said: "Eddie’s with LeAnn now, but it’s just a fling. Eddie cheated on Brandi. He cheated on me. He’s going to do it to LeAnn." Cibrian has two sons with Glanville.

MADONNA WASN’T ALLOWED TO RIDE HORSES DURING TOUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:54 pm

MADONNA was banned from horseriding while on tour after injuring herself in an accident in April (09).
The pop superstar suffered minor injuries and bruising to her lower back earlier this year (09) after she was thrown off a horse in the Hamptons, New York when the animal was startled by lurking paparazzi.
Madonna has since fully recovered from the incident, which took place during a break in her Sticky & Sweet tour, but admits she has not climbed back onto a horse since - because the singer’s work insurance policy bans her from pursuing her favourite hobby while she’s on the road.
She tells U.S. talk show host David Letterman, "(I haven’t been on a horse) since my last accident in the Hamptons. I fractured my spinus erectus (bones in lower back).
"My insurance company wouldn’t allow me to ride while I was on tour." The singer admits horseback riding can be a dangerous sport but insists it gives her a whole new perspective on Mother Earth.
She says, "You’re flirting with danger when you ride a horse. (But) you see the world of nature in a different way." Madonna, who wrapped her mammoth world tour in Israel last month (Sep09), was left with three broken ribs, a broken hand and a collarbone after another horseriding accident in 2005.
