CYRUS’ PUBLIC ARGUMENT WITH EX

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:36 pm

MILEY CYRUS has taken a feud with her ex-boyfriend JUSTIN GASTON to the internet - blasting her former lover on her Twitter.com page.
The fight was sparked when Gaston posted a note on his web blog, stating, "’People mistake stupidity for bravery way to (sic) easily." Cyrus snapped back, "Yeah. I love when people mistake bravery with writing a few stupid tweets (Twitter messages) trying to make it seem like they don’t care. You’re afraid to love." The pair split earlier this year (09) and Cyrus has since been forced to fend off rumours about her love life, with internet gossips linking her to another former boyfriend Nick Jonas and Step Up 2: The Streets actor Adam Sevani.
After her Twitter.com spat with Gaston, the teen star went on to admit she was "getting love advice from my body guard. Big guy with an even BIGGER heart." He recalls, "Chopper is one crazy guy. He went round killing drug dealers and rapists. When he was finally caught he got someone to cut his ears off. They made a film about him.
"When he got out of prison, this guy I know from Melbourne had the idea to turn him into a rap star. So we worked on hip-hop tracks for him. He was scary… you don’t want to mess with him."

WENTZ SHARES PHOTO OF BABY BRONX

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:33 pm

FALL OUT BOY star PETE WENTZ has backtracked on his promise to keep his young son out of the spotlight - posting a photo of baby BRONX online after previously vowing not to show off the tot to fans.
The bassist and his wife, pop star/actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, refused to sell pictures of Bronx Mowgli to any magazines after he was born in November (08), despite being offered "mounds and mounds of money by mags to pimp out the baby", according to Wentz.
The rocker even declared he would ban personal photos of the newborn from his blog - but now he has published a snap to prove the internet can be harmless.
He writes, "You know I wrote that I didn’t really want to post pictures of Bronx out there. I feel like it would be damaging to our family and besides, he’s not old enough to decide if he wants to be an avatar (online image) or not.
"But the truth is I want him to know there is other stuff out there on the web about him that isn’t damaging and is just normal. Besides we had an old friend come and just take some pics so we could remember him when he was this lil (little). He’s blonde now.â€

COOPER GIG SCRAPPED ON ‘RELIGIOUS GROUNDS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:33 pm

ALICE COOPER has been forced to cancel an upcoming concert in Finland after the venue’s owners objected to the controversial rock show on "religious grounds." The singer was scheduled to play the Tampere Areena, in Tampere, Finland on 11 December (09) but management officials subsequently admitted the booking conflicted with their "Christian-based policies".
Tampere Areena boss Harri Wiherkoski announced the cancellation on Friday (15Aug09) and put it down to an objection from other clients who use the venue.
Gig promoter Kalle Keskinen, who helped organised the show, admits he was shocked by the reaction, telling Finland’s YLE news, "(Several religious groups) and others use Tampere Areena for their events, so the venue’s management did not want Alice Cooper appearing in the same hall. The contract which we received from Tampere Areena specifies that no artists may perform there who ‘incite evil and the power of darkness’. We never imagined that a rock veteran who has performed in Finland in four separate decades without any problems and who has spoken in public of his own religious convictions would not be allowed to perform at Tampere Areena in 2009." The promoters now hope to move the gig to the city of Espoo, but are "awaiting (Cooper’s) approval of the new arrangements".
Cooper - real name Vincent Furnier - has courted controversy throughout his career for the macabre themes used in his music and shows, as well as his gruesome onstage theatrics which have included antic beheadings, stabbings and stranglings.
Cooper last appeared in Finland in November 2007, when he played shows in Helsinki, Oulu and Ostrobothnia.

NEWTON’S MOTHER PROTECTED HER FROM RACISM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:30 pm

THANDIE NEWTON has credited her mother with shielding her from racism while she was growing up in England - although her efforts strained their relationship at times.
The actress is the daughter of Englishman Nick and Zimbabwean Nyasha, who emigrated to Britain to work as a nurse.
As a result of her mixed heritage, the Crash star and her family were subjected to cruel taunting during her youth in the English county of Cornwall.
But Newton admits she frequently wasn’t aware of the rude remarks because her mother worked hard to protect her from it.
She says, "I remember sensing that my mother was holding something back from me. I used to think I had done something wrong because she could be so distant. I knew there was something going on that I didn’t know about, and, because I was a child, I thought it was my fault. It took me years to work out that she had actually been protecting me as a child (from) racism.
"It was Cornwall. I don’t blame people. I don’t think it was truly nasty, but there were comments, and my mother kept all that away from us and, to do that, she had to keep herself distant in order to be a barrier between us and them." The 36 year old struggled to understand her mother’s distance, insisting it left her feeling deeply devastated: "She has explained it to me and of course I understand. There were times when I was so unhappy no one could reach me. It’s like a madness." But their relationship has since been patched up - and she’s grateful for her mother’s support: "My mother and father have always supported me in what I do, even when I have had my own distance from them."

She has also postponed the release of her new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel for a second time, which was initially slated to hit stores on 25 August (09) but now won’t get a release until the end of September (09).
The news has sparked fears for Carey’s heath, with internet gossips suggesting the star may have fallen ill.
But a representative for the singer is adamant the delays are noting to worry about.
Carey’s publicist Cindi Berger tells People.com, "These dates have been postponed and not cancelled. Record release dates change all the time. It’s nothing unusual and it doesn’t signal anything. There are a lot of moving parts to Mariah’s professional life. It’s no big deal."

AEROSMITH WILL PLAY HAWAII SHOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:39 pm

Rockers AEROSMITH have assured fans in Hawaii they will honour their commitment to play a show in Maui - after they scrapped the rest of their North American tour last week (beg10Aug09).
The Walk This Way hitmakers were forced to cancel the remaining dates of their U.S. trek after frontman Steven Tyler fell off the stage at a show in South Dakota on 5 August (09).
But the announcement angered residents of the Pacific islands, who first sued the band in 2007 after they pulled out of a sold-out gig in Maui to play a larger concert in Chicago, Illinois.
As part of their court settlement, the rockers agreed to perform in Hawaii in September or October (10) after wrapping up their North America tour.
But Aerosmith’s lawyer, Jay Handlin, has moved to allay fears the concert may be scrapped as well, telling Hawaii’s Star Bulletin publication that the band will honour their promise to play in Maui.
Tyler, 61, broke his left shoulder and needed 20 stitches in the back of his head after the nasty tumble at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.

HUNTER’S SAVING GRACE IS AXED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:36 pm

HOLLY HUNTER is bidding goodbye to her gunslinging role on U.S. TV series SAVING GRACE - the police drama has been cancelled by network bosses.
The actress plays an Oklahoma City police detective opposite Kenneth Johnson, Leon Rippy and Laura San Giacomo on the TNT show.
