MERRIWEATHER’S CONVICT COLLABORATION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:33 pm

Pop star DANIEL MERRIWEATHER’s early career was given an unlikely boost when he was paired up to work with an ex-convict.
The singer was attempting to launch a music career in his native Australia when he was invited into the studio with convicted kidnapper Chopper Read, whose life of crime was the subject of the 2000 film Chopper.
He recalls, "Chopper is one crazy guy. He went round killing drug dealers and rapists. When he was finally caught he got someone to cut his ears off. They made a film about him.
"When he got out of prison, this guy I know from Melbourne had the idea to turn him into a rap star. So we worked on hip-hop tracks for him. He was scary… you don’t want to mess with him."
