ROMIJN: ‘MY BABIES TOOK ME FOR GRANTED’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:48 pm

REBECCA ROMIJN is relishing the break she gets from her twin babies on the set of her new TV show EASTWICK - because they took her "for granted" when she was a stay at home mum.
After nursing Dolly and Charlie for six months, Romijn swapped places with husband Jerry O’Connell so she could return to work on the new witch-themed drama.
And her relationship with her babies is better than ever.
The actress tells Starpulse.com, "I was with them right up until they were six months which is when we started shooting, and I felt like they kind of took me for granted a little bit, like Jerry’d walk in, they’d be like, ‘Ahhh.’ But then they never even noticed that it was me with them the whole time. I was a milk machine. I felt like that’s all I was to them, just this walking milk machine.
"Now that I’m not there as many hours during the day, they’re pretty clingy and I have to say I love it. It’s the best feeling in the world."

KATRINA MISERY INSPIRED MR T TO RETIRE HIS GOLD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:48 pm

A-TEAM star MR T has hung up his trademark gold chains for good, after witnessing the horror of Hurricane Katrina.
The actor - real name Laurence Tureaud - famously hung strings of gold around his neck on and off screen.
But he retired the bling in 2005 out of respect for the victims of the natural disaster, which struck America’s gulf coast, killing thousands.
Mr T tells the New York Daily News, "As a Christian I said I would never wear my own gold again because of what happened with Hurricane Katrina. It would be a sin against God for me to wear my gold when so many people lost everything.
"Sure, it’s my trademark, but I am the same person whether I’m wearing the gold or not. My moral values are the same. The gold don’t make me, I make the gold."

TROYER: ‘LEDGER’S DEATH HELPED DR. PARNASSUS MOVIE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:48 pm

VERNE TROYER is convinced the death of HEATH LEDGER was "almost meant to be" - because the impact his tragic passing had on THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS improved the final cut of the movie.
Ledger was shooting scenes for the film before his death from a prescription drug overdose in January 2008, and Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell were drafted in by director Terry Gilliam to carry on the project.
All three stars play different versions of Ledger’s character Tim - a move Troyer is pleased about, because it fits in so well with the weird fantasy film.
But the pint-sized star is adamant he would rather Ledger had played the role in its entirety.
He says, "I don’t really want to say this but it’s almost like it was meant to be because it flows so well. I’d rather have Heath for the whole thing but for some reason it worked.
"It was tough. I’m sure everybody else felt the same way I did. I just couldn’t believe it. It was hard to go back to work because you were used to seeing Heath and he just wasn’t there."

MANSON’S REPS DENY ROCKER HAS SWINE FLU

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:48 pm

MARILYN MANSON’s concert promoters have contradicted the shock rocker’s confession he’s been diagnosed with swine flu.
Last week (begs21Sep09) Manson claimed he was informed by doctors earlier this month (Sep09) he had contracted the virus.
In a post on his personal blog, Manson wrote, "So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU.
"I know everyone will suggest that f**king a pig is how this disease was obtained. However, the doctor said, my past choices in women have, in ‘no way’ contributed to… me acquiring this mysterious sickness. Unfortunately, I am going to survive. M." However, promoters for Manson’s Canadian tour have denied the rocker has contracted the illness.
A statement from the promoters reads: "The Gillett Entertainment Group and Live Nation confirmed today that contrary to rumours circulating, Marilyn Manson is not suffering from swine flu." Manson wrapped his Canadian tour with shows in Halifax on Friday (25Sep09) and Moncton, New Brunswick, on Saturday (26Sep09).
His online posts have since been removed.

TRAVOLTA EVIDENCE UP IN FLAMES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:45 pm

A key piece of evidence in the JOHN TRAVOLTA extortion trial has been destroyed by one of the suspects, according to police.
Paramedic Tarino Lightbourn and former Bahamian senator Pleasant Bridgewater are currently on trial in Nassau, accused of attempting to secure a multi-million payment from Travolta for the return of a form the star signed just before his son Jett was pronounced dead in January (09).
The 16 year old died after suffering a seizure during a family holiday on the Caribbean island.
The document at the centre of the case is a Refusal of Treatment/Transportation form, which the Grease actor signed after requesting paramedics drive the family to the airport so he could fly Jett to a hospital in Florida.
Travolta initially believed it would be faster to travel back to the U.S. than take Jett to a local hospital, but subsequently changed his mind. The teen was pronounced dead at the medical centre.
Cops searched Bridgewater’s law office after her arrest on 22 January (09), but when detectives failed to find the original document, she told officers "she had already destroyed it", according to a police report filed by Sergeant Deborah Thompson on 30 January (09).
When quizzed further about the missing form, the report states, "She replied that she only had a copy, but after she noticed that the incident was about to explode, she used a candle at her home and lit the document on fire and flush (sic) the ashes in the toilet bowl at her residence." The candle was found by police, along with tiny remnants of what is believed to be the document: "Whilst at her residence, she directed officers to a white candle in a glass, which when examined had what appeared to be ashes in it." Lightbourn and Bridgewater were reportedly caught on camera thrashing out a deal with Travolta’s lawyer.
They deny conspiracy to commit extortion. The case continues.

JACKSON: ‘PRESS ABUSE WAS RACISM’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:45 pm

MICHAEL JACKSON believed he was bullied by the media because of the colour of his skin.
The singer enjoyed a mixed relationship with the press before his death in June (09) and he felt he was unfairly treated when he was first accused of child molestation in 1993, and again when he was tried and acquitted in 2005.
During taped interviews with his friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach between 1999 and 2001, Jackson claimed he was picked on because he was the first black star to win over a white audience.
Jackson said, "You had (Harry) Belafonte, you had Sammy (Davis Jr.), you had Nat King Cole. People loved their music, but they didn’t get adulation, they didn’t get crying. I was the first one to break the ice, break the mould, where white girls, Scottish girls, Irish girls are screaming, ‘I’m in love with you, I want to…’ And that gave a lot of the white press, they didn’t like that, and that’s why they started the stories. ‘He’s weird, he’s gay, he sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber, he wants to buy the Elephant Man bones.’ "Anything that turned people against me. They tried their hardest."

A source tells Britain’s London Lite, "Keisha has known Ne-Yo for a few years. They are close friends and have worked together on Sugababes material. So when he heard she had left the group he contacted her and told her he wants to work with her."
