U.S. talk show host CONAN O’BRIEN returned to THE TONIGHT SHOW on Monday (28Sep09) and shook off his ill-fated stunt by joking about his injury.
O’Brien was filming a stunt sequence with Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher on Friday (25Sep09) when he banged his head and suffered mild concussion.
He was treated in hospital and didn’t suffer any lasting injuries, but NBC network’s refusal to reveal the star’s condition heightened media interest in the incident.
And the presenter insists he found the furore so amusing, he’s planning on injuring himself again.
He joked, "As many of you may know, on this past Friday’s show I was doing a stunt and I hit my head and suffered a slight concussion. And I promise, if you’re a good audience, I’ll do it again tonight.
"So tune in tomorrow when Eva Longoria pushes me down an elevator shaft."

ROMAN POLANSKI’S star-studded movie THE GHOST has been thrown into turmoil after his arrest in Switzerland on Saturday (26Sep09).
The legendary director was taken into custody by Swiss authorities in connection to his 1977 conviction for unlawful sex with a 13 year old girl.
He is currently battling an extradition request by U.S. officials - despite calls from the victim, Samantha Geimer, to drop the case against the filmmaker.
And Polanski’s latest big screen offering - starring Pierce Brosnan, Ewan McGregor and Kim Cattrall - has been left in limbo.
Although shooting has wrapped on the movie, Polanski was mid-way through editing, sound mixing, and adding the music score before he made the trip to Switzerland.
But whatever happens to the moviemaker, his agent Jeff Berg is adamant film distributors will still be eager to snap up his work.
He says, "There is always interest in movies that Roman distributes. It should be accepted on its own merits, but we feel highly confident we’ll find proper distribution."

DAVID HASSELHOFF’s daughter has revealed her father’s recent trip to hospital, following an alleged booze binge, was a drama over nothing.
Hayley Hasselhoff claims her mother, the actor’s ex-wife Pamela Bach, called for an ambulance to cause drama.
The Baywatch creator was taken to hospital on 20 September (09), amid allegations the star was suffering from alcohol poisoning.
Hasselhoff’s wife Pamela Bach told reporters she had received a call from the pair’s daughter, Hayley, who claimed she had discovered her father in an "extremely drunk" state.
A pal of Bach’s then rang for an ambulance.
However, calls made between Hayley and a 911 dispatcher, obtained by TMZ.com, reveal the 16 year old urged the ambulance to be sent back to the hospital - insisting her mother was behind the claims.
In the call, Hayley states, "Turn around… we’re completely fine. My mom is trying to cause something… nothing happened here at all." Hasselhoff’s rep later played down the incident, blaming his latest health scare on a bad reaction to a drug he had been prescribed to treat an ear infection.
Hasselhoff divorced Bach, the mother of their two kids Hayley and Taylor-Ann, in 2006.

Classic rockers THE FACES have put a date on their reunion concert without frontman ROD STEWART - at next month’s (Oct09) Performing Right Society’s Music Members’ Benevolent Fund in London.
Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones have signed up to perform at the Royal Albert Hall on 25 October (09) alongside Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall, former Spice Girls star Mel C and Kiki Dee.
Confirming the date, Wood stated, "This will be so special for us, staging a reunion for such a wonderful and prestigious event." He failed to mention Stewart, but did pay tribute to late Faces start Ronnie Lane, adding, "Sadly Ronnie Lane can’t be with us, but I’m sure he will be there in spirit, God bless him." The Faces split in 1975 and there have been rumours of a full reunion for the past decade, but Stewart and Wood’s schedules have always wrecked plans.
Shortly after the band announced it would return without its frontman earlier this year (09), a source said, "Ronnie, Kenney and Ian have been trying their best to persuade Rod to sign up but he is focusing on his new Soul Book covers collection which is due in November.
"Rehearsals have already begun and everyone’s really positive. If it goes well, they intend to stage some more." Stewart did join his former bandmates for rehearsals last year (08), but then scuppered a full spring (09) reunion, after announcing plans for a full solo tour.

YOKO ONO and JOHN LENNON kept their celebrity status so far away from family life their son SEAN had no idea his dad was a former member of the BEATLES.
Ono has revealed she and her husband were so desperate not to force their son into music, they refused to talk about it at home - and he had to find out about his father’s superstardom on his own.
Ono explains, "I was prepared that he (Sean) might become an archaeologist or something. John didn’t even want to tell him that he was a Beatle.
"Sean found out from someone else. One day, he even asked John, ‘Were you a Beatle? "When Sean was in his twenties, I found out that he knew all of the Beatles’ songs, all of John’s songs and all my songs - every lyric."

Pop star CHERYL COLE cringes when she recalls her run-in with BEYONCE backstage of last year’s (08) THE X FACTOR finale - because she bombarded the superstar with compliments.

She tells Hello! magazine, "I am obsessed with Beyonce, I promise you. When I met her I turned into an absolute gabbling (chatting) fool; I was so embarrassed. She came to film the finale of X Factor, so I knew she was coming to sing with Alexandra Burke. I was watching rehearsals crying my eyes out because everything was coming to an end, Alexandra was incredible and then Beyonce turned up. She didn’t have a scrap of make-up on, her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, she wore a plain white t-shirt and skinny jeans with heels, and she was unguarded and encouraging.
"So by the time it got got me to meet her I had had a glass of wine, I was a mess from crying, and then I just gabbled (chatted) this whole load of rubbish: ‘You are what every woman should aspire to be, you are amazing, I love you!’ "Her mum was there and she must have thought I was a weirdo. R&B singer/songwriter KANDI BURRUSS has put her wedding plans with fiance ASHLEY JEWELL on hold as they work out a series of relationship problems.
The star appears alongside her lover Jewell on reality TV show The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but admits they have temporarily split.
She tells Essence.com, "We’re on hiatus." And Burruss is quick to insist their brief break-up is not related to the fact that he has numerous kids from previous relationships, although she admits it did come as a surprise when she found out he was a father of six.
She adds, "Yes, he has a lot of children and yes, I didn’t know about them all at first but I got over it, because, as long as you handle your responsibility and spend time with your children, it’s not an issue for me."

Filmmaker KEVIN SMITH is still in shock over a superfan who stripped down to his underwear and asked him for an autograph - so he could have the director’s signature tattooed on his bum.
The Clerks director was stunned when the devotee dashed up to him at an event and asked him to sign his arm, so he could have the scribble tattooed.
Smith’s refusal only made the fan more desperate and so the moviemaker had to sign his backside.
The director remembers, "The guy in the audience was like, ‘Will you sign my arm? I’m going to have it (your name) tattooed there.’ (I said) ‘Don’t put my name on your arm! Number one, you’re a guy and that’s just weird. They’re just movies and what if one day you wake up and you’re like, ‘I hate Clerks,’ and then you’ve got my name on your arm?’" "Then he came up and he pulled his pants down… I signed it (bum). Outside of the theatre was a tattoo parlour… the dude went in there and was like can you put that on my butt permanently?"

Filmmaking duo THE COEN BROTHERS are considering making a sequel to their 1991 movie BARTON FINK.
John Turturro played a frustrated 1940s playwright suffering writer’s block in the dark comedy, one of the brothers’ first box office hits, and now, 18 years later, the Coens admit they’ve been fantasising about catching up with the character.
Ethan Coen tells GQ magazine, "We have thoughts about doing a sequel to Barton Fink. Barton is now a middle-aged professor at Berkeley (university) with long grey sideburns and big medallions." Joel adds, "It would be called Old Fink and set in San Francisco during the Summer of Love (1967)."

OLIVIA WILDE was told her career would flop if she didn’t lie about her marital status.
The House star wed guitarist Tao Ruspoli six years ago, when she was just 19, before she’d landed her big break on TV show The O.C., and she admits casting bosses advised her to hide her relationship, so she would appear attainable to male fans.

Actress EMMY ROSSUM’s secret marriage is over - her husband has filed for divorce in Los Angeles.
The Poseidon star wed Justin Siegel in February 2008 and now the unhappy husband is seeking to end the union, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to the documents, obtained by TMZ.com, producer Siegel is asking his estranged wife pay for the cost of the divorce - and he wants spousal support.
Rossum has reportedly already moved on from married life after finding romance with Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.

San Diego, California businessman Jeff Jacobs bid $50,000 (GBP33,300) at a weekend auction, so his wife could play a part in an unnamed Damon project.
Jacob’s wife told the Las Vegas Journal-Review she planned to "attack him" when asked what she’d do upon meeting her movie hero.

AL JOURGENSEN’s heavy rockers the REVOLTING COCKS are to honour the second anniversary of KILLING JOKE star PAUL RAVEN’s death with a video montage.
The onstage tribute to Raven will take place at a show in Jacksonville, Florida on 17 October (09).
Jourgensen and Raven were close friends and they performed together in Ministry. Raven died of a heart attack, aged 46, in 2007.

DANDY WARHOLS frontman COURTNEY TAYLOR and DONOVAN LEITCH have teamed up to create a new graphic novel about a kidnapped band.
In One Model Nation, a group goes missing in the late 1970s and many suspect German terrorist group the Baader-Meinhof Gang to be at the centre of the story.
The book has been illustrated by top graphic artist Jim Rugg, and will hit stores on 28 October (09).

Singer TONY BENNETT has landed a new $10 million (GBP6.6 million) contract with Sony-Columbia, in return for full control of the 83 year old’s back catalogue and all future releases.
As part of the deal, Sony executives have promised to spend $1 million (GBP667,000) on promoting every future Bennett release.
He tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "I’ve been there for 60 years. I’ve been there longer than any other artist. And they have a full catalogue of all my albums from 1950 to now.
"They said they’d like me to do 12 more albums. With each album, they’ll promote it with $1 million. But if I don’t want to do it, they’ll still give me the $10 million. I don’t have to produce anything to fulfill the contract; it’s really the best contract ever written."
