Movie executives at Twentieth Century Fox have sent bosses of adult film studio New Sensations a cease and desist missive after learning they’ve completed filming of a sexy new X-FILES porn spoof.
The X-Files: A Dark XXX Parody is now in post-production, but the steamy X-rated DVD, which features a stunning Gillian Anderson lookalike, will never be released if film chiefs get their way.
In the letter, a representative from Fox demands that New Sensations change the title of the film and cease using any X-Files trademarks.
Defiant porn bosses insist their intended product does not infringe the rights of Fox, and they plan to change the name of their parody to The Sex Files: A Dark XXX Parody.
It’s not the first parody of a TV hit the studio has attempted - New Sensations is also the firm behind porn spoofs of The Office, Scrubs, Seinfeld and Friends among others.

U.K. broadcaster the BBC has fallen foul of Britain’s media watchdog after Hollywood legend TONY CURTIS swore throughout a live radio interview earlier this year (May09).
Broadcasting rulemaker Ofcom has warned BBC Radio Ulster in Northern Ireland to clean up its act after it failed to stick to decency rules with the expletive-strewn chat with the Some Like It Hot star.
Curtis was being interviewed for the station’s afternoon Talkback programme, and swore throughout the feature, which prompted two complaints from listeners.
The BBC insist Curtis apologised profusely after he realised the show was not pre-recorded.
But despite the apology - Ofcom have warned the broadcaster to fully brief its guests on what they are allowed to say before going live.
Ofcom states that the profanities used were "likely to have gone beyond the expectations of the audience for a programme of this type and at this time".

Jailed Wall Street fraudster BERNARD MADOFF is not dying of cancer, according to a representative for the U.S. prison system.
The disgraced financier was sentenced to 150 years in jail in June (09) after he pleaded guilty to siphoning billions of dollars from his wealthy clients, including Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, John Malkovich and Zsa Zsa Gabor.
He is currently serving his time in Butner, North Carolina and was alleged to have taken full responsibility for the scheme as he knew he was suffering from advanced cancer.
A source told the New York Post that Madoff had to take "20 pills a day" to battle the effects of the disease, adding that "he’s not doing very well".
But officials at America’s Prison Bureau insist the article is "full of inaccuracies" and Madoff is not battling the illness.
A representative says in a statement, "We can tell you that Bernie Madoff is not terminally ill and has not been diagnosed with cancer."

The details of the drugs MICHAEL JACKSON took in a desperate effort to get to sleep on the night before his death are "absolutely horrendous," according to the tragic singer’s close friend MARK LESTER.
An unsealed search warrant affidavit, obtained by the Los Angeles Times in Texas, lists the timeline of events throughout the morning of 25 June (09) - the day Jackson died.
In the documents, the King of Pop’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, reveals he gave Jackson Valium at 1.30am on the morning of his death and when that failed to relax the pop star, he injected Lorazepam intravenously at 2am and administered Midazolam an hour later. He gave him 25 milligrams of Propofol at 10.40am.
Jackson reportedly died minutes later after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Former child star Lester, who recently hit the headlines with claims he donated sperm to Jackson and now believes the singer’s daughter Paris is his biological offspring, insists his friend didn’t need such a cocktail of anaesthetics and sedatives and his doctor should have known better.
Talking to U.S. news network MSNBC on Monday (24Aug09), Lester said, "I was very close to Michael… and I knew there was absolutely nothing wrong with Michael… I just find it absolutely horrendous.
"Questions obviously have to be asked - why would he (Dr. Murray) use these kinds of medications? It is just ridiculous when maybe a couple of sleeping tablets would have done the trick… This is like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.
"I know that Michael had problems with sleeping from time to time but I was never aware of his use of medication whatsoever." Reports suggest the Los Angeles Coroner will rule Jackson’s death a homicide, suggesting someone else was responsible for the tragedy.
A statement from the Jackson family, shortly after the unsealed affidavit details were released on Monday (24Aug09), reads, "The Jackson family has full confidence in the legal process, and commends the ongoing efforts of the L.A. County Coroner, the L.A. District Attorney and the L.A. Police Department. The family looks forward to the day that justice can be served."

BRITNEY SPEARS’ ex-boyfriend, paparazzo ADNAN GHALIB, has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a process server.
Ghalib is accused of running over Ram Moskowitz as he tried to hand the photographer legal papers as part of the Toxic superstar’s conservatorship case in 2008.
The snapper is facing felony assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit and run charges.
He is due back in court in Van Nuys, California on 29 September (09).
Ghalib faces seven years behind bars if he’s found guilty.

R.E.M.’s Irish warm-up shows for their last tour are to be released as part of a new double album/DVD package.
The group played five sold-out shows at the Olympia in Dublin in 2007 before embarking on their Accelerate tour and now the best performances will feature on Live At The Olympia, which will be released on 27 October (09).
R.E.M.’s Peter Buck calls the pre-tour warm-up shows an "experiment in terror," but he’s thrilled they worked out: "We were just trying to do something we hadn’t done before, which meant there was no relaxing during the set. Every second we were playing something we didn’t know all that well. Which was kind of good. There were all kinds of terror elements going on during that show."

Rapper JAY-Z will commemorate the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on New York City by performing at Madison Square Garden.
The date also coincides with the release of his new album The Blueprint 3.
The New York Times reports the concert will raise money for the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund, a charity created to support the families of police officers and firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

Former KISS star VINNIE VINCENT is suing the band for reportedly using his image without permission.
Vincent claims his image was used in Kiss’ Kissology: Volume 2 1978-1992 box set and again as part of an episode of bass player Gene Simmons’ reality TV show Gene Simmons Family Jewels.
Vincent, real name Vincent Cusano, was a member of the band from 1982 to 1984. He is seeking unspecified damages, according to TMZ.com.

Concerns for the health of SLIPKNOT drummer JOEY JORDISON have been heightened following the band’s decision to scrap all upcoming shows in August and September (09).
The band pulled out of Saturday’s (22Aug09) Pain In The Grass festival in Washington and a second show on Sunday (23Aug09) after Jordison was hospitalised with a "severe medical emergency".
Details are still sketchy about his condition, but the band has decided there’s no point in rushing the drummer back to the stage and they’ve cancelled all shows.
One headlining spot at a festival in the band’s native Iowa had already been pulled.
The band cancelled a string of European festival appearances last year (08) after Jordison broke his ankle.

Former boxing champion JOE CALZAGHE is the latest star set to show off his fancy footwork on the latest series of U.K. talent contest STRICTLY COME DANCING.
The undefeated Welsh fighter announced his retirement earlier this year (09) and his father/trainer Enzo Calzaghe has confirmed his son will now step into the spotlight for the BBC series.

Actress MELANIE GRIFFITH has checked into rehab in Utah for undisclosed issues.
The 52-year-old actress is seeking treatment at the Cirque Lodge, where actresses Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan have both spent time in recent years.
Griffith’s representative Robin Baum tells Star magazine, "She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy. This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago." Sources tell the tabloid that the star, who is married to Spanish actor Antonio Banderas, turned to rehab after losing her longtime battle with alcohol.
An insider is quoted saying, "She’s working with the counsellors on getting control of her demons. The reason Melanie checked in was her husband was demanding that she get clean and sober." Another source tells the Star, "Melanie’s struggling right now, but Antonio has been checking in on her as much as he is allowed, making sure she gets back on her feet." Griffith battled drink and drugs in the 1970s and 80s, and spent time in rehab in 1998 and again in 2000 in an effort to kick an addiction to prescription painkillers.

Lethal levels of powerful anaesthetic propofol were found in MICHAEL JACKSON’s body at the time of his death, according to an unsealed search warrant affidavit.
The news is the first to come from recent findings by officials at the Los Angeles County Coroners office, which have been sealed until now while police continue their investigations into the King of Pop’s death.
According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper the affidavit was unsealed on Monday (24Aug09) in Houston, Texas, where a storage facility belonging to the pop star’s doctor Conrad Murray was raided by police last month (Jul09).
In the search warrant documents, Murray tells LAPD detectives he had been treating Jackson for insomnia for six weeks before the singer’s death, and he had been giving Jackson 50 milligrams of propofol every night using an intravenous line.
The doctor also claims he was trying to wean his famous patient off the drug and had lowered the dosage to 25 milligrams and mixed it with other sedatives.
He states that on 23 June (09) - two days before Jackson’s death - he administered two replacement medications and withheld the propofol.
In the newly-unsealed affidavit, Dr. Murray reveals he gave Jackson valium at 1.30am on the morning of his death and when that failed to relax the pop star, he injected lorazepam intravenously at 2am and administered midazolam an hour later. He gave him 25 milligrams of propofol at 10.40am.
Jackson reportedly died later that morning after suffering a cardiac arrest.
In the affidavit, obtained by the Times, Dr. Murray confirms reports he left Michael Jackson alone under the influence of the medication to make telephone calls. Upon his return to Jackson’s bedroom he found the pop star unconscious.

LINDSAY LOHAN’s estranged parents are joining forces in a bid to hunt down the thieves who are making their daughter’s life a misery.
The actress’ Hollywood Hills home was burgled over the weekend (22-23Aug09) and her father Michael is jetting to Los Angeles to help police catch the men behind the break-in.
Speaking to WENN, he hints at the fact he knows who is behind the latest raid - suggesting the intruders, who stole jewellery, cash and designer items, have targeted his daughter’s home in the past.
Michael Lohan says, "I am coming into town to work with private investigators in order to gather evidence which will be turned over to LAPD and the detectives assigned to the case.
"This time, these evil doers will be caught. If we are fortunate, we just might find out who the culprits were from the other thefts as well.
"My children are not going to be subject to violations of this, or any kind, any longer. They always give to others, and it seems some of these very individuals are the ones behind these crimes.
"Dina (ex-wife) and I are finished with this nonsense."

ALEC BALDWIN has pulled out of a proposed political battle with former U.S. Vice-President candidate JOE LIEBERMAN, insisting he no longer plans to run against the Connecticut Senator in the 2012 election.
The actor, a fervent Democrat, recently admitted in a Playboy interview that he was toying with the idea of challenging Independent Lieberman.
He stated, "I have sometimes thought I could move to New Jersey or Connecticut and run. I’d love to run against Joe Lieberman. I have no use for him." But, after the Senator responded to Baldwin’s comments and stated he "respected" the Pearl Harbor star as "an actor and as a comedian," and welcomed his bid to run against him, Baldwin, it seems, is happy to let Lieberman fight with others.
On his blog, Baldwin writes, "I am not moving to Connecticut to run against Joe Lieberman. As much as I think Lieberman is an enormous letdown to the party that gave him their nomination for Vice President, I am sure that Democratic Party leaders in that state will take care of themselves." Lieberman was a longtime Democrat before switching his political affiliation to Independent in 2006.

MICHAEL JACKSON’s former spiritual advisor has come forward with new taped conversations in which the King of Pop revealed he was terrified of his chief aide, Dr. Tohme Tohme.
The mysterious Tohme appeared to be in charge of Jackson’s affairs in recent years and is believed to be the mastermind behind the late pop superstar’s ill-fated comeback shows in London.
But Jacko’s spiritual guru June Gatlin has now revealed her client was scared of his manager - and he agreed to be taped talking about his relationship with Tohme.
Gatlin says, "He was afraid of who this man is, afraid of whatever this man may be capable of doing… He had taken over Michael’s complete life." The advisor has handed over the tapes she recorded of phone conversations with Jackson in September 2008 to NBC News in America.
On the tapes, the King of Pop can be heard telling Gatlin, "This guy, he just… has ways about him… There’s a divide between me and my representatives and I don’t talk to my lawyer, my accountant. I talk to him and he talks to them.
"I don’t like it. I wanna get somebody in there with him that I know and can trust. I don’t know what’s in my accounts." Gatlin advised Jackson to investigate his manager.
She tells NBC, "Michael said, ‘He’s (Tohme) mean, he’s trying to keep me and separate me from everybody and everything that I love." Jackson severed ties with Tohme in May (09) after learning his manager had threatened the boss of a California auction house over memorabilia items that were set to go under the hammer.
After rehiring svengali Frank DiLeo to look after his affairs, Jackson sent a letter to all business associates, in which he insisted, "Dr. Tohme Tohme is no longer authorized to represent me." But, Tohme spoke on behalf of Jackson hours after he died and conducted an interview with NBC two weeks after the tragedy in June (09), when he stated, "I’m still in charge of Michael Jackson’s business until otherwise I am informed not to do so (sic)."
