AMY WINEHOUSE’s dad MITCH is fuming following the star’s return to the London party scene - and he blames her ex-husband, BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL.
The singer has endured a turbulent few years battling an addiction to narcotics and alcohol, which led to several hospitalisations and rehab attempts.
After a lengthy break in the Caribbean and the finalisation of her divorce from Fielder-Civil last month (Jul09), Mitch hoped his wayward daughter had overcome her troubles.
But Winehouse has promptly returned to the bars and pubs of London - and was photographed looking teary-eyed and tipsy after a night out in the British capital earlier this week (beg17Aug09).
A witness tells Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, "Everyone’s been saying that Amy’s on the mend, but her behaviour was very worrying. She didn’t seem to know what was going on and didn’t seem able to walk on her own. People were effectively holding her upright." A spokesperson admitted the star had "quite a few drinks" but denied she had been taking drugs.
But her father is furious with her latest antics, amid speculation Winehouse is considering a reunion with Fielder-Civil, who is currently in rehab to treat his own substance abuse problems.
Winehouse’s dad told a friend, "Seven months of good work is all unravelling because of Blake. What is he doing to her? Why can’t he leave her alone?"

PARIS HILTON has laughed off rumours she is engaged to on/off boyfriend DOUG REINHARDT after the pair enjoyed a romantic break together.
Hilton and The Hills star broke up earlier this summer (09) but recently reunited.
Reinhardt has since been treating the hotel heiress to expensive jewellery while on luxury holiday in Bora Bora, prompting reports he proposed to Hilton.
But Hilton has shrugged off the speculation, insisting the story was fabricated by the media.
Her spokesperson says, "The rumour of Paris Hilton’s engagement to Doug Reinhardt is inaccurate. The couple had a lovely time on their vacation and are happy together, however this is a false rumour and is just another example of bloggers inventing their own stories."

Country star WYNONNA JUDD called on a relative to help her win $50,000 (£33,300) for charity during a recent taping for an upcoming all-star edition of U.S. game show WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? - her aunt, MARGARET MANDELL.
The singer chose not to call her mum Naomi or clever actress sister Ashley, who is headed to Harvard University to study public administration, and asked her favourite aunt for help when she opted to use her ‘Phone-a-Friend’ lifeline on the show.
Judd won the cash for the Backpack Mission Ministries charity after figuring out a mathematical puzzle with her aunt.

SHANIA TWAIN has thanked her fans for their support following her marriage split - and promised to give them "a gift" on her 44th birthday later this month (Aug09).
The country singer ended her relationship with producer husband Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange in May 2008 when his affair with Twain’s former assistant and friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, was exposed in the press.
The star returned to her home in Switzerland with the couple’s eight-year-old son Eja D’Angelo and kept a low profile, but informed her fans in June (09) that she was "managing well".
Now Twain has recorded a video, posted on her website, to thank her devotees and announce a surprise is in store for them on 28 August.
In the footage, Twain says, "Hi everyone, Shania here. First to start off, thank you for all the beautiful birthday wishes for Eja’s birthday.

THE ENEMY’s guitarist ANDY HOPKINS has put the band’s performance at this weekend’s (22-23Aug09) V Festival in England in jeopardy after injuring himself in a drinking game.
The musician was in Hertfordshire, England on Wednesday (19Aug09) to take part in a celebrity golf tournament, which got out of hand when the group began playing a drinking game after the sun had gone down.
The rocker lost his balance while taking his turn putting on the wet grass in the dark, and injured himself when he slipped and smashed his heel.
The Brit was admitted to a hospital and is now walking around on crutches, sparking fears he may not appear at the outdoor music event.
Hopkins is the latest in a long line of musicians who have recently injured themselves - rockers Aerosmith have been forced to cancel summer (09) dates after singer Steven Tyler smashed his collarbone in a stage fall, rapper Drake had to pull out of mentor Lil Wayne’s tour after hurting his knee early last month (Jul09) and country singer Billy Currington and his bassist Alex Stevens were injured and hospitalised after a stage collapsed at a festival in Canada at the beginning of August (09).

Incarcerated music mogul PHIL SPECTOR is so terrified of the other inmates in jail - he has instructed his lawyers to get him moved to a "better prison." The 69-year-old producer was jailed in April (09) for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson and is currently serving a life sentence at Corcoran Prison in Los Angeles.
He is sharing the jail with cult murderer Charles Manson and Sirhan Sirhan, who shot U.S. politician Bobby Kennedy.
Spector is so scared the other inmates will harm him, he is refusing to leave his cell so he doesn’t have to mix with them at mealtimes.
The music legend described the "snake pit" jail in letters to his friend, musician/journalist Steve Escobar, writing, "Imagine sending me to the same prison - shows how low they can go. They’d kill you in here for a 39-cent bag of soup! I know it is a chance to get out of my cell going to the dining room but the less I see of the inmates, the better and safer I feel. Even though 24/7 lockdown in a 3′ by 7′ cell is very tough." And he reveals he is working with his lawyers to "get a better prison with people more like myself in it during the appeal process instead of all these lowlife scumbags, gangsters and Manson types…"

Secrets behind the BEATLES’ split are about to be laid bare in the pages of rock magazine Rolling Stone, thanks to unearthed interviews with an angry JOHN LENNON.
The Imagine singer sat down with Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner shortly after the Fab Four parted ways and revealed a few home truths about the real reasons behind the split - something the four former Beatles have rarely spoken about.
Wenner released the tapes for celebrated rock journalist Mikal Gilmore’s study on what tore the band apart, which appears in the upcoming issue of the publication.
The 1970 tapes have also been released to U.S. TV news show Entertainment Tonight, which aired Lennon’s comments on Wednesday (19Aug09).
Lennon can be heard telling Wenner, "We sold out… and I felt sick." He also takes aim at longtime songwriting partner Paul McCartney, stating, "We got fed up with being sidemen for Paul." Lennon suggests the Beatles break-up was a long time coming and the "music died" when they first hit the big time in the early 1960s, adding, "That’s why we never improved." And he was less than happy when his bandmates disrespected and "insulted" his wife Yoko Ono, adding, "They despised her… It seemed I had to be happily married to them or Yoko - and I chose Yoko." Lennon goes so far as to suggest that the Beatles’ most peaceful member, George Harrison, was the one who really drove wedge between Lennon and the band over his treatment of Ono.
He states, "George insulted her right to her face and I didn’t hit him, I don’t know why. Ringo (Starr) was alright but the other two really gave it to us. I’ll never forgive ‘em." Gilmore’s Why The Beatles Broke Up article appears in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone.

AMANDA SEYFRIED has compared Hollywood to high school - insisting some A-list celebrities behave just like vicious teenagers.
Seyfried made her film debut in 2004 movie Mean Girls alongside Lindsay Lohan - and she admits the actresses in Tinseltown are a lot like the catty girls in the film The Mamma Mia! star tells Allure magazine, "I liked Lindsay fine, but we were never friends… Hollywood is just like high school: The popular people love the other popular people. And the thing is, some people aren’t nice. Or they are nice, but only to your face, not elsewhere." And the 23 year old often feels insecure going up against beautiful women for film roles.
She adds, "I am surrounded by an industry full of beautiful actresses! They’re everywhere! I do my fair share of judging when I see certain women on the covers of magazines. I think, why is she on the cover?"

The BEATLES’ mind-bending animated movie YELLOW SUBMARINE is set for a big screen revamp, with movie mogul ROBERT ZEMECKIS at the helm.
The 1968 original was a big hit and the director plans to re-imagine the movie in the performance-capture 3-D digital production format he employed for upcoming film A Christmas Carol, in which Jim Carrey plays Scrooge as well as the three ghosts who haunt the literary miser.
The new Yellow Submarine, which will feature 16 Beatles hits, will hit cinemas during the summer of 2012, according to Daily Variety.
Disney will be the studio behind the project.

An American woman is suing TWILIGHT author STEPHENIE MEYER over allegations she stole ideas for the fourth novel in her vampire franchise.
Meyer was forced to defend herself earlier this month (Aug09) after Jordan Scott sent a cease and desist letter to the publishers of her 2008 novel Breaking Dawn, the fourth in the hit Twilight series, alleging it bears a "striking and substantial similarity" to Scott’s 2006 fantasy The Nocturne.
Meyer maintained the claims were "completely without merit" but Scott is now taking the matter to court, filing a lawsuit on Wednesday (19Aug09) seeking damages and to impound any Breaking Dawn copies up for sale.
In legal documents obtained by TMZ.com, Scott notes that the two texts "show striking, articulable and substantial similarities in the plot lines, themes, dialogue, mood, setting, pace, characters, sequence of events (and) ideas." And she even claims Breaking Dawn shows a "significant literary departure from (Meyer’s) early books" and appears to be "written by a teenager" - just as her novel does, as she began writing it at age 15.
Earlier this year (09), Meyer was hit with a plagiarism lawsuit from her former college roommate Heidi Stanton, who claimed the hit vampire books were based on a short story she wrote while both women studied at Brigham Young University, Utah.

TWILIGHT star ROBERT PATTINSON has fired back at tabloid reports he’s single and looking for love, insisting he never spoke to the newspaper quoting him.
The actor has constantly denied reports he is secretly dating co-star Kristen Stewart, but now he’s going after publications that report he’s a bachelor.
Britain’s The Mirror quoted Pattinson as stating, "I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t know why. You always think you’re going to get more girls after you’ve made a movie and it never happens. You sit there and you’re like ‘I’m a big movie star and I want to go out with some models’ but I don’t know why that doesn’t happen." He reportedly added, "It’s especially different in L.A. Most of the women there are actresses and by default that makes them a little bit nuts - not that that’s a bad thing. But I don’t really have a type. Whenever I get asked who my favourite celebrity crush is, I have no idea." But the British hunk insists he never spoke to the tabloid.
His publicist rages, "I will only comment on matters regarding Robert’s professional life, but in order to set the record straight, Robert did not speak to the Mirror, and their claim that they spoke to him a few days ago is manufactured along with any information that they claim to have as an exclusive directly from him."

CHARLIZE THERON is still amazed by the lack of Aids awareness in her native South Africa, where HIV-positive men believe they’ll be cured of the disease if they have sex with a young virgin.
The actress founded the Cape Town Rape Crisis Centre in 1999 in a bid to halt her homeland’s Aids epidemic, but a decade later there are still people who think they can find simple cures for the killer disease.
She says, "You have huge HIV numbers and nobody is educated on how you get HIV.
"Many think if they rape a child or virgin they will will be cured of the disease… It’s a problem where education and people are being naive, cultures that are very superstitious."

The longstanding feud between GEORGE CLOONEY and U.S. newsman BILL O’REILLY has been fired up again after the Fox News anchorman questioned reports that topless shots taken of a teenager at the actor’s Italian retreat have appeared in European magazines.
The two men first fell out when The O’Reilly Factor host questioned the handling of charity cash following Clooney’s post-9/11 telethon - and challenged the movie star to debate the issue on his show. Clooney refused.
Now, O’Reilly is questioning Clooney’s outrage over topless shots of a teen he claims were taken illegally by a paparazzo, and published, stating the pictures appear not to exist.
Last week (ends14Aug09), Clooney released a statement revealing his plans to sue the paparazzo he claimed scaled the walls of his Lake Como villa, and the magazines who published the shots of a young guest changing in her bedroom.
He raged, "We’re suing two magazines and a photographer. I don’t know about the law in the United States but in Italy it’s illegal for photographers to climb over my wall and to take long lens pictures of a 13-year-old girl in her bedroom. I draw the line of privacy at that." But O’Reilly went on air on Tuesday (18Aug09) and challenged the authenticity of the story.
He said, "Apparently those pictures were published in some magazines but the fact (is) you can’t find them, and that, in itself, is very strange."

British singer PATRICK WOLF has publicly apologised for exploding with fury onstage in Germany last week (13Aug09) after concert bosses cut short his set.
The musician was wrapping up his performance in Cologne when venue staff shut off the sound system and asked him to stop singing.
A riled Wolf yelled, "I come all the f**king way from London", and then urged his fans to "f**king ask for your money back".
Wolf then hurled his microphone, stand and a stool across the stage.
But now the star has released a statement on his blog apologising for his antics during the gig.
He writes, "I am very sorry that I became too much wolf on stage." He goes on to explain that he’d had a very long day without much sleep and had not been informed his set was to be cut short.
Wolf adds, "Being someone that thinks the audience comes before the industry, in my tired and promo overload tour brain, I took this as a demand for justice for the audience.
"I’m terribly sorry if anyone was upset by this display of closure on a show, but, as a human who works like a dog to keep myself in music during these hard times in the industry, I do have off days and bad moments like every other person in the world."

MOTLEY CRUE frontman VINCE NEIL has taken aim at rocker AXL ROSE for failing his GUNS N’ ROSES fans and bandmates.
The Girls, Girls, Girls singer claims he’s among the fans who were disappointed by the flop that was supposed to be Rose’s comeback album, Chinese Democracy in 2008 - and by the rock star’s decision to scrap tour dates.
Neil says, "For that (album) to fail was pretty crazy after so many years of being recorded." And the Motley Crue star is opening up about what he suggests is unprofessionalism on Rose’s part, adding, "A buddy of mine went to go play guitar for him. They rehearsed for three months and Axl never once turned up. Rule number one: show up! "He’s been doing that for many years. Finally I think the fans just went, ‘F**k it - can’t do this anymore.’ You can’t be a fan when you can’t see the band." KATY PERRY has spoken out about speculation LADY GAGA is a hermaphrodite - insisting the singer fuelled the rumours on purpose.
Internet footage of the Poker Face singer onstage earlier this year (09) sparked fresh debate as to whether or not the hitmaker has both female and male reproductive organs - because a bulge could clearly be seen.
Gossip website HollyScoop.com also reported that Gaga actually addressed the rumours of her sexuality with a blog entry at Christmas (08).
The website claims the singer wrote, "It’s not something that I’m ashamed of, just isn’t something that i go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but i consider myself a female." The singer has since slammed the rumours as "ridiculous", but Perry is convinced Lady GaGa purposefully made it look like she had a bulge in order to garner more publicity.
Perry has reportedly told Britain’s Mirror newspaper, "It’s all very calculated. She knows what she’s doing. She put something in her knickers, a mini strap-on (sex toy). Bless her if she does have a d**k, but I am certain she doesn’t."
