LABEOUF ROMANCING CO-STAR MULLIGAN?

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

SHIA LABEOUF has given up hope of romancing his TRANSFORMERS co-star MEGAN FOX - the actor is dating his latest on screen love interest CAREY MULLIGAN, according to U.S. reports.
LaBeouf admitted in June (09) that he has always been attracted to Fox, whose on/off relationship with actor Brian Austin Green reportedly cooled over the summer (09).
He told reporters, "I’m a 23-year-old red-blooded male, so sure there’s a lot of real (chemistry) there. She’s a beautiful woman." However, the action star appears to have moved from Fox and taken interest in British actress Mulligan, his co-star in upcoming Wall Street sequel Money Never Sleeps.
The pair was spotted kissing and cuddling over drinks at West Village restaurant Extra Virgin on Sunday afternoon (23Aug09), reports the New York Daily News.
Spokespersons for LaBeouf and Mulligan had not returned requests for comment as WENN went to press.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

THE WRESTLER star MICKEY ROURKE was reportedly grilled by security officials at a New York airport last week (17Aug09), after trying to board a flight with thousands of dollars in cash.
Rourke was stopped by airport officials at JFK International Airport before jetting out to attend the Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia.
According to the New York Daily News, the actor was stopped with two bodyguards at a security checkpoint and questioned for approximately 10 minutes about the amount of money he was carrying while officials carried out a search of his luggage.

The actor was allowed to board after officials deemed he was not a security threat.
A spokesperson for the star had not returned requests for comment as WENN went to press.

LONDON TRIBUTE CONCERT TO HONOUR JACKSON IN 2010

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:42 pm

A London concert honouring MICHAEL JACKSON is set to go ahead in 2010 - on what would have been the star’s 52nd birthday.
Two planned tribute shows in the U.K. capital to mark the singer’s 51st birthday on 29th August (09) were cancelled earlier this month (Aug09) after organisers failed to secure enough star names to complete the lineup.
Bosses at AEG Live, the promotion firm behind the King Of Pop’s ill-fated comeback concerts at London’s O2 Arena, had planned to stage the gigs in memory of Jackson, who was due to perform his 50-date This Is It residency at the venue this summer (09).
The company is now working on a star-studded extravaganza to take place on what would have been the singer’s 52nd birthday next year (10), according to The London Paper.
AEG chief executive Randy Phillips says, "It could still happen. It will probably be next year, on his birthday. Michael was a genius and his vision would have made This Is It the greatest arena show." An official tribute concert honouring the star will be held in Vienna, Austria next month (Sep09).

JA RULE CLEARED TO PLAY AUSTRALIA GIG

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:36 pm

JA RULE has been cleared to take the stage in Australia this weekend (29Aug09) after previously failing to secure a work visa to enter the country.
Promoters were forced to postpone the concert earlier this summer (09) after the rapper’s permit application was delayed "due to visa processing".
Now immigration officials Down Under have ruled the New York-based star is not a threat to national security, paving the way for him to play at Luna Park in Sydney on Saturday (29Aug09).
The country’s border authorities are notoriously strict when it comes to allowing entertainers with criminal records to perform in Australia.
Ja Rule - real name Jeffrey Atkins - was arrested and charged with weapons violations in 2007, when police discovered a loaded semi-automatic weapon in his car. In 2005, he pleaded guilty to punching a fan in Toronto, Canada.

OASIS DENY SPLIT RUMOURS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:36 pm

British rockers OASIS have denied they are on the verge of splitting up - insisting they plan to carry on recording and touring.
The future of the Wonderwall hitmakers has been the subject of growing speculation in recent months after a series of rows between frontman Liam Gallagher and his guitarist brother Noel.
They axed a headline set at the U.K.’s V Festival on Sunday (23Aug09) after Liam was diagnosed with a throat virus - but the cancellation sparked rumours the rockers were preparing to announce their break-up.
Now they have hit back, insisting they will take a vacation when their current series of live shows ends before planning a new album and tour.
In a statement on the band’s official website, a spokesman writes: "V Festival was always scheduled as the last U.K. gig for this Dig Out Your Soul World Tour. Oasis will complete the rest of the world tour in Europe and then take some well-earned time off before they begin to think about the next album and tour."

However, Hamilton insists his ethics should not be questioned - because doctors merely plump his face with his own fat cells.
He tells the New York Daily News, "You don’t have to get it from embryos. You can get it from your own fat."

STEWART THRILLED WITH EARLY FAME

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

KRISTEN STEWART is delighted she got her big break in movies at the age of nine - because she is convinced first-time fame in her teen years would have left her troubled.
The actress’ debut film role came in 1999 Disney movie The Thirteenth Year and she’s since gone on to make more than 20 movies, including 2008’s Twilight, which shot her to worldwide stardom.
But Stewart is glad she started her career early - because she’s sure she couldn’t have coped with the pressures during her adolescence.
She says, "I think that if I had started now or just a couple of years ago, after the age of 14, if I had waited two more years, I would be wrought. I couldn’t deal with the scrutiny.
"I feel like starting out as a teenager may not have been as good. I conquered fears at a young age because I wasn’t considering them, I just took them for whatever."

PATRICK’S TAX FIASCO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY star ROBERT PATRICK has fired his business manager after discovering he owes thousands in unpaid taxes.
The actor was fuming last month (Jul09) after learning he has racked up debts of more than $176,000 (£118,000) with both the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and tax officials in California.
Patrick maintains he is a "proud American" and had every intention of paying his taxes, insisting the blame lies with his business manager of 17 years, who he dismissed promptly after finding out about his arrears.
He says, "My reaction is frustration and I’m very angry. I’ve had an impeccable relationship with taxes. I’ve never had a problem. I’m a very proud American. I fly to Iraq and Afghanistan to see the troops. I’m very pro-military. I am in shock and angry about it." IRS bosses filed a tax lien for $116,807 (£78,000) against the 50 year old and his wife Barbara on 7 August (09) in Ohio, demanding income taxes from 2007.
California taxmen also filed a $5,040 (£3,300) demand against Patrick in 2007, and another claim for $55,000 (£37,000) against the couple in May (09).

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:48 pm

BOB DYLAN is set to become the new voice of a satellite navigation system.
The 68-year-old folk singer, known for his distinctly raspy voice, could soon be helping lost fans find their way home after bosses at two car firms approached him to record audio directions for their Global Positioning System (GPS) maps.
He explains, "I am talking to a couple of car companies about being the voice of their GPS system. I think it would be good if you are looking for directions and hear my voice saying something like, ‘Left at the next street, no a right - you know what? Just go straight.’ "I probably shouldn’t do it because whichever way I go I always end up at one place - Lonely Avenue." If The Blowin’ In The Wind hitmaker agrees to the deal, he’ll join celebrities including Monty Python actor John Cleese and Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall who have both provided GPS commentaries.

STONE BLASTS CRITICS OF TOPLESS PICTURES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:48 pm

SHARON STONE has defended her right to pose topless in a racy spread at the age of 51, insisting it’s not just youthful actresses who should be allowed to strip off.
The Basic Instinct star has bared all for the cover of French fashion bible Paris Match, sporting nothing but bondage heels and underwear for the provocative shoot.
And the actress remains adamant she has every right to show off her body without facing harsh criticism about her age.
She tells the magazine, "Is there an age when you’re supposed to refrain from doing some things like showing your body? If someone is shocked by these photos that’s a reflection on his own views on age.
"What these photos represent is nothing surprising to me, my life didn’t change at 50, I didn’t change. I don’t see where the provocation is. If I asked myself I probably wouldn’t have done these photos as I don’t consider myself provocative."
