KATONA ESCAPES ASSAULT CHARGES
British reality TV star KERRY KATONA has been cleared of claims she assaulted her accountant - police are not pressing charges against her.
The 29 year old was taken in for questioning by U.K. cops in August (09) following accusations of assault and criminal damage against David McHugh.
The allegations came just days after she was cautioned by police for possessing drugs following British tabloid the News of the World’s publication of snaps of her snorting cocaine.
Police officials have now confirmed no charges will be brought against Katona in relation to the incident.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police says, "Following an investigation by Cheshire Constabulary and advice from the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to an allegation of assault that occurred in Warrington on 26 August, no further action will be taken in respect of the 29-year-old female who was arrested in relation to the incident."
