MADONNA WRAPS UP MIDDLE EAST TRIP WITH JORDAN VISIT
MADONNA concluded her visit to the Middle East on Thursday (03Sep09) with a sightseeing trip to the world-famous Petra ruins.
The pop superstar wrapped up her world tour in Israel on Wednesday (02Sep09), but wasn’t quite ready to fly home.
Instead, she flew to Jordan and took a helicopter trip to the ancient red stone city arranged by Queen Rania, the wife of the country’s King Abdullah II - who also provided Madonna with a royal security team.
The pop star walked in silence and almost total darkness.
Madonna is expected to return to America next week (beg07Sep09), where she’ll reportedly prepare to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on 13 September (09).
