EDDIE CIBRIAN is determined his divorce from estranged wife BRANDI GLANVILLE will be amicable - insisting the pair will "work together" for the sake of their two sons.
The hunky actor filed for divorce from his wife on Monday (24Aug09) after the pair separated following rumours he started an affair with his Northern Lights co-star LeAnn Rimes during filming in March (09).
Despite refuting the claims, Rimes subsequently split from her husband Dean Sheremet and has been spotted on numerous dates with Cibrian in recent weeks.
But despite the media furore surrounding the relationship, Cibrian insists he will never discuss his private life with the press, and wants to concentrate on being a "devoted dad".
In a statement, he says, "From the outset I have made a conscious decision to try and keep this matter private and not discuss it in the press.
"While my wife and I are dissolving our marriage, we will work together to parent our two children. I love my boys very much. I want only the best for them and am committed to being a devoted father.
"I will continue to be respectful and sensitive to this issue by not doing interviews about this ongoing private matter. I wish everyone would do the same." Cibrian and Glanville have two boys - Mason, six, and two-year-old Jake.

The mystery behind MICHAEL JACKSON’s death is set to be revealed on Friday (28Aug09), according to new reports.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office plans to announce the cause and manner of Jackson’s death on 25 June (09) tomorrow morning.
The death details come just days after a search warrant affidavit, featuring an account of the King of Pop’s last hours by physician Dr. Conrad Murray, was unsealed in Texas and obtained by the Los Angeles Times newspaper.
The warrant included a list of the drugs Dr. Murray reportedly administered to Jackson in a bid to get the singer to sleep on the last night of his life.
Meanwhile, details of what investigators found and bagged up at Jackson’s rented home in the hours after his death have been leaked to the press.
The items include rotting marijuana, 14 pill bottles containing sleep and anti-anxiety medications, a tube of Benoquin skin bleaching cream and three vials of a liquid used for glaucoma patients.

A top Beverly Hills jeweller is threatening LINDSAY LOHAN with legal action if she doesn’t return $2 million (£1.3 million) worth of gems he loaned her for an event.
The actress, whose Hollywood Hills home was burgled at the weekend (22-23Aug09), has been targeted by the bosses of XIV Karats, who want their jewels back.
Lohan has reportedly told the jewellers the gems were stolen from her safe.
A source tells CocoPerez.com, "The jewels were in Lindsay’s care… If something is not resolved soon there will be legal action taken." It’s the second missing jewellery scandal Lohan has been caught up in this summer (09) - in June (09) she was linked to gems stolen from a photo shoot for Elle magazine in Britain.
But magazine bosses and London police were quick to dismiss reports the actress was responsible for the theft, insisting the Mean Girls star was merely helping the authorities with their enquiries.

Passengers onboard Virgin America flights can now check out rocker CHRIS CORNELL’s hits as they board planes and watch his videos while they’re in the air.
The former Audioslave and Soundgarden frontman has struck a deal with airlines bosses, giving fans who fly with the company exclusive access to his back catalogue.
Passengers will be able to listen to his songs onboard the plane, watch Cornell videos in-flight, and even hear some of his tunes while boarding the aircraft.

Hindus and Jews have come out in support of MADONNA after she was booed and jeered by thousands of fans at a show in Romania on Wednesday night (26Aug09) when she protested the treatment of Roma gypsies in the country onstage.
The pop superstar was playing to a sell-out crowd of 60,000 in Bucharest as part of her ongoing Sticky & Sweet world tour when she paused to address issues of discrimination in eastern Europe, urging fans to fight prejudice against the travellers.
Madonna told the audience, "I’ve never been to Romania before and I am happy to be here. But I found out that there is a lot of discrimination against gypsies in eastern Europe and that makes me very sad, especially because we believe in acceptance, gypsies, homosexuals, people that are different. It makes me very sad. Everyone must be treated the same, don’t forget that." But her attempt at unity was met with boos from the hostile crowd.
However, Hindu and Jewish leaders in her native America have applauded Madonna’s efforts.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed and Rabbi Jonathan B. Freirich have joined forces to commend Madonna for at least trying to get a message across.
A joint statement from the two religious leaders reads, "Romania and Europe should apologise for the blatant show of prejudice shown towards Roma brothers and sisters when Madonna spoke against Roma discrimination during her concert in Bucharest.
"The alarming condition of Roma people is a social blight for Europe and the rest of the world as these people face social exclusion, racism, substandard education, hostility, joblessness, rampant illness, inadequate housing, lower life expectancy, unrest, living on desperate margins, language barriers, stereotypes, mistrust, rights violations, discrimination, marginalisation, appalling living conditions, prejudice, human rights abuse and racist slogans.
"It’s like an undeclared apartheid… The Roma issue should be one of the highest priorities of the human rights agenda of Europe and (the) world." Zed and Rabbi Freirich are now urging other celebrities to take Madonna’s example and use their status to highlight "the apartheid conditions faced by about 15 million Roma people in Europe".
The Roma people migrated to mainland Europe from India in the 11th century; they are believed to have their roots in the Indian subcontinent.

A third of the 90 tracks recorded during the group’s Felt Forum shows in January, 1970 have never been heard before.
Drummer John Densmore admits he has special memories of the four shows - because the venue was such a great place to play.

A DEF LEPPARD fan has been arrested in Utah after deliberately starting a fire outside a show he was kicked out of.
The drunk Salt Lake City 28 year old was ejected from the band’s Tuesday night (25Aug09) show for tipping beer on concertgoers and being unruly.
Upon leaving the USANA Amphitheater in West Valley City, the disgruntled fan waited for fans to start leaving the venue and started a fire in a nearby field.
Firefighters could not get to the flames quickly because people were filing out of the venue.
The blaze was finally extinguished after it has burned through a huge area of the field and threatened to become a much bigger problem.

AMERICAN PIE star JASON BIGGS is laughing off reports he was beaten up by a monkey.
An Internet story suggested the actor’s recent holiday in Gibraltar turned sour when he was attacked by a wild ape which tried to steal his lunch.
A source told RadarOnline.com that Biggs and pal Eddie Kaye were "hiking in the woods when this monkey suddenly leapt on Jason from a tree and tried to bite his face off." But the actor’s spokesman insists the story is false, stating, "Not everything on the Internet is true."

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT producers are considering giving a savvy fan a part in the show - after she used detective skills she picked up on TV to help police track down and arrest a burglary subject.
Justine Faeth stayed calm as a thief walked into her Manhattan office and stole a colleague’s purse, an iPod and a wallet.
Using tips she had picked up from her favourite show, she collected everything the robber had touched - including a cup he had sipped water from and a tissue he used to blow his nose - and handed them over to police.
The real detectives were able to track down the thief by the DNA samples he had left behind.
Faeth told her story on America’s Today show on Thursday (27Aug09) and was thrilled when Law & Order star Mariska Hargitay called in to chat with her.
Producers now want to reward the fan even further by giving her a walk-on part in the hit drama.

An arbitrator has ruled that ENTOURAGE star JEREMY PIVEN did not breach contractual obligations when illness forced him to quit a Broadway show last year (08).
Producers of the Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow filed charges against Piven, claiming his decision to leave the show after falling ill with a severe bout of mercury poisoning cost them undue stress and cash.
But the actor was given the all clear in arbitration on Thursday (27Aug09), as officials declared he acted reasonably when he put his health before the play.
The arbitrator also stated the evidence against Piven, which suggested he wasn’t as ill as he claimed, was "insufficient".
Piven, who was advised by his doctor at the time to stop working because of his illness, says, "I’m pleased with the outcome of the arbitration and to be completely vindicated in this matter based on the facts and the medical evidence." He was replaced by William H. Macy in the play.

Guitarist JOHN MAYER will have to hand over $25,000 (£16,700) to charity, after losing a bet over his criminal record.
Mayer bet editors at TMZ.com they couldn’t track down a mug shot taken of him, following his arrest in 2001 for driving with a suspended license.
He offered to donate the sum to a charity of site editor Harvey Levin’s choice - and will have to dig deep after resourceful journalists tracked down the incriminating snap.
Mayer’s money will go to an animal charity.

MISCHA BARTON has spoken out for the first time about her recent hospitalisation, blaming her meltdown on a "perfect storm" of emotional traumas.
Barton was placed on involuntary psychiatric hold last month (Jul09) after calling cops to her Hollywood home.
The actress claims she hit rock bottom after undergoing "terrible" surgery on her wisdom teeth that went wrong, just weeks before she was due to begin shooting new TV show The Beautiful Life.
Because she was forbidden to take painkillers while she worked, the actress was forced to cope with the after-effects of the operation without proper medication.
Barton tells Time Out New York magazine, "I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once." She claims the stress led to depression and brought about her meltdown on 16 July (09). She denies she suffered a mental breakdown, but admits her ordeal was "pretty bad".
The 24 year old explains, "I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have to get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed out and couldn’t handle everything." Barton goes onto insist much of her ordeal was blown out of proportion by the press, and intensified by the scrutiny stars are placed under in Hollywood: "The funny thing is, if all this happened in New York, no one would care."

MICHAEL JACKSON’s skin doctor is refusing to take a DNA test to establish if he fathered the star’s two oldest kids, admitting he’s "well aware" he could be the dad.
Dr. Arnold Klein fuelled rumours he’s the biological father of Prince,12, and Paris, 11, when he appeared on TV in the aftermath of Jackson’s 25 June (09) death, and claimed he wasn’t their dad "to the best of my knowledge".
Klein further muddied the parenting puzzle when he turned up unannounced at a guardianship hearing, where Jacko’s mother Katherine was awarded custody of the kids.
Now, after weeks of avoiding the issue, the dermatologist has admitted he could well be the father, but has no interest in finding out for sure.
Klein’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan tells UsMagazine.com, "There was a possibility that the two older kids could be biologically linked to Dr. Klein." Explaining his appearance at the custody hearing, the attorney reveals, "Dr. Klein wanted to assert a request that he had concerns. He had an agreement with Michael Jackson that if anything happened to Michael Jackson… Dr. Klein would do what he could to see that they were protected." The lawyer reveals his client is refusing to undergo a DNA test, insisting Jackson was their true father, and he has no interest in challenging the court’s decision to grant Katherine Jackson custody.
Kaplan adds, "It would serve no helpful purpose for the children to be distracted from believing Michael Jackson is not the father in every possibility… It is not something Dr. Klein feels he is interested to establish.
"It would serve no purpose other than creating distraction or noise. It is not going to help the children, other than to solve the answered question, which is a selfish motive to see who the ultimate provider of the 13 chromosomes (is)." Prince and Paris’ mother is Klein’s former assistant, Debbie Rowe. Jackson’s youngest child, Prince Michael II, was born to an unknown surrogate.
Klein isn’t the only person to come forward with suggestions he may be the biological father of Jackson’s daughter Paris - the singer’s actor pal Mark Lester has also revealed he donated sperm to the King of Pop before Rowe fell pregnant with the girl. Lester maintains his own 15-year-old daughter bears a striking resemblance to Paris.
