MONTY PYTHON star JOHN CLEESE is bouncing back financially after he was forced to hand over a multi-million dollar pay out to his ex-wife - he reportedly earned $1 million (£666,000) for 23 minutes work on the latest SHREK movie.
Earlier this month (Aug09) the actor was ordered to give ex Alyce Faye Eichelberger $12 million (£8 million) in cash and assets - including a New York apartment, a London property, and a share in a beach house in California - on top of another $918,000 (£612,000) annually for the next seven years.
Cleese was fuming with the ruling, insisting the divorce settlement means his former wife is now richer than he is.
But it doesn’t seem as though the veteran British funnyman will be left desolate - he received $1 million (£666,000) for lending his voice to forthcoming Shrek Forever for under half an hour.
The star, who played King Herald in the earlier outings of the hit animated franchise, received the mammoth amount for just one scene.
A source tells Britain’s News of the World newspaper, "This is the ultimate sign that John can still make the big bucks."

LEANN RIMES has seemingly made her reported romance with TV co-star EDDIE CIBRIAN official - the pair stepped out together to attend a KINGS OF LEON gig in Los Angeles at the weekend (22/23Aug09).
The pair has been at the centre of fervid speculation they are an item after they were caught on camera kissing during an intimate dinner in California in March (09) while on a break from filming TV movie Northern Lights.
Rimes was accused of cheating on her husband, Dean Sheremet, while Cibrian - who has vehemently denied an affair - subsequently separated from his wife, Brandi Glanville.
The Blue singer is also rumoured to have split from Sheremet, her husband of seven years, but has yet to comment on the reports.
But despite the pair both insisting they are not a couple, they decided to face the world together by enjoying a date on Saturday (22Aug09) - their second in the space of a week.
They were snapped enjoying a game of golf in Valencia, California last week (begs17Aug09) - with Cibrian being pictured leaving Rimes’ home in Santa Monica, California on Thursday morning (20Aug09) after allegedly spending the night.

The U.S. reality TV contestant accused of the grizzly murder of his Playboy model ex-wife JASMINE FIORE has been found dead at a motel in Canada, according to reports.
Ryan Jenkins was charged with the murder of former Playmate Fiore last week (begs17Aug09), with Canadian authorities issuing an arrest warrant while an international manhunt was put into action after he disappeared.
The search for Jenkins, who appeared as a contestant on the VH1 reality show Megan Wants a Millionaire, was stepped up after it was discovered that her "fingers had been cut off, and all of her teeth had been forcibly removed".
Fiore’s body was found dumped in a Buena Park, California trash bin earlier this month (Aug09).
Now, police believe they have found the body of Jenkins at a hotel in British Columbia, just outside Vancouver. It is thought he committed suicide.
Jenkins, who was a real estate mogul, was believed to have fled the area after his boat was found in a marina near the border south of Vancouver.
He wed Fiore in March (09), but the couple split after Jenkins allegedly struck the model at a hotel in Las Vegas.
In June (09), he was charged with battery constituting domestic violence. The pair’s marriage was annulled earlier this summer (09).

SLASH and JOHN MAYER turned ZZ TOP’s Friday night (21Aug09) show in Hollywood into a star-studded affair when the two modern guitar greats joined the Texas trio onstage.
The group was forced to hastily arrange shows after an injury to Steven Tyler forced Aerosmith to pull the plug on the bands’ joint summer tour and they picked two House of Blues venues in California to kickstart their own line of dates.
And, at the venue in Hollywood on Friday night, the trio rocked out with a couple of famous fans.
Slash and Mayer joined the band for rendition of classics La Grange and Tush.

Former child pop singer-turned-reality TV star AARON CARTER is on the hunt for an older woman - and JENNIFER ANISTON is at the top of his lust list.
The I Want Candy singer, 21, who was briefly engaged to Kari Ann Peniche - the former beauty queen involved in Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart’s naked romp videotape - insists he’s currently single and he wants his next partner to be a woman of substance.
He says, "I don’t any trashy girls… I gotta be with an older, more mature girl, who’s not insecure… Age is just a number.
"Jennifer Aniston would be great, I would love that. That would be amazing… Just think about our kids!" At 40, Aniston is almost double Carter’s age.

A British doctor who turned a job offer from MICHAEL JACKSON down has handed over drug boxes she found in the King of Pop’s hotel bathroom in London to Los Angeles police.
The pop star tried to hire Dr. Susan Etok as his personal physician just before announcing his comeback shows in London earlier this year (09) - but she insists his need for questionable drugs like Diprivan forced her to turn down the offer.
During a top secret meeting with the "frail" King of Pop at the Lanesborough Hotel in London, Dr. Etok was so worried about Jackson’s wellbeing she visited his bathroom and collected empty prescription boxes of all the medications he was taking.
She tells U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight that Jackson looked "pasted together" and she feared he had "given up" - and was now relying on drug cocktails to keep him alive.
After Jackson’s death on 25 June (09), reportedly caused by an overdose of an anaesthetic drug like Diprivan, Dr. Etok flew to Los Angeles and handed over her findings to police.
Etok says, "I’ve given them to the LAPD. They (pill boxes) are in police possession at the moment.
"There’s one drug called sertraline… and then there was another drug which I think they worked out to be (anti-depressant) Paxil." And the doctor, who is also helping police build a list of international medics who may have been aiding Jackson’s drug use problem, reveals the pop star’s hotel suite bathroom looked like a pharmacy, with "stacks of different medicines," syringes and surgical masks and gloves.
She adds, "It was just crazy… I thought, ‘What is he doing with all of this?’ So I took some of these medications and I took them home and I looked them up… and I thought, ‘Nah, this is not right.’"

Former PINK FLOYD star ROGER WATERS has narrated a new short film on the plight of Palestinians living in the shadow of Israel’s controversial separation barrier.
The film, Walled Horizons, debuted at a United Nations function last week (19Aug09).
The 15-minute film was made in honour of the fifth anniversary of the International Court of Justice’s opinion that the barrier’s meandering route through the occupied West Bank is illegal.
Roger Waters wants the West Bank security barrier torn down, saying it was built on Palestinian land and is an obstacle to peace.
In an interview on Israel Radio, the rocker says, "What a lot of people don’t understand… because of the sketchy news reports… is just how many Israelis are prepared to compromise and make peace with their neighbours… They would accept the resettlement of people who moved into the West Bank." According to TheRockRadio.com, the film was shot in 2006 when Waters performed in Israel.

Longtime OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist ZAKK WYLDE is recovering after a medical emergency to remove a blood clot.
The Black Label Society rocker was taken to hospital after a concert in Montana on 19 August (09).
Wylde was due to return to hospital over the weekend to receive further treatment.
No further details have been released, but Wylde has posted a picture of himself in his hospital bed on his Twitter.com blog.

LADY GAGA has apologised to fans at a British music festival after she was forced to make an early exit during her set on Saturday (22Aug09).
The pop star kept the crowd waiting as she was 15 minutes late to kick off her gig at the V Festival in Stafford, England and when the singer finally took to the stage, the audience went wild as she screamed, "England!" and launched into her hit Paparazzi.
She then said, "My name is Lady GaGa, I’ve been so excited to play V," before improvising a song about the U.K.
Later, she changed into a diamond-studded outfit and took a seat at a silver piano to pay tribute to her loyal following, announcing, "I live for nothing more than my fans, you guys are the f**king coolest fans on the planet." But things started to go wrong when thousands more fans than expected flocked to see her performance - pushing security personnel to the limit.
The crowd swelled to such dangerous levels that officials were forced to drag many revellers from the crowd to prevent them from being crushed - with one girl fainting and six others receiving treatment for minor injuries.
And things turned nasty as the singer faced an onslaught of boos when she announced she had to cut short her track Poker Face, apologising to the crowd: "I’m so sorry, but I have to go. I’m so sorry, but I love you so much." The 23 year old later took to her Twitter.com page to explain the error.
She wrote, "Stage manager pulled the plug because I was 5 minutes over my time at V fest. Show was incredible. A shame people have no respect for music.
"My fans were lovely and really deserved to hear pokerface (sic). I love you and I’m sorry." The cut-performance wasn’t the only thing that went wrong during Lady GaGa’s set - her heel snapped off her stiletto mid-way through a dance routine, prompting the star to demand a new pair of heels and throwing the broken pair into the crowd.

BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA and the film’s star MANOLO CARDONA picked up leading awards at the 24th annual Imagen Awards in Beverly Hills on Friday (21Aug09).
The film was named Top Movie and Cardona took home the Best Supporting Actor trophy at the prizegiving, which salutes Latino culture in Hollywood.
Luis Guzman was named Best Actor for his portrayal of an unfaithful husband in Maldeamores. Carlitos Ruiz picked up the Best Director award for the same film.
Other winners included Ugly Betty co-stars America Ferrera and Ana Ortiz, who claimed the nights Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress accolades.

THE HILLS star HEIDI MONTAG is planning another trip to the cosmetic surgeon for a second breast implant operation.
The newlywed reality beauty famously underwent a breast enhancement in 2007 and now she wants to have another procedure because she feels her active lifestyle has prompted her boobs to shrink.
Montag, who recently stripped for Playboy magazine, tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "They’re not as big as they used to be… I dance a lot, I ride around a lot, I workout a lot; I don’t know what happened.
"They’re the best things I’ve ever had, I’m so excited about them every day and I think I want bigger (breasts)."

A new reality TV show featuring a man wanted for the gruesome murder of his model wife may be shelved indefinitely.
Ryan Jenkins made it through as a contestant on VH1 show I Love Money 3 and he participated in the shooting the series.
Jenkins is now believed to be on the run from police in his native Canada after a warrant was issued for his arrest following the murder of his wife Jasmine Fiore, a one-time Playboy Playmate.
Fiore was strangled and her remains were dumped in a suitcase and thrown in a trash can in Buena Park, California earlier this month (Aug09). Her killer removed her fingers and teeth in an effort to slow down the tragic model’s identification.
Police identified the murdered woman as Fiore from the silicon in her enhanced breasts.
The killing has made headline news in America and VH1 bosses are considering remaking the third season on I Love Money, so as not to include the fugitive.
Megan Wants a Millionaire, another VH1 reality show featuring Jenkins, was yanked from the schedule last week (ends21Aug09) as the murder details were released.

Disgraced country star-turned-reality TV star MINDY MCCREADY has hit back at reports she leaked a private naked romp tape featuring Hollywood couple ERIC DANE and REBECCA GAYHEART online.
Reports have suggested McCready stole the hard drive from former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche, who also appears naked in the threesome footage, when the pair was roommates on reality TV show Celebrity Rehab.
But McCready is firing back, blaming Peniche for spreading vicious gossip about her.
She tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "I did not want to be dragged into all this. I did not want to be a part of this." McCready denies leaking the tape, which is now at the centre of a police investigation, and she suggests Peniche is the one behind the scandal, adding, "She is evil personified, she is evil in human form. She will hurt anyone she can to make money." But in an upcoming interview with E! News, which is set to air on Monday (24Aug09), Peniche also denies leaking the footage, insisting she had no knowledge of it until Dane called her last week (beg17Aug09).
She says, "I got a call from Eric, obviously upset… I was like, ‘I should go home and check.’ If I was going to leak it, I would have done that a long time ago." Peniche, who was briefly engaged to pop star Aaron Carter, insists she is not part of the police investigation into alleged possible illegal activity: "Nobody raided my house; I haven’t had any contact with LAPD." The trio involved in the footage and their lawyers have been keen to point out the leaked romp is not a sex tape, but a "naked tape".
The footage shows the naked threesome having fun at home, joking about porn star names. It also features Gayheart and Peniche sharing a bath together as Dane plays cameraman.

TWILIGHT stars KRISTEN STEWART and ROBERT PATTINSON will struggle to deny their relationship for much longer if latest reports are true - they are said to be moving in together.
Pattinson and screen beauty Stewart have been at the centre of speculation they are dating in real life since the release of the vampire blockbuster last year, but both have constantly denied the allegations.

BRAD PITT is back at the top of the U.S. box office as a vengeful World War Two soldier.
Inglourious Basterds, his first collaboration with Quentin Tarantino raked in $37.6 million (£25 million) over the weekend to claim the top spot, more than doubling it’s closest competition, sci-fi drama District 9.
The new film, in which Pitt leads a group of Jewish-American Nazi killers, has made $65.1 million (£43.4 million) at the worldwide box office.
Tarantino’s longtime pal and Grind House collaborator Robert Rodriguez also jumped into the top in the U.S. 10 with a new release - his family film Shorts debuted at six with $6.6 million (£4.4 million).

MICHAEL JACKSON’s former friend and biographer J. RANDY TARABORRELLI insists the King of Pop’s personal physician should not be held accountable for the singer’s death - because he was just trying to help a struggling 50 year old.
Reports suggest police in Los Angeles are trying to build a case for manslaughter against Dr. Conrad Murray, who was staying with Jackson in the days leading up to his death on 25 June (09).
Jackson reportedly died of a cardiac arrest following an overdose of an anaesthetic he used to help him get to sleep. Full details of the toxicology report carried out on the singer’s remains have been put on hold to allow the authorities to conclude their investigation.
Some reports suggest Dr. Murray will be charged by the end of the month, but officials at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office insist that’s not true.
Whatever happens, Taraborrelli feels Dr. Murray should not be blamed for Jackson’s death.
In an exclusive interview with ABC News, the respected Jackson insider says, "He (Jackson) had the burn on the back of his head (from a Pepsi commercial pyrotechnics malfunction) that never really healed, he had a lot of bad plastic surgery that was causing a lot of problems, he had arthritic problems in his knees and he could not sleep.
"I remember Michael complaining about not being able to sleep as far back as 1993… This was out of control.
"There has been a lot of Dr. Murrays in Michael Jackson’s life, a lot… While it’s easy to want to indict these men, and especially Dr. Murray, I think that it’s also easy to understand that no one wanted to see Michael Jackson suffer, no one wanted to see this man live the kind of tortured life that he was living.
"People wanted to help him and I think that in the end they didn’t go about it (in) the right way."

LINDSAY LOHAN’s Hollywood Hills home has been hit by burglars who made off with designer gear, cash and jewellery.
City police are investigating the break-in, which was reported by her father early on Sunday (23Aug09).
It’s the second time thieves have targeted the star’s home - back in May (09), surveillance cameras caught burglars attempting to raid Lohan’s home. They left empty handed.
Lohan’s father Michael called the police after his 23-year-old daughter reportedly called him in tears upon returning home from a friend’s party to find her home wrecked.
And now he’s heading to Los Angeles in an effort to help police find the people behind the burglary and attempted burglaries at the actress’ home.
He tells WENN he’s sick of stories about how his daughter’s home has become a target for thieves - and intends to catch the culprits.
He rages, "I’m coming to L.A. to get to bottom of this. This time they (burglars) will be caught. I have had enough of people lying, twisting things and violating my family, then getting away with it." The Mean Girls star’s mother Dina reports a safe was ripped out of the wall in the weekend burglary, and the door was "off the hinges and door handles removed".
She adds, "Bags, shoes and jewellery were taken. Thank God she wasn’t home."

The British doctor MICHAEL JACKSON tried to hire as his personal physician has confirmed reports former child star MARK LESTER donated his sperm to the King of Pop as he tried for a second child.
Oliver! star Lester recently went public with claims he could be the biological father of Jackson’s daughter Paris - because he handed over his semen to his pop star pal in the year leading up to the 11 year old’s birth.
Lester flew to America with his 15-year-old daughter Harriet last week (ends21Aug09) to show off the resemblance between her and Paris.
And now Dr. Susan Etok, a longtime consultant to Jackson, has backed up his story, telling news show Entertainment Tonight he was among the sperm donors Michael used to impregnate his second wife Debbie Rowe.
Etok says, "Michael really like the fact that he (Lester) had good genes." Despite ongoing speculation, Jackson repeatedly dismissed reports he was not the biological father of all three of his kids; Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II.
But Lester told America’s Today show, "Michael was very shy when it came to women and he confided in me that he had found it very difficult to do the sexual act. I just jokingly said, ‘Well look, Michael, if you don’t wanna do it, maybe I’ll do it for you.’"
