BARTON BRUSHES OFF TV PROMO SNUB
Troubled TV star MISCHA BARTON is fending off more rumours producers of THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE were set to replace her character - after the actress was cut from the first promotional photos for the new series.
Barton was allegedly placed under involuntary psychiatric hold at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last month (Jul09) after reportedly suffering a meltdown and calling cops to her Hollywood home.
The incident sparked rumours Barton had been fired from the cast of creator Ashton Kutcher’s show.
However, the 23 year old has brushed off her noticeable absence from the advertising campaign.
Her spokesperson says, "She didn’t participate in that shoot. It didn’t work out timing-wise for her. (The photo shoot took place) a while ago when she was in London." A spokesperson for the CW network also backs the star: "This is just one element of the network’s marketing campaign, and not every cast member is in each piece of creative."
