WILLIAMS TO PLAY BOYLE IN MOVIE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:48 pm

Funnyman ROBIN WILLIAMS has been asked to play Scottish singing sensation SUSAN BOYLE in a movie about her life.
Boyle shot to international fame after appearing on U.K. TV programme Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year (09), counting the likes of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore among her fans.
Movie executives are planning a film detailing her rise to stardom - and they want Williams, who previously dressed as a woman in 1993’s Mrs. Doubtfire, to play the starring role.
And the actor, who is an avid Boyle fan, has already been practising his impressions of her by singing her audition song I Dreamed A Dream to his celebrity friends.
He says, "I’ve been asked if I want to play Susan in the movie. I think she’s incredible. That clip of her singing on Britain’s Got Talent was extraordinary. So inspiring. It was quite a shock when she began to sing. I saw some other clip of her singing Cry Me A River a few years ago. It was incredible. She’s got a really great voice."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:45 pm

GWYNETH PALTROW and her husband CHRIS MARTIN have taken home improvements to the next level - the couple is knocking two London townhouses together to create their ultimate dream home.
Paltrow and Martin bought the house beside their luxurious residence in the British capital in 2007 and have now been granted permission from local authorities to knock the two multi-million dollar properties together to create an $11.2 million (£7 million) superhouse with 33 rooms.
They are following in the footsteps of their close pal Madonna, who purchased the property next door to her London home and converted it into a gym. But the pop superstar was denied permission from local authorities to connect the two houses.
Work has now begun on co-joining Paltrow and Martin’s two homes, which will give them an additional eight rooms on the lower ground floor, six on the upper ground, five on the first floor and eight on the second floor.
Plans obtained from the local council also show the pair aim to create a two-storey extension to give them even more space, and a slide in the garden for their two children, Apple, five, and Moses, three The couple married in 2003 and own homes around the world, but consider London their main base.

GAGA HAS BULLET-PROOF PIANO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:45 pm

LADY GAGA’s extravagant stage set is so heavy her piano is bullet-proof, according to THE STREETS star MIKE SKINNER.
The British rapper’s backstage trailer at the U.K.’s V Festival was opposite the Just Dance hitmaker’s - and he was stunned by the amount of equipment she takes on tour.
He says, "They have a lot of audio going on. I respect that. I think she has probably spent about four times the amount she has been paid to do this (show) on her set. I respect that absolute disregard for any financial sense. I think it’s beautiful.
"She has got four Vespa scooters. And her piano is bullet-proof. Honestly, on my mother’s life. Her piano is bullet-proof. We found out from her stage manager."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:45 pm

When the show was axed in 2002, Anderson launched a stage career in London’s West End but was lured back to shoot 2008 movie The X Files: I Want to Believe.
And the star is adamant she is happy to continue in the role that made her famous, despite rumours she is trying to distance herself from the show.

SCHNEIDER THANKS SANDLER FOR SUPPORT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:42 pm

ROB SCHNEIDER is eternally grateful to actor pal ADAM SANDLER because he was so kind to him during his divorce.
The pair both began their careers as stand-up comics and Schneider has gone on to appear in every one of Sandler’s films.
Schneider admits he will never resent his friend’s success because the star helped him deal with his split from London King in 1990.
He says, "I’m happy that he’s had this wild success because no one has ever been kinder to me. When I was going through my divorce and being reclusive, he was the one guy who reached out and refused to let me just crawl into my cave. He would call me all the time to check up on me. I’ve never had that kind of kindness from another guy, outside my dad."

SWINTON’S HUSBAND DENIES LIVING ARRANGEMENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:39 pm

TILDA SWINTON’s estranged husband has denied rumours he shares a home with the actress and her toyboy lover.
The Oscar winner has 11-year-old twins with playwright John Byrne, 68, but has been enjoying a romance with boyfriend Sandro Kopp, 18 years her junior, for the last few years.
Swinton attracted attention to her unconventional domestic life when she took Kopp along as her date to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards in London last year (08), leaving Byrne at home in Scotland to look after the kids.
It has been widely reported the pair has unusual living arrangements by sharing their family home with Kopp and inviting Byrne’s girlfriend over to stay as well.
But the playwright has revealed he lives with partner Jeanine Davies in Scotland near his estranged wife - not under the same roof.
He says, "I’ve been painted as a benign eccentric who is living there while some guy is sh*****g his sweetheart. Neither of us would have any truck with anything remotely like that."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:36 am

PITT & JOLIE HAVE ‘TOO MUCH BAGGAGE’ FOR BIG SCREEN COLLABORATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:33 am

BRAD PITT has no plans to team up with his partner ANGELINA JOLIE on the big screen again - because they have too much "baggage".
Hollywood’s hottest couple fell in love after appearing in Mr & Mrs Smith together in 2005, while the hunk was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
Since then, they have set up home together and have six children; three adopted tots and three biological kids.
But despite the fact they could spend more time together on-set of a shared venture, Pitt insists he wouldn’t be too keen on jumping into another film with his real-life lover.
He explains, "It would be tricky for us to work together because so much baggage comes with it.
"We would have to be really precise on what that would be but we are certainly open to the idea.
"You’re always looking for something a little different to what you’ve done before. I’m just looking for a new challenge, a new story. I can’t define it much more than that."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:33 am

British rocker PETE DOHERTY’s set at U.K. music festival V turned sour after the sound was turned off by organisers when he went over his allocated time slot.

He stormed off stage after saying sorry to revellers.
But fans turned on the festival’s organisers for the interruption, and began pelting the stage with glasses and bottles in a bid to show their disappointment - and began chanting the star’s name for 15 minutes.
It wasn’t the first time an act was plunged into silence at the weekend (22/23Aug09) event - fans turned nasty after Lady Gaga was forced to abandon her song Poker Face after she overran her stage time schedule.
