MADONNA’S BROTHER TAKES AIM AT HER AGAIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:48 am

MADONNA’s brother CHRISTOPHER CICCONE has taken aim at the star and her toyboy lover JESUS LUZ - just weeks after the estranged siblings reportedly reconciled.
Ciccone was banished from the Holiday superstar’s inner-circle when he published his tell-all tome, Life With My Sister Madonna, in 2008 - which exposed the singer’s private life, shining a specific spotlight on her marriage to Guy Ritchie.
Madonna reportedly offered an olive branch to her brother earlier this month (Sep09), emailing the interior designer to try and repair their broken relationship for the sake of her ageing father.
But it seems as if Ciccone is still bitter about his sibling’s fame and fortune - and has launched another venomous attack about her dress sense and new-found love interest.
Referring to the star’s appearance at the recent MTV Video Music Awards, where the star paid tribute to late singer Michael Jackson, Ciccone growls to E! Online, "She looked like Rachel Zoe (fashion stylist) gone horribly wrong! "It proves the point that you can judge a person by the company they keep - or don’t keep. It’s painfully apparent that Jesus may be able to turn water into wine, but your basic blow dryer eludes him."

SUICIDE CHARITY SLAMS GAGA’S GORY MTV PERFORMANCE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:45 am

Anti-suicide advocates have slammed LADY GAGA’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (13Sep09) - blasting her for "romanticising suicide" with her gory stage performance of song PAPARAZZI.
The singer stunned the star-studded audience with her most bizarre stage act to date, dancing with crutches alongside a wheelchair-bound performer while blood poured down her bare mid-riff.
She was then surrounded by her dancers, who acted as if to mourn her death, before her lifeless and blood-spattered body was pulled up from the stage on a winch as the curtain came down on the stage.
GaGa later revealed that the quirky routine represented her private life being killed by the paparazzi, but bosses at U.K. teen suicide prevention group PAPYRUS were outraged - branding the star "irresponsible".
In a statement, a rep for the charity says, "This act is not cool - sensationalising and romanticising suicide is irresponsible.
"Celebrities, who are often idolised by young people, need to be more aware of the impact that such acts can have on vulnerable young people."

HARRELSON INSISTS ZOMBIE FILM SET IS ALL GREEN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:42 am

Eco-warrior WOODY HARRELSON turned the set of his new movie ZOMBIELAND into a green working environment, insisting he’d only work on the film if director RUBEN FLEISCHER promised to cut down on waste and save energy.
The actor suggested plastic cutlery should be banned from the set and all plates, cups and glasses be biodegradable. And water bottles were an absolute no-no.
Fleischer tells WENN, "One of the requirements for him doing the film was that we have a green set as much as possible. All the silverware was metal that could be washed and reused, as opposed to just thrown away.
"If we did use plates or cups or glasses it was all biodegradable. We didn’t use plastic. Instead of having plastic water bottles, which he sees as a huge environmental threat, we had big coolers and everybody on the set got their own jug that they could refill." Harrelson also had a series of dietary requirements: "He eats raw food and vegan items, so he had a chef making delicious things for him every day that he shared with me and the rest of the cast that was healthy and delicious.
"He practices what he preaches and made us all aware. I’m far healthier since knowing him. He’s very persuasive."

Three police officers were left injured after MARILYN MANSON fans clashed with cops trying to control crowds after the shock rocker’s gig in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Sunday (13Sep09).
The Beautiful People singer had just completed a show at the city’s MTS Centre and fans had begun to pour out onto the streets when trouble started.

A group of aggravated fans then lashed out at officers in the stand-off, with three cops requiring medical attention. Five fans were arrested.
It’s not the first time Manson’s current tour has hit the headlines - a show in California last month (Aug09) brought out members of an angry Christian group, who protested the star’s devil-worshipping image outside the show.

JUDGE DISMISSES CASH MONEY RECORDS’ COPYRIGHT CASE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:03 am

A New York judge has dismissed a lawsuit against DJ DRAMA after bosses at LIL WAYNE’s label Cash Money Records failed to establish a "valid legal claim" against the mixmaster in a copyright infringement suit.
Executives at Cash Money, owned by Wayne’s mentor Bryan ‘Baby’ Williams and his brother Ronald ‘Slim’ Williams, filed a federal lawsuit against Drama’s company Aphilliates Music Group, Makin Moves Entertainment, BCD Music Group and others, claiming they were owed damages after the companies distributed various mix projects, which feature the rapper, throughout U.S. record stores without compensating the star.
But the suit was thrown out earlier this week (begs14Sep09) after a judge found it held no legal merit.
DJ Drama insists the case won’t drive a wedge between Wayne and himself: "The accusations against me are misplaced. This is not a case of Lil Wayne vs DJ Drama.
"Me and Wayne are good. I am confident that this matter will be resolved quickly without harming the relationships between myself, Wayne and Cash Money Records."
