MICHAEL JACKSON’s one-time confidante and spiritual advisor RABBI SHMULEY BOTEACH has grave doubts his former friend is happy with his burial site - because the King of Pop wanted to be laid to rest among children.
Jackson was buried in a mausoleum, surrounded by other dead celebrities, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California on 3 September (09), but newly-released taped conversations between the singer and Boteach reveal it’s perhaps not a location he would have chosen.
Boteach has released extracts from the 30 hours of interviews he recorded with Jackson between 1999 and 2001 to promote his new book The Michael Jackson Tapes, and, appearing on America’s Today show on Friday morning (25Sep09), he played one very telling line.
Jackson could be heard saying, "I want to be buried right where there’s children… I would feel safer that way. I want them next to me. I need their spirit." The King of Pop also told Boteach that he feared growing old: "When the body breaks down and you start to wrinkle, I think it’s so bad… I don’t want to grow old."

Rapper 50 CENT jumped at the chance to star in new movie DEAD MAN RUNNING after learning British hardman DANNY DYER had signed on to the project.
In the action thriller, the In Da Club hitmaker plays a loan shark who orders ex-conman Nick, played by Dyer, to pay back the cash he owes in 24 hours.
50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, reveals he became a big fan of British crime movies, like Dyer’s Outlaw and Daniel Craig’s Layer Cake, after watching the films while on tour, and he admits it was Dyer’s involvement in Dead Man Running which convinced him to take on the role.
He says, "I knew I would be in a secure space surrounded by this sort of cast."

MICHAEL JACKSON has attacked his father’s harsh punishment methods from beyond the grave.
The King of Pop often spoke out about beatings he received as a child at the hands of his dad, Joe - and now newly-released taped interviews he recorded with former spiritual advisor Rabbi Shmuley Boteach have revealed the sick extremes the Jackson family patriarch went to to discipline his kids.
Boteach has released the tapes, recorded between 1999 and 2001, to the media to promote his new book The Michael Jackson Tapes, and during an appearance on America’s Today show on Friday morning (25Sep09), the Rabbi played an extract from the 30 hours of interviews.
In the sample, Jackson could be heard telling his former friend, "He (Joe) was rough. The way he would beat you was hard… He would make you strip nude first, he would oil you down. It would be a whole ritual. He would oil you down, so when the flip of the ironing cord hit you… it was just like me dying, and you had whips all over your face, your back, everywhere.
"I always heard my mother like, ‘No Joe, you’re gonna kill ‘em, you’re gonna kill ‘em.’ And I would just give up, like there was nothing I could do… And I hated him for it." Joe Jackson has maintained he never beat his children.

Rapper LIL WAYNE’s experimental rock album REBIRTH will hit music retailers in time for Christmas (09) after experiencing several delays.
The highly-anticipated record was initially due for release in May (09), but, after it was pushed back more than four times, fans feared the disc would never make it to stores.
Lil Wayne denied rumours record label bosses were attempting to axe the project, blaming the delays on issues with sample clearances and his heavy workload with his own label Young Money.
Rebirth is now officially due to be released on 15 December (09) - just in time for the holidays.

Teenage rapper SOULJA BOY TELL’EM has dismissed reports he’s engaged to video vixen ROSA ACOSTA - after she was pictured with the star wearing a ring on her wedding finger.
Reports of an engagement were sparked when the actress/model posted photos of the pair online following a dinner date in Los Angeles with the Crank That (Soulja Boy) hitmaker, real name DeAndre Ramone Way.
However, a representative for Soulja Boy has denied the claims, while Acosta’s manager Charles Garner insists the beauty is definitely single and claims the ring was a gift from her mother.
Garner tells MTV.com, "So the story is that the proposal is false. Miss Acosta is still very much single.
"She was in L.A. filming the Chris Brown video with several other models. Soulja Boy was in L.A. He’s been with friends with Rosa for a while and asked if she and the other girls wanted to go to dinner.
"So he took her and four other girls to dinner, (during) which some playful pictures were taken as ‘behind the scenes’ for Miss Acosta’s website. The ring she has on her finger is a ring that was given to her by her mother about three or four years ago and it was not given to her by Soulja Boy.
"The picture that everyone has up is a harmless picture where he’s kissing her on the cheek. And there’s about four other pictures where you see him at the table with her and the other models and he’s hugging everybody."

BILLY JOEL’s singer daughter ALEXA RAY JOEL was forced to pull out of a TV appearance in New York on Friday (25Sep09) after she was struck down with a mystery illness.
The 23 year old, rocker Joel’s child with ex-wife, supermodel Christie Brinkley, was scheduled to perform on The Wendy Williams Show but has had to postpone her set until next month (Oct09).
Williams explains, "Alexa Ray Joel was supposed to be here today but she’s got a very bad something or other. She was supposed to sing." Ray Joel will instead appear on the talk show on 21 October (09).

Actor MARTIN SHORT gave female stylists working on his 1994 comedy CLIFFORD more than they bargained for during his first day of filming, when he accidentally exposed himself.
The funnyman portrayed the 10-year-old title character in the movie, despite being 44 at the time.
He was required to shave his legs for the role but was in such a rush to get to the set, he forgot to do so and had to ask the on-set hairdresser, Christine, and her assistant to help him with hair removal cream Nair.
He recalls, "I rushed in and forgot to shave my legs. I meet my female hairdresser and her assistant and my make-up artist John and I say, ‘Look guys, why don’t we do this simultaneously.’ So I took off my pants and I had my boxers on. I put my legs up onto the counter and I said, ‘Why don’t you ladies just Nair my legs and we can do the make-up now too?’" Short only realised he had been flashing his penis at the women when they finished the job and he looked down to check out their handiwork: "I’m talking to John, they finish ‘Nairing’ (sic) my legs and I look down and my penis is hanging out of my boxer underwear. So I was completely frightened and terrified but I don’t say anything to them because I just met them." But he managed to make light of the situation after establishing a friendship with the hairdressers and the pair laughed off the embarrassing incident.
He adds, "A week later I went up to Christine and I said, ‘The first day we met, was my penis hanging out of my boxers?’ and she said, ‘Yes. And if I knew you then like I know you now, I would have shoved that thing right back in!’"

Actor VINCE VAUGHN refrains from greeting fans in their native language whenever he travels to non-English speaking countries, because he never understands their responses.
The Wedding Crashers star admits he no longer goes out of his way to say hello to movie fans whenever he travels to countries like China, because he is always embarrassed when locals answer back using more complicated vocabulary.
Vaughn says, "I was in China and I went, ‘Ni hao’ (hello in Mandarin) to people and (my friend) was like, ‘Why are you learning these words?’ Because you go round saying, ‘Hi, how are you?’ to these people, they think you can have a conversation with them and then they respond to you and they’re adding a lot of words from the language and you’re like, I’m sorry, I don’t speak the language!’ Then they’re like, ‘Well why are you saying hi to me?!’"

New York Mayor MICHAEL BLOOMBERG has marked the 20th anniversary of LAW & ORDER by honouring the U.S. cop drama with its own day.
The TV hit, created by Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, follows the lives of a group of police officers and prosecutors as they solve crimes in the Big Apple.
The series is currently in its 20th season and Bloomberg has officially recognised the long-running show for highlighting the city by declaring 23 September Law & Order Day.
Actor Anthony Anderson, who joined the show in 2008 as Detective Kevin Bernard, admits it was a proud day for the cast and crew, and jokes that they should be granted special privileges on Law & Order Day.
He says, "It’s big and I’m not sure what it means for us as a holiday, but since we are all police officers on the show we get free doughnuts for the day across the city every September 23rd. No, no. It’s just a piece of paper." The star reveals the cast and crew celebrated the honour with a party earlier this week (23Sep09) - and were joined by former Law & Order stars including Angie Harmon and Benjamin Bratt.
And Anderson can understand why the show has been so successful over the last two decades.
He adds, "There was a load of old cast members there… some I didn’t know. But while I was there, I realised why it’s been so successful for 20 years, it’s because of the love that was there, it was like a family reunion."

Porn tycoon LARRY FLYNT has won the first round in his battle against nephews Jimmy Flynt II and Dustin Flynt - he has been given the opportunity to take his relatives to court over a trademark infringement issue.
The Hustler magazine boss sued his nephews’ Flynt Media Group for using the family name to start a new porn enterprise without his permission, and now a Los Angeles judge has denied their request to dismiss the case.
Federal judge A. Howard Matz stated that, "Given Larry Flynt’s fame and (the) defendants’ use of the slogan ‘You Know the Name’ in promoting their products, a jury could reasonably find that (the) defendants’ use of ‘Flynt’ was a knowing use of plaintiff’s name, or a use of his identity." In filing his suit earlier this year (09), Larry Flynt stated he feared Jimmy and Dustin Flynt "will produce and inferior product" that would tarnish his name.
He said, "To come into the adult entertainment business and use my name not only confuses people who buy my products… it could also hurt my name." But the brothers insisted, "It’s our turn to be successful in this business." Ironically, the Flynt boys worked for their uncle for more than a decade before the Hustler boss fired them for being unproductive.
The federal court has already issued a preliminary injunction against the nephews, restricting their use of the Flynt name, and they will now face the publishing mogul in court on 8 December (09).
Larry Flynt’s attorney, Jonathan W. Brown, says, "My client is very happy with this decision, and looks forward to having his rights vindicated at trial.
"It is unfortunate that his nephews have chosen to attempt to enrich themselves at the expense of their uncle. He is obviously saddened by what he views as his nephews’ disloyalty, especially given all he has done for them in the past."

Actor RANDY QUAID and his wife have reportedly refused to settle an outstanding hotel bill in full - unless the resort owners agree not to press charges against them.
The Brokeback Mountain star and his spouse Evi are accused of racking up a $10,000 (£6,660) debt during a stay at the luxury San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California in June (09).
The couple was arrested in the actor’s native Texas on Thursday (24Sep09) after a judge issued a felony warrant against the Quaids.
They each posted $20,000 (£13,300) bail and were released on Thursday night.
TMZ.com reports the Quaids have since paid part of the disputed amount - but still owe $5,000 (£3,330).
And the couple, who face charges for allegedly burglarising and defrauding the hotel owner, is said to be holding back the remaining cash until bosses decide not to pursue any legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, Evi Quaid reportedly verbally attacked the cop who arrested her, after tracking him down in his police station in Marfa, Texas on Friday (25Sep09).
Deputy James Davis of Presidio County Sheriff’s Office claims Quaid accused him of being "a crooked, corrupt cop" with "a plot against her and her husband" during a "psychotic episode".
The cop alleges Evi followed him into the station and threw a handwritten statement at him, accusing him of setting her and her husband up.

Screen legend BRIGITTE BARDOT is calling on animal lovers to boycott Canadian maple syrup until the country bans seal hunting.
The longtime animal rights activist is calling for a complete snub of Canada’s most iconic consumer product to put pressure on the government to stop the culling of hundreds of thousands of seals a year.
The North American country produces nearly 85 per cent of the world’s maple syrup - and Bardot insists the best way to force powerful people to listen is to hit them in the pocket.
Writing on the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) website, she says, "Massive ethical reactions from consumers can sometimes convince a government or a corporation to change the way that it does business.
"That is why I am supporting PETA’s boycott of Canadian maple syrup until the Canadian government agrees to ban the slaughter of seals on the ice floes, the largest massacre of marine mammals on Earth, forever." The And God Made Woman star travelled to Canada in 2006 to urge Prime Minister Stephen Harper to ban commercial seal killings, but was refused a meeting.

Actor RANDY QUAID’s wife EVI has filed a formal complaint against the Texas police officer who took them into custody on Thursday (24Sep09), accusing the cop of conspiring to set the couple up.
The Brokeback Mountain star and his partner Evi each posted $20,000 (£13,300) bail on Thursday night (24Sep09) after they were arrested in rural Marfa over an outstanding $10,000 (£6,660) hotel bill.
A judge had issued a warrant for the couple’s arrest earlier in the day after hotel bosses at the luxury San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, claimed the Quaids had left without paying up.
Evi returned to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning (25Sep09) and verbally abused arresting officer Deputy James Davis in what he has described as a "psychotic episode".
In a handwritten police statement, obtained by TMZ.com, Evi Quaid alleges Davis is in cohorts with two men, including the couple’s former business manager Mickey Segal, to extort cash from the Quaids.
She claims the extortion is related to a death threat the couple received last year (08) when the actor was booted from the Actors’ Equity Association. He was ousted after he was accused by the cast of his Broadway show Lone Star Love of physically and verbally abusing them.
Evi reportedly suspected one of Quaid’s former colleagues made the death threat.
In her police statement, Evi writes, "I believe James Davis fraudulently organised an arrest of my husband and myself to receive money from Bob Boyett… (from) The Stagehands Union and our former business manager Mickey Segal, who are attempting to acquire our assets illegally by creating false evidence."

A-HA frontman MORTEN HARKET smiles when fans point out his resemblance to PATRICK SWAYZE - because it was the actor himself who first noticed their similarity.
The Take On Me hitmaker admits he was upset after hearing Swayze had passed away earlier this month (Sep09) because he was a big fan of the Dirty Dancing star - who couldn’t believe how much the two stars looked alike.
Harket recalls, "I met him once and I was really sad when he died because Michael Jackson passed away and that’s been such an uproar, but you haven’t seen any of that with Patrick Swayze. I really like him as an actor and I was lucky to meet him once and he was such a nice guy.
"He came up to me and he introduced himself and said, ‘You know, we could be brothers!’ He was actually the first one to think that he and I looked alike." Swayze died age 57 after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer.

MICHAEL JACKSON’s concert promoters are hoping the upcoming THIS IS IT tour documentary will prove they had the late star’s well-being in mind.
Since Jackson’s death from a cardiac arrest in June (09) bosses at AEG Live have vigilantly defended allegations the King of Pop was pushed into extending his initial 10-show run to 50 dates - despite concerns the star was too frail to perform the full stretch.
Reports claimed the Jackson family were suspicious of the people handling Jackson’s tour and felt the forthcoming film, in which the Thriller hitmaker looks in good form, was "propaganda" for them to prove Jackson was fit and healthy before his death.
Bosses at AEG Live are donating the majority of the film’s profits to the Jackson Family Trust and a spokesperson for the company has previously dodged the rumours they were using the documentary to show they’d not overworked the star.
But President of AEG, Tim Leiweke, has now spoken out and rubbished the reports, insisting he is "proud" of the professional relationship his company had with Jackson.
He says, "I think we still are hurt. Some of the things that people have said about us, which are so untrue, this movie’s going to restore his legacy, and prove that we, in fact, gave Michael a second chance here. And an opportunity to make the kind of comeback (he) was dreaming of. And that we created an environment for him that was probably the best environment that the guy had the last 10 or 15 years of his life. And I’m very proud of the way we treated Michael, and very proud of the partnership that we had with him. And this movie is an opportunity to celebrate that, and we could get past all of the gossip and all of the innuendo." The film is set for a two-week worldwide theatrical release next month (28Oct09).

A tribute concert for MICHAEL JACKSON was axed after officials in Austria pulled funding when they realised the line-up consisted of "B-list" singers, it has emerged.
Jermaine Jackson initially announced stars including Chris Brown and Mary J. Blige had signed up to perform, but was forced into a u-turn earlier this month (Sep09).
He admitted several big-name acts had in fact not confirmed their attendance, throwing the concert into doubt - and it was cancelled hours later when officials in Vienna withdrew their funding over the line-up.
The city had pledged $825,000 (£550,000) towards the spectacular show at Schonbrunn Palace, scheduled for September 26, after estimates it would have pulled in more than $48 million (£32 million) in advertising.
But Michael Haupl, the Mayor of Vienna, was disappointed with the lack of world class singers on the bill, and insists the entire event was badly organised.
He says, "(It would have been) very interesting… had it been properly prepared and organised, but it was not." The show has since been moved to London and is expected to take place next year (10).

A shamed Philadelphia cop is facing more than 12 years in prison after he was caught up in the drug dealing empire of hip-hop mogul ALTON ‘ACE CAPONE’ COLES.
In April (09), Take Down Records boss Coles was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute cocaine in Pennsylvania’s major cities and of leading a criminal enterprise which put $25 million (£17.8 million) worth of the drug onto the streets.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment plus 55 years behind bars.
Former police officer Rickie Durham was alleged to have tipped off a pal about an imminent raid on Coles, knowing that the message would be relayed to the drugs lord.
He was subsequently charged with obstruction of justice and one count of giving a false statement, and convicted on Thursday (24Sep09).
Durham - a police officer for 12 years - is due to be sentenced later this month (Sep09).

Rapper JA RULE took two takes to perfect his performance at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors on Wednesday (23Sep09) after his duet with ASHANTI was ruined by technical difficulties.
The stars joined their peers including Method Man, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and DMX at the event in Brooklyn, New York to pay tribute to iconic label Def Jam Records and mark its 25th anniversary.
But Ja Rule and Ashanti were forced to restart their renditions of hit songs Always On Time and Down 4 You when sound problems wrecked their first performance.
Other live acts included Gym Class Heroes’ hook-up with DMX on Party Up, Mary J. Blige and Method Man’s rendition of I’ll Be There For You/You’re All I Need To Get By, and The Roots’ collaboration with Public Enemy, Rage Against The Machine star Tom Morello and Sweeper Social Club for 1987 anthem Rebel Without a Pause.
The ceremony will air on U.S. TV on 13 October (09).
