ANTHONY MOVES CLOSER TO MIAMI DOLPHINS
Salsa star MARC ANTHONY has bought a new home in Florida - so he can keep a close eye on his investment in American football team the Miami Dolphins.
The singer and his wife Jennifer Lopez purchased shares in the NFL team in July (09) and Anthony was so keen to have a more permanent base in the city, he’s snapped up a new condominium near Miami’s South Beach.
He told People.com on Monday (21Sep09), "I bought a condo today in Miami. When we are through decorating the condo, it will be the sexiest place in town!" The Latino is adamant he will not be uprooting Lopez and their 18-month-old twins Max and Emme from their New York home, where they spend most of their time - he’s simply building up his property portfolio.
Anthony added, "We are not selling our homes in New York or Los Angeles, we are just adding Miami. Now that I’m involved with the Dolphins, I am busy working and see a different set of stresses than I experience being a father. So I want to be close by. And we love Miami." The singer is just one of a handful of celebrity shareholders - sporting sisters Venus and Serena Williams and Gloria Estefan are also part-owners in the NFL team.
