SIENNA MILLER was surprised her relationship with the paparazzi turned sour - because she found the attention "really exciting" when she first shot to fame.
The blonde Brit quickly became a tabloid favourite when her relationship with actor Jude Law went public in 2004.
Miller admits she relished the attention she suddenly received from the press and photographers, especially when she walked down the red carpet with her mum for the first time.
She insists she felt she could deal with the pressures of intense media scrutiny - because she was "intoxicated" by her love for hunk Law.
She tells GQ magazine, "It was literally one day to the next. One day I was anonymous, the next day people were outside my flat. It was quite intense but initially it didn’t feel aggressive or scary. And I was so in love. It was the first time I’d been crazy in love like that, just intoxicated by it, so really every experience I was having at that time was wonderful. It was a complete whirlwind, the most exciting time of my life.
"When you’re going to your first premiere and there are photographers and a red carpet and your mum’s there, it’s really exciting. Anyone who says it isn’t is lying. But then it all changed." Miller was forced to take a legal action against a photo agency in 2008 after they breached privacy rules by snapping her topless on a secluded beach with her married former beau Balthazar Getty.
And the star insists that was a turning point in her life as a celebrity: "I’m the first person to sue and win against the paparazzi on harassment charges. It’s absolutely changed my life. I didn’t want to shut down and hide myself away. I didn’t want security, I didn’t want a driver, I just wanted a normal life, but I felt myself being pushed to a place where I felt afraid. Constantly."

JENNIFER LOPEZ and MARC ANTHONY paid tribute to the first Latina U.S. Supreme Court Justice SONIA SOTOMAYOR on Monday night (17Aug09), by hosting a dinner in her honour.
Lopez and Sotomayor - who was sworn in on 8 August (09) - share the same Bronx, New York upbringing and Puerto Rican roots.
Anthony was also born in the Big Apple to Hispanic parents.

KENNY CHESNEY is adding fashion designer to his resume - the country singer has launched his own clothing line.
The No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems hitmaker has lined up a chain of stores throughout the southern U.S. to carry his Blue Chair Bay label designed for men and women.
Chesney tells People.com, â��(It’s feels like) that favourite T-shirt that youâ��ve washed a lot that is kind of sun bleachedâ�¦ your favourite khakis, and your shirt that youâ��ve had forever… Blue Chair Bay is kind of like the place weâ��d all like to go if we had no obligations or nowhere to be, and thatâ��s kind of what I want this clothing line to represent." Singer JEWEL is reaching out to residents of her native Alaska - urging them to forgive her for cancelling two concerts in the state.
The star has long been the focus of resentment from her fellow Alaskans after she scrapped an appearance at the Alaska State Fair in 1996 and failed to appear at a planned New Year’s Eve gig four year later.
Fans in the region have been slow to forgive their famous former resident, but Jewel is preparing to mark her Alaskan comeback with a benefit concert in Homer on Wednesday (19Aug09) to raise money for a local charities, and two nights at Anchorage’s Atwood Concert Hall.
And she is urging her fans to let go of their grudge - because she wants her home state to be proud of her.
She says, "I consider myself a product of Alaska. The love and the debt that I feel to my home state - you always want your hometown to be the proudest of you and so it’s heartbreaking to hear people say snarky (snide) things." Jewel’s Anchorage shows have yet to sell out, with promoters reporting to have only shifted around half the 4,000 tickets available for the two nights.
Concert organiser Dan Fiacco adds, "Alaskans don’t let go of grudges very easily. Also, Anchorage in general is kind of a last-minute market."

CREED frontman SCOTT STAPP turned his life around after marrying his wife - because the union gave him the "strength" to break his boozy habits.
The singer’s downward spiral began in 2002 when his wild antics lead to an arrest on reckless driving charges.
Just a year later (03) Stapp was on the verge of suicide, admitting he put a gun to his head in an alcohol-fuelled slump but was unable to pull the trigger. He went on to suffer delusions and "crazy thoughts", accusing his Creed bandmates of wanting him dead.
The band split in 2004 and Stapp admits he didn’t turn his life around until he met former Miss New York winner Jaclyn Nesheiwat.
The couple married in 2006 and now have a son together - and Stapp credits Nesheiwat with pulling him back to reality.
He says, "It (marriage) definitely gives you a greater sense of the responsibility. You no longer live life for yourself anymore. Every decision that I make, I pause, and I speak with my wife and my family - everything goes back to my family and my children. It’s given me strength and peace." Creed announced their reunion earlier this year (09) with a major comeback tour this summer (09) and a new album out in October (09).

PUSSYCAT DOLLS star NICOLE SCHERZINGER has forced the girl group to cancel the first dates of their upcoming tour with the BLACK EYED PEAS, after the singer was diagnosed with an ear infection.
The Don’t Cha hitmakers were scheduled to kick off the road trip next week (24Aug09) in Mansfield, Massachusetts, however, Scherzinger is unable to travel or perform.
In addition to the Mansfield show, the group has axed performances in Wantagh, New York on 25 August (09) and at the New York State Fair in Syracuse on 27 August (09).
Plans to reschedule the shows for the Pussycat Dolls have yet to be released.

Campaigning rocker BONO is set to lose one of his most prized possessions - the Bosnian government is considering stripping him of a passport he was awarded by a previous administration.
Late president Alija Izetbegovic honoured the singer with the document when U2 performed in the capital Sarajevo in 1997, in recognition of the campaign work he did in the country when it was ravaged by war during the 1990s.
The singer recently spoke of the honour and described it as one of his most treasured possessions, when the band performed in neighbouring Croatia - prompting the Bosnian government to review the decision to give a passport to a non-citizen.
Civil Affairs Minister Sredoje Novic tells CMU Music, "If we establish that a passport was given outside a regular legal procedure, we will have no other option but to take it away. We cut no slack to anybody, not even for Bono."

BATMAN BEGINS moviemaker CHRISTOPHER NOLAN has abandoned plans to direct a new big screen adaptation of cult British TV series THE PRISONER.
Nolan had signed up to turn the 1968 show - which starred Patrick McGoohan - into a big budget blockbuster, but he has now quit the production amid rumours he is planning to start work on his third Batman movie early.
Nolan’s departure has thrown The Prisoner into jeopardy - producer Barry Mendel admits they might not get the green light for the project until movie executives have gauged the success of the new TV version, which stars Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel and is set to air later this year (09).
Mendel tells CineFools, "â��Nolan has dropped out of it but we have a first draft (of the script) by David and Janet Peoples who wrote Twelve Monkeys. It’s a good draft and we’re working on the script right now.â�� â��If the series was wildly popular that might effect us. The screenplay (we’ve got) is such a re-imagination of the series, if you think of The Avengers that wasn’t a commercially successful film but it was very much in the spirit of the original show, this looks and feels so different that the tenants of the show are apparent but the execution of it is so different that I think it is unrecognisable."

The beauty queen who stars in a sexy home video with ERIC DANE and his wife REBECCA GAYHEART insists she didn’t have sex with the couple.
Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche appears with the acting couple in a 12-minute video, which leaked online on Monday (17Aug09).
The trio are seen passing the camera around while they discuss each other’s porn names. In one scene Dane filmed the two women in a bathtub.
Shortly after the tape appeared on Defamer.com, the Grey’s Anatomy actor’s lawyer Marty Singer released a statement threatening to sue anyone who published it, and insisting no sex took place.
He said, "Although the participants are nude, the tape is not a ’sex tape.’ It is a private tape made for only my clients’ personal use, and nobody has the right to exploit it. If anyone exploits the tape, they will be violating my clients’ rights and will be exposed to significant liability." On Tuesday (18Aug09) Peniche’s manager David Weintraub echoed the sentiment in an interview Usmagazine.com. He described the video as "all done in good fun," adding, "This is not a sex tape. It’s guys having fun, hanging out together. There is no sex involved in this." Reports from TMZ.com suggest Peniche’s former roommate and Celebrity Rehab co-star, troubled country singer Mindy McCready stole the footage and leaked it to the press following an argument with the beauty queen.
Weintraub continues, "(Peniche is) sorry that somebody has stolen these things and put them out. That’s the overall of it. Those are good friends of hers. It was in good fun and, unfortunately, now it’s public record."

Singing superstar CELINE DION has confirmed she is pregnant with her second child.
The Canadian star, 41, is already mum to eight-year-old Rene-Charles, her only child with husband Rene Angelil, 67.
The youngster was conceived after the couple underwent fertility treatment.
Dion and her husband are said to have employed the services of another team of fertility doctors in New York City to help the singer fulfil her dream of becoming a mother again, according to the Journal de Montreal.
A representative for the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker confirmed the news in a statement, insisting the singer is overjoyed to be expecting her second child.
The statement reads, "Celine and Rene are very happy. They are crazy in love over the news and they are overjoyed." Dion recently admitted she wanted to have another baby after she wrapped up her Taking Chances World Tour in February (09), telling talk show host Oprah Winfrey, "We are going to give it a try after my tour. Hopefully we (can get) pregnant again.
"I have a small window of hope. But we have been so blessed already. We tried six years for Rene-Charles. We have our miracle baby." Angelil, Dion’s former manager, has three children from two previous marriages.

Rapper 50 CENT has cancelled plans to perform a secret show in New York amid fears the concert would be marred by violence, according to the city’s mayor.
The In Da Club hitmaker was set to take the stage for Family Day on 30 August (09) for a "surprise" concert at a schoolyard in the borough of Queens, close to the Jamaica neighbourhood where he grew up and was nearly fatally shot in 2000.
Local authorities recruited an "army of cops" to shut down the area for the event - expected to draw 10,000 local residents - fearing violence would break out if a shooter took aim at the hip-hop star, according to the New York Post.
Earlier this week (begs17Aug09), 50 Cent’s publicist confirmed the rapper - real name Curtis Jackson - still planned to make an appearance despite growing concerns.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has now stepped in, assuring worried community members Jackson will definitely not be performing.
A statement from the mayor reads: "Our understanding after talking with 50 Cents (sic) is he has no plans to perform whatsoever. He might go, but he’s not going to perform."

ASHTON KUTCHER has left his mark on Las Vegas - the Hollywood actor has spray painted the roof of a Sin City hotel.
Kutcher was in town with his wife, Demi Moore, to celebrate his step-daughter, Rumer Willis’ 21st birthday over the weekend (15-16Aug09).
And the star made the most of his time in the gambling Mecca by teaming up with German artist NOMAD on Sunday (16Aug09) to "tag" the roof of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
The pair painted a large white outline of a slot machine with the words "Lucky Me".
But the devilish duo didn’t get into trouble over the stunt - they asked the hotel’s owners for permission first, according to People.com.
Kutcher boasted of his achievement in a post on his Twitter.com, telling fans, "Just tagged the roof of Planet Hollywood."

The executors of ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s estate have called in lawyers following allegations an escort service in Las Vegas has been handing out flyers branded with the late star’s image.
The legal team in charge of Smith’s affairs are fuming after they discovered a Nevada-based company has been allegedly using a topless picture of the star - who died of an accidental overdose in 2007 - to advertise their services.
The flyer shows an image of what looks like the late model - renamed Mandy on the promo - to advertise their "$25 special".
Ron Rale, the lawyer for Smith’s estate, tells TMZ.com, "Nobody is authorised to use Anna Nicole’s image, name or likeness without the appropriate consent from her estate. We will immediately look into this." While the star’s former boyfriend Larry Birkhead, the father of her daughter Dannielynn, adds, "This is highly inappropriate. This is going to be the most expensive trick this company has ever tried to pull. It’s definitely going to be worth more than $25 when it’s all said and done. It’s disrespectful."

LADY GAGA has vowed to tone down her trademark provocative outfits during her first visit to conservative Israel.

An American teenager’s dream has come true after he was officially inducted into THE SMASHING PUMPKINS as their new drummer.
Frontman Billy Corgan plucked 19-year-old Mike Byrne from obscurity to play with the band earlier this year (09) after the departure of percussionist Jimmy Chamberlin.
But the Oregon teen was forced to prove his worth before joining the group - he wrote on his MySpace.com page that he’d been brushing up his skills "at Pumpkin camp", while Corgan took to his own blog to reveal plans to "work with him some more before it comes official".
Now Byrne is ecstatic after being officially invited to become a Pumpkin and make his debut with the group on their next album.
He says, "I’m super excited to be playing with the band. Dream come true, man… I’ve always thought that Billy’s interpretation of music was a real fresh one." And Corgan is confident he picked the right man for the job, adding, "I’m excited to work with him moving forward - he truly deserves this opportunity. I believe in my heart he will push me to be a better musician."

AEROSMITH star JOE PERRY has conceded the band needs to start scaling back their live shows - because the ageing rockers are not as fit as they once were.
The Walk This Way hitmakers have been forced to scrap the rest of their summer tour after frontman Steven Tyler took a nasty tumble during a concert in South Dakota.
The 61-year-old singer fell off the stage during an energetic dance routine and his injuries forced the cancellation of their live dates.
Perry admits the group is often too ambitious when it comes to playing live and they need to start taking it easy as they near retirement age.
He says, "I think that the band has to look at what it takes to do this gracefully. There’s no reason why the band can’t keep playing until we can’t walk. There’s just no reason. You just have to know that you can’t do certain things anymore. You know, you can’t do somersaults on stage, you can’t swing from ropes. But there are other things you can do that are just as entertaining - like sing, play."

Veteran rocker BILLY JOEL is moving on from his relationship with KATIE LEE - he has put the two New York homes he once shared with his estranged wife on the market.
