O’BRIEN MOCKS STUNT MISHAP ON TONIGHT SHOW RETURN
U.S. talk show host CONAN O’BRIEN returned to THE TONIGHT SHOW on Monday (28Sep09) and shook off his ill-fated stunt by joking about his injury.
O’Brien was filming a stunt sequence with Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher on Friday (25Sep09) when he banged his head and suffered mild concussion.
He was treated in hospital and didn’t suffer any lasting injuries, but NBC network’s refusal to reveal the star’s condition heightened media interest in the incident.
And the presenter insists he found the furore so amusing, he’s planning on injuring himself again.
He joked, "As many of you may know, on this past Friday’s show I was doing a stunt and I hit my head and suffered a slight concussion. And I promise, if you’re a good audience, I’ll do it again tonight.
"So tune in tomorrow when Eva Longoria pushes me down an elevator shaft."
