British singer AMELLE BERRABAH has reportedly quit the SUGABABES following a string of arguments in recent weeks - she will be replaced by Eurovision contestant JADE EWEN.
The Get Sexy trio’s future was thrown into doubt after founding member Berrabah seemingly disappeared earlier this month (Sep09), missing a string of gigs and public appearances alongside bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range.
British tabloid The Sun reported the star fled the band after constant fights with Buchanan, alleging she was bullied to the point of wanting to quit.
Now the publication reports Berrabah, who recently landed a U.K. number one with her collaboration with rapper Tinchy Stryder, has walked out on the group for good.
A source tells the paper, "Amelle has been desperately unhappy for a while. She was going to try and resolve things, but it must have got too much for her. They haven’t been able to overcome their row.
"Jade is ready to replace Amelle. She is going to be shooting a video with them in Los Angeles on Monday." It will be the fourth shift around for the group - Range was drafted in when Siobhan Donaghy quit in 2001, while founding member Mutya Buena left in 2005, making way for Berrabah.

Music legend LEONARD COHEN is recovering after he was rushed to hospital when he collapsed onstage in Valencia, Spain on Friday (18Sep09).
The Canadian singer-songwriter had to cut short his concert when he knelt down several times during the show before fainting during his song Bird on the Wire.
Cohen, who turns 75 on Monday (21Sep09), was taken to the city’s Nueve de Octubre hospital for treatment.
He was released on Saturday morning (19Sep09), and is now said to be recovering after suffering from a stomach complaint, according to a statement released by Doctor Music Concerts.
Cohen is due to perform the last show of his Spanish tour on Monday (21Sep09) in Barcelona. Trucks carrying the singer’s equipment arrived on location as scheduled and the show is being set up in preparation for the gig to go ahead, according to a spokesman from the Palau Sant Jordi concert hall.

MICKEY ROURKE’s dalliance with model LENA KULETSKAYA has ended in tears - her fiance has called off their engagement.

Hollywood veteran RANDY QUAID is facing police questioning over a hotel bill he reportedly failed to pay.
The Brokeback Mountain star stayed at the San Ysidro Ranch in California in June (09) with his wife Evi, racking up a bill of more than $10,000 (£6,667).
They are accused of leaving the resort without paying - and efforts to collect the money over the last few months have failed, according to RadarOnline.com.
A source tells the website, "Randy and Evi Quaid checked into the luxurious five star hotel, the San Ysidro Ranch on June 13, 2009. The next day the Quaids were notified by the hotel their credit card was declined. For several days the Quaids told hotel management that they were waiting for a new credit card to be sent to them, in the meantime racking up several thousand dollars worth of charges." The couple is now being investigated by cops in Santa Barbara. A police spokesperson said, "We can confirm there is an ongoing investigation underway." It’s not the first legal woe for the pair this year (09) - private investigator Becky Altringer is suing them for $19,000 (£12,667) in unpaid fees after they hired her to investigate death threats and an insurance fraud against them.

Fashion designer NICOLE FARHI has been left so terrified after she was attacked by two robbers outside her London property, she is now too frightened to go home alone.
Two men targeted the style guru outside her residence in Highgate, north London last year (08), stealing her Rolex watch, diamond ring, and money.
Farhi told London’s Wood Green Crown Court earlier this year (Jun09) she had feared for her life as one of the assailants grabbed her throat and strangled her until she lost consciousness.
The designer admits she was calm about the incident at first, but now she is traumatised by it and is frightened of being alone.
She says, "I was completely relaxed about it. And people did say to me, ‘You’ll see, Nicole, in a few months it will come back to you’. And it’s true.
"It’s really sad, that always in the back of my head there’s the idea that I cannot walk home, or take my dog for a walk at night. Otherwise I’m fine. I don’t think about it during the day, you know? But to go home by myself, I couldn’t do it." One of the men was cleared of the attack on Farhi - Matthew Mykoo, 27, denied 16 counts of robbery, but admitted two other charges.
In June (09), a jury found him guilty of five robberies but cleared him of eight other attacks - including the incident involving Farhi.
Mykoo’s brother Daniel, 28, previously admitted 19 robberies - including the Farhi raid - and two car offences.

TAYLOR SWIFT wants to put the whole KANYE WEST controversy at last weekend’s (13Sep09) MTV Video Music Awards behind her once and for all - because it’s spiralled out of control.
The You Belong With Me singer was left crushed when the rapper stormed the stage as she was accepting the prize for Best Female Video - proclaiming Beyonce was the true winner.
She has since accepted West’s apology and admits reporters’ constant questions are starting to annoy her - because she just wants to "move on" from the shocking incident.
During a radio interview in Tampa Bay, Florida on Thursday (17Sep09), Swift refused to answer presenter MJ’s repeated queries about West’s stage interruption, and asked to switch to another topic.
She told the DJ, "You know, honestly, I’m trying not to make it into a bigger deal than it already is. It’s kind of become more of a bigger deal than I thought it would be. I would just like to move on a little bit. …I didn’t know what to think but I think we should talk about something else. It’s nothing I feel like we should talk about." But Swift is taking something positive from all the negativity surrounding the incident - the notes of encouragement she’s received from fans and celebrities, including a special gift from Janet Jackson.
She said, "I think that the outpouring of love is what I focus on about that whole thing, and getting flowers from Janet Jackson is something that I never thought would happen in my whole life.
"Just everybody being supportive and showing love, it was really nice (to know) people I didn’t even think knew who I was were out there having my back and being really very kind to me."

JAY-Z has urged the media to back off his pal KANYE WEST following his notorious outburst at this year’s (09) MTV Video Music Awards, insisting the backlash isn’t justified because "he didn’t kill anybody".
West has come under savage attack from stars and fans alike for storming the stage during Taylor Swift’s Best Female Video acceptance speech last Sunday (13Sep09) to proclaim the prize belonged to Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce.
The Stronger hitmaker has since apologised both personally and publicly to the teenage country singer - but Jay-Z is stunned by how much media coverage and controversy his pal’s behaviour has garnered.
The rap superstar admits it was "rude" of West and "inappropriate at the time" to rush the stage, but can understand why he was moved to do what he did.
Jay-Z says, "Of course it was rude because it was her moment, but that’s the way he really felt… I think it was rude, but the way they’re treating him… "He’s on the cover of every paper. He didn’t kill anybody. No one got harmed. (He’s) a super passionate person."

ANNE HECHE has no regrets about publicly humiliating her ex-husband COLEY LAFFOON by branding him a "lazy-a**" during a controversial U.S. TV interview - insisting her cutting comments were meant to be "funny".
Laffoon filed for divorce in February 2007 after five years of marriage, but the pair’s messy divorce was only finalised last March (09).
Heche made it obvious their split has been anything but amicable during an appearance on Late Show with David Letterman last month (Aug09) - complaining about the $3,700 (£2,470) she pays Laffoon per month in child support for their seven-year-old son Homer.
In a sarcastic rant she explained how Laffoon makes a living, saying: "Can you say ‘lazy a**’ on TV?… He goes out to the mailbox and he opens up the little mailbox door and goes, ‘Oh! I got a cheque from Anne! Oh! I got a cheque from Anne! Yay!’" Laffoon, a 35-year-old real-estate agent, hit back at his ex, insisting he was "disturbed" by the cutting remarks.
But Heche insists she would not change anything about her TV appearance.
She tells Usmagazine.com, "You know, you go on Letterman to have fun and to be funny. Hopefully it was funny!" Heche is currently dating former Men in Trees co-star James Tupper, with whom she has a six-month-old son, Atlas.

Actress ANNA FARIS and her new husband CHRIS PRATT were in Bali, Indonesia for a friend’s wedding when they decided to exchange vows themselves.
The stars were so moved by their pal’s nuptials they tied the knot in a small traditional Balinese ceremony in July (09) after all their friends had left to return home to the U.S.
Faris reveals there were only two others present for the intimate wedding - a local priest and a hotel employee who filmed the romantic event for the couple.
She tells U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "We got married in July in Bali. We were actually there for a friend’s wedding and all our friends left and then we were like, ‘Let’s do it’.
"The hotel offered a Balinesean-style ceremony. They throw things like rice and water and flower petals on you… I had no idea what was going on.
"It was the two of us, the Balinesean priest and a guy from the hotel filming. It was great, it was really spontaneous." The Scary Movie star insists she has no regrets about eloping - and her mother and father are equally as happy about the minimal cost of the wedding.
She adds, "I told my parents and they were like, great! My mum was happy we didn’t spend much money!"

MICHAEL JACKSON’s personal hair stylist is seeking $212,000 (£141,330) from the King of Pop’s estate for unpaid wages.
Lynda Parrish claims she was employed by the superstar to tend to his locks at a cost of $1,500 (£1,000) a day, while she charged $1,000 (£665) to cut the hair of people in his entourage.
She invoiced Jackson for a further $1,000 to cover the cost of business lost when she had to fly outside of California to style the singer’s hair, reports TMZ.com.
In a separate legal matter, the Thriller hitmaker’s estate has been named in a bizarre new lawsuit accusing Jackson of stealing a man’s cure for herpes.
Erle Bonner alleges the singer had samples of his formula for "herpes cure, acne cures and arthritis cures", which he allegedly passed on to Jackson’s co-defendant Kevin Trudeau to sell.
According to TMZ.com, Bonner filed documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday (18Sep09), in which he claims he was also threatened by "someone from the Jackson family".
The legal papers allege the Jackson relative "came by my house and shot a… pistol in the air. They turned around in a neighbour’s driveway and drove away." Bonner is also accusing Jackson of stealing the idea for an automobile insurance policy that "would revolutionise insurance for cars in America", in addition to nine other copyright documents.

MICHAEL JACKSON’s mother has been given permission to challenge the executors of the King of Pop’s estate without jeopardising her position as a will beneficiary.
The superstar appointed attorney John Branca and business associate John McCain to take charge of his affairs, while his mum Katherine Jackson was left 40 per cent of the net value of his assets.
Since Jackson’s death in June (09), Katherine has reportedly been fighting to have a say in all decisions regarding her late son’s estate.
The conditions of the will stipulate the Jackson matriarch risks losing her share of the singer’s fortune if she attempts to challenge the appointment of the executors to gain more control over his affairs.
A lawyer for the star’s mother has previously denied the 79 year old is looking to contest her son’s will, saying: "Despite false reports, neither Mrs. Jackson nor any of her lawyers has or will be contesting the will. Nor has she decided whether or not to raise any challenge to the appointment of the executors named in the will or whether to seek the appointment of an additional co-executor. Her top priority remains the care of her son’s three children." However, a probate judge ruled on Friday (18Sep09) that Katherine is allowed to challenge Branca and McCain’s appointment on the grounds of "undue influence", should she choose to - and still remain a beneficiary, reports TMZ.com.
The court decision comes just one day after the star’s mother landed a monthly allowance of $86,000 (£57,300) to cover living expenses for her and those of the singer’s three children, who she was given guardianship of in July (09).

Police have named a second teenager wanted for questioning in connection to burglaries at the Los Angeles homes of LINDSAY LOHAN and reality TV star AUDRINA PATRIDGE.
Nicholas Prugo was arrested by cops on Thursday (17Sep09) on suspicion of breaking into the Mean Girls actress’ property last month (Aug09), six months after a similar crime at The Hills star Patridge’s home in February (09).
According to online reports, authorities believe the 18-year-old did not act alone - and they are appealing for 19-year-old Rachel Lee to come forward, although she has not been officially named as a suspect.
On Friday (18Sep09), TMZ.com revealed that Prugo, who is currently being held on $20,000 (£13,300) bail, had previously been convicted for cocaine possession. He was busted again in August (09) for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI).

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer LEON KIRCHNER has died of congestive heart failure. He was 90.
Kirchner died on Thursday (17Sep09) at his Manhattan, New York home.
A composer of contemporary classical music, his 1966 string quartet earned him the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
Kirchner began composing while studying at Los Angeles City College. He later began graduate work at the University of California, Berkeley, and won the George Ladd Prix de Paris for his studies in 1942.
In 1954 he joined the faculty at Mills College in Oakland, California. He conducted the Harvard Chamber Orchestra and taught for 28 years as a Professor of Music at the university before retiring in 1991.
Kirchner is survived by his son and daughter, his brother, and his companion, Sally Wardwell.

The airplane carrying SCOTT WEILAND from Los Angeles to Florida was forced to make an emergency landing in Dallas, Texas on Friday (18Sep09) after the rocker suffered a seizure onboard.
The Stone Temple Pilots frontman was on his way to Miami, Florida when he experienced the health scare.
According to TMZ.com, the pilot landed the aircraft at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Weiland was taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures.
The star, who allegedly has a history of seizures, is still expected to attend the launch of his fashion line Weiland for English Laundry in Miami on Saturday (19Sep09).

The man accused of attacking AMERICAN IDOL host RYAN SEACREST’s bodyguard has been sentenced to 15 days behind bars after pleading guilty to the assault.
Chidi Uzomah, 25, was charged with misdemeanour counts of battery, assault and possession of a switchblade on Tuesday (15Sep09) after an altercation with the TV presenter’s security.
Seacrest was visiting the Children’s Hospital in Orange County, California when Uzomah approached him and asked for an autograph.
The star obliged, but when he turned away, Uzomah started to follow him, prompting the bodyguard to step in and intervene.
According to TMZ.com, Uzomah lashed out at the guard and attempted to choke him before he was arrested by cops.
After appearing in Orange County Superior Court via a video feed on Friday (18Sep09), the crazed fan was sentenced to 15 days in prison, three years’ probation and ordered to "destroy" all weapons he owns.
If he fails to abide by the law when he’s released, he faces either a six month prison term or a $1,000 (£665) fine.

REDMOND O’NEAL will move out of his California prison cell and into a drug rehabilitation centre for one year after pleading no contest to a charge of drug possession.
The 24-year-old son of actor Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett has been undergoing intensive drug treatment behind bars following his April (09) arrest, when he attempted to smuggle illegal substances into another Los Angeles correctional facility while visiting a jailed pal.
But O’Neal, who was already serving time for another drug count, has been given one final chance to kick his drug habit once and for all.
He appeared in a court in Santa Clarita, California on Friday (18Sep09) and pleaded no contest to the smuggling charge.
He was sentenced to a minimum of one year in the Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Pasadena, California and put on three years of formal probation by Superior Court Judge Graciela Freixes.
However, if O’Neal suffers a setback in his drug battle, he could face being locked up for up to six years.

KANYE WEST is in for a roasting - New York comedians want to take aim at the rapper for ruining TAYLOR SWIFT’s big moment at the MTV Video Music Awards last weekend (13Sep09).
The rapper has been chastised by a host of celebrities after he stormed the stage at the VMAs to protest Taylor Swift’s Best Female Video win on Sunday night (13Sep09).
West snatched the microphone from Swift as she was making her acceptance speech and proclaimed his pal Beyonce deserved the prize, leaving the young country star "rattled" and speechless.
The Stronger hitmaker has since said sorry repeatedly for his rude behaviour - but officials at the Big Apple’s Friars’ Club are unimpressed by West’s public apologies and want to poke fun at him with scathing humour in a celebrity ‘roasting’.
Executive director Michael Gyure tells the New York Post, "How can Kanye not agree? He keeps apologising… maybe it’s time to let our comedians have their say at a roast." If West does take part in the event, he will join the likes of Bruce Willis, Hugh Hefner and Donald Trump, who have all been mocked in the annual ceremony.

LINDSAY LOHAN was reportedly escorted off the premises of a New York hotel on Thursday night (17Sep09) after a heated bust-up with her on/off girlfriend SAMANTHA RONSON.
The actress was at the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan when a fight is said to have broken out between her and Ronson.
According to Hollyscoop.com, police were called to intervene after Lohan allegedly "threw a room service tray at what she thought was her girlfriend’s door" during the altercation.
However, the flying missile slammed into the wrong door - and the website claims Lohan had to be removed from the hotel grounds after staff received a number of complaints from other guests.
