R&B star ASHANTI and rapper NELLY have reportedly called off their romance.
The hip-hop supercouple managed to keep their four-year romance secret until Nelly confirmed in November (08) they are in fact a couple.
Ashanti even admitted in March (09) that a wedding was "absolutely in the cards" for the pair.
But now the twosome has split amid claims the Hot in Herre rapper wasn’t ready to settle down with Ashanti, reports the New York Daily News.
The publication alleges Nelly has recently been spotted spending time with Canadian beauty Melyssa Ford, a model who has starred in music videos for R. Kelly and Usher.

Teen superstar MILEY CYRUS has fuelled speculation she’s dating LIAM HEMSWORTH after she was spotted kissing the actor at an airport this week (19Aug09).

TWILIGHT director CATHERINE HARDWICKE is swapping vampires for fearsome wolves - she is set to adapt classic fairytale LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD for the big screen.
The filmmaker helmed the first big screen outing of the phenomenally successful bloodsucking saga, which focuses on a teenage girl falling in love with a century-old vampire.
And Hardwicke is keen to sink her teeth into another fantasy tale by taking on The Girl With The Red Riding Hood - a retake on the original fairytale.
The adaptation also deals with a teenage love triangle - much like the Twilight books, in which a werewolf and a vampire vie for Bella Swan’s affections.
Bizarrely, Hardwicke was set to direct a band of wolves on New Moon before she was replaced by director Chris Weitz - the film focuses on a band of teens who transform into the beasts to battle vampires.

British actress CLAIRE FORLANI is facing a legal battle with an art dealer who alleges the star ruined his credibility.
The unnamed specialist alleges the Meet Joe Black actress destroyed his "fragile and intangible" reputation by making false claims about his business practices in a mass email to friends.
In his defamation lawsuit, the dealer has accused the Brit of writing an "almost 500-word poison-pen note" in which she allegedly claimed he sold her counterfeited works, passing them off as pieces by famed artists Keith Haring and William Claxton.
She was also said to have accused him of overcharging her for works by pop artist Andy Warhol.
He insists he is innocent of the claims, but has been so wronged that "only a very large damages judgment can begin to remedy" his bruised reputation, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.com.
A lawyer for Forlani says, "This lawsuit is absurd and totally without merit. We are very confident that the court will throw out the suit."

PENELOPE CRUZ has fuelled speculation she’s pregnant by announcing she wants to reduce the number of films she takes on.
The star adopted a strict work ethic as a young woman training to be a ballerina - and she carried that discipline into her acting career, refusing to take any time off for herself.
But she now feels ready to take time off to enjoy her life, and only agree to star in projects she feels are special.
She says, "It (working) was what I wanted to do. But now I feel differently. You get chronically tired. I don’t want to feel like that. Growing up, learning classical ballet is a very disciplined thing. A lot of my relationship to the world came from the years I danced.
"If your feet are bleeding you have to carry on dancing and smiling. You think it’s normal. Then you take that attitude to whatever your work is." Cruz’s admission comes amid reports she is expecting a baby with her boyfriend and Vicky Cristina Barcelona co-star Javier Bardem.
She says over the last two years she has created "a much better equilibrium between work and time for my life. I can rest, go travelling, have time to do nothing. Before I might take 15 days off in a year and try to leave my BlackBerry in my room to please my family.
"The turning point was when I realised I was measuring the years going by according to whatever the films were I was working on, the countries I was shooting in. I was a total workaholic. I think that’s what I needed to do then. Now I can work, but I’m not on movie sets the whole year. I can say no until there is something I really need to do."

MICHAEL JACKSON knew he was about to die, according to his alleged gay lover who has come forward reporting the pair was in a romantic relationship before the late star’s death.
Jason Pfeiffer, an executive working for Jackson’s dermatologist Arnold Klein, alleges he enjoyed a string of dates with the superstar during his final weeks - and they became more than close friends.
The 35 year old, who calls Jackson his "soulmate", was devastated when the King of Pop passed away earlier this year (09) - because the odd couple was just embarking on a very strange romance.
And Pfeiffer has revealed more mystery about the circumstances surrounding Jackson’s death from a cardiac arrest, revealing the superstar may have known he was about to die in the two weeks leading up to his passing.
He tells Woman’s Day magazine, "He completely changed in the final two weeks. He was overly religious, overly dramatic, exhausting and exhausted. He was saying goodbyes the week before passing. Everyone was creeped out by it.
"Michael got very retrospective in the last few weeks, he was talking about God and the Mayan calendar and the year 2012, which is when the Mayan calendar ends." Jackson fought off gay rumours for years before his death, insisting to those who dared to ask him about his sexuality that he simply wasn’t interested in intimacy - with anyone.
That said, he was married twice and fathered three children - although his biological links to the kids, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II, have often come into question.
Publicists for Jackson’s family have refused to comment on the latest gay allegations as WENN went to press.

A woman who was found guilty of peeping into BRITNEY SPEARS’ home has been sentenced to three years probation and 240 hours of community service.
Miranda Tozier-Robbins was arrested in April (09) after she was spotted by the singer’s security guards in the grounds of Spears’ Calabasas, California property, while the star was out of town on her Circus world tour.
The 26 year old, who claimed she was filming a documentary, was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct on Thursday (20Aug09).
She appeared in a Los Angeles court for her arraignment hearing in June (09), and pleaded not guilty to the crime.
But Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman Patricia Kelly revealed a judge in Malibu, California found her guilty of snooping on Spears’ property.
Tozier-Robbins was also ordered to keep away from the singer and her house.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS has become so close to his girlfriend’s mum he’s asked her to move into his new house in England with the couple.
The British singer has bought a $13.6 million (£8.5 million) property in Swindon and plans to move there full time with his American girlfriend of two years, 29-year-old Ayda Field.
The star has bonded with Field’s mum, Gwen, over games of poker and is hoping she will move over from America to spend time with his daughter while he’s busy promoting a new album.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, "Robbie has really hit it off with Ayda’s mum. One of his hobbies is playing poker with a small group of pals including his mate Jonathan Wilkes. Gwen has joined in a few times, and on a couple of occasions Robbie and Gwen have carried on playing into the (early) hours after everyone went to bed.
"Robbie’s new house is massive and it would be a lonely place to (be) on your own. But Ayda and Gwen will have a lot of fun together. There are tennis courts and a gym and some nice countryside. Plus there is completely separate accommodation so Gwen can have her privacy."

CAMERON DIAZ has been spotted enjoying a date with KEANU REEVES - a month after she was seen out with both LEONARDO DiCAPRIO and JUDE LAW on separate nights.

Keanu was laughing - it was strange to see him giggling like that as he’s regarded as a bit serious." The pair appeared together as lovers in 1996 film Feeling Minnesota.

Oscar-winning actor DENZEL WASHINGTON gave commuters in Tokyo a thrill on Thursday (20Aug09) - after taking command of a Japanese train station.
The star plays a train dispatcher forced to negotiate with hijacker John Travolta in movie remake Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, and he conducted traffic at the Kokuritsu Kyogijo station as a train departed mid-afternoon to promote the movie.
Commanding the airwaves Washington told passengers in Japanese, "The train is leaving now." However, the actor has laughed of the idea of switching careers, and admits he should have warned passengers before taking over. He says, "To be a train dispatcher for one day… Be very careful… if I’m in charge."

DEMI LOVATO’s career almost ended before it began - she was nearly crushed by children’s star BARNEY when she was eight.
The singer/actress started her career as one of the giant purple dinosaur’s sidekicks on hit show Barney & Friends.
She loved the experience, but it could have ended so differently.
Lovato, who celebrated her 17th birthday on Thursday (20Aug09), tells Starpulse.com, "We were shooting one day (and) I almost got trampled by it (Barney) because I wasn’t paying attention. And that was frightening because the suit’s extremely heavy."

Former DANITY KANE star AUBREY O’DAY seriously considered taking over TILA TEQUILA’s bisexual dating show A SHOT AT LOVE after she was kicked out of the band - because she wanted to find out which sex she preferred dating.
The sexy star admits she went for an interview with TV executives about the show, where men and women fight for an unlucky in love celebrity’s affections, the day after news broke of her departure from Danity Kane in 2007.
And she seriously considered signing up for the show.
She tells gay magazine Curve, "(I said) ‘I’m not in a relationship and I don’t know (if I) prefer one sex over the other at this point in my life’, and so, for me, I thought it was perfect." But O’Day turned the job down and instead started developing her own reality show, which will air soon.
She admits she’s still confused about her sexuality.
O’Day adds, "I just don’t know. I haven’t fallen in love with the person that has taken my heart and made me want to be a better person every day.
"I could be happy marrying a woman. I could be happy marrying a man… I have enjoyed the time that I’ve spent with a woman, but, you know, not everything was there and it wasn’t any one thing in particular, just that person. I’ve had amazing relationships with men but not everything was there. There was something missing.
"That’s another reason why I thought long and hard about A Shot At Love, because that would right away… put me as the television bisexual… I don’t even know that that is the case." O’Day admits she might even be partial to dating a transgender person after one recent encounter: "I fell in love with this woman. She was so amazing and my g-hub (gay friend) was like, ‘That (used to be) a man. She’s post-op…’ I was like, ‘Wow, I would never have known. And I would never have cared.’"

All charges against JAY-Z and BEYONCE’s bodyguard have been dropped after he was involved in an altercation with photographers.
The famous couple is currently on holiday in Dubrovnik, Croatia but a romantic evening out in the town on Tuesday (18Aug09) was marred when one of their minders tussled with snappers as he attempted to shield the pair from pictures.
Footage of the incident shows the bodyguard, named only as Julius, wrestling with snappers in an alleyway as the couple leaves a restaurant. Jay-Z is heard calling after him, "Let’s go, let’s go, don’t worry about it" and "stop stop stop".
Three photographers alleged Julius made threats, physically attacked them and damaged their property in an incident not seen on the short video.
The local authorities were investigating the claims, but the security guard will not face any further legal action, according to TMZ.com.
He will, however, have to pay an undisclosed fine over the incident.

Actor JERRY O’CONNELL became an object of fun for a group of drunk baseball fans after he asked them to stop ruining his pal GARY SINISE’s day at the ballpark.
The two stars were watching a game at the Dodgers stadium in Los Angeles when the fans recognised Sinise from Forrest Gump and started referring to him by his amputee character, Lieutenant Dan.
At first it was fun, but when the fans didn’t stop, O’Connell decided to do something about their behaviour - only to receive a backlash about his own 1986 movie.
He says, "I had to go up to the cheap seats and tell these guys to stop yelling ‘Lieutenant Dan!’ They sort of obliged a little bit… I get back to my seat and all they kept yelling was ‘Hey, it’s the fat kid from Stand By Me.’"

SOPRANOS star EDIE FALCO has finally accepted the hit mafia show is never coming back.
There have been rumours of a seventh season or a movie version of the show ever since the final episode aired back in 2007.
Falco, who played mob wife Carmela Soprano for eight years, has revealed she’d be willing to reprise the character - but she is now convinced series creator David Chase isn’t bringing it back.
Now starring in U.S. hospital drama Nurse Jackie, Falco reveals she finally said goodbye to The Sopranos the moment a fan addressed her using her new character’s name.
She says, "Somebody called me Nurse Jackie and I had a wave of sadness, like, ‘I guess it really is over now’. On some level I always thought we’d come back in a couple of years.
"I got attached to seeing (co-star) Jim Gandolfini and the kids."

Singer/actor TYRESE GIBSON’s lengthy divorce, property settlement and custody battle have been finalised.
The former model filed for divorce from his wife Norma in January (09), citing irreconcilable differences following 10 months of marriage.
Norma challenged Gibson’s petition and accused him of being a bad father to their two year old daughter Shayla.
She also requested a judge grant her some financial compensation, even though the union was so brief, because "(Gibson) earned roughly $800,000 (£567,375) during the 10 months of marriage".
Gibson was ordered to give a $65,000 (£46,000) divorce payout - even though Norma signed a pre-nuptial agreement to walk away without a settlement if they ever split.
According to court papers obtained by RadarOnline.com, a judge approved all terms of the divorce on Thursday (20Aug09).
The former couple will share custody of Shayla, with the Fast & The Furious star paying $6,230 (£3,894) a month in child support.
Gibson will also get to keep the Californian home he bought before he wed Norma, while their other assets and cars have been divided.

LINDSAY LOHAN is facing some tough romantic competition - pop singer and reality TV star AUBREY O’DAY is after her girl.
The former Danity Kane star has revealed she has a huge crush on DJ Samantha Ronson and believes the two would be "perfect together".
Speaking to gay magazine Curve, O’Day says, "Every time I see her (Ronson) I want to go over and talk to her, but it’s like she’s going to be like, ‘You’re that girl that tried to say you’re gay everywhere,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I promise - get to know me. We’d be perfect together.’" And she thinks she could give Ronson the romance she craves: "Lindsay and that relationship made it such a joke. It was just, like, on every cover, on every tabloid.
