NE-YO WANTS ROLE IN JACKSON TRIBUTE
NE-YO is desperate for a place on the star-studded bill at the MICHAEL JACKSON tribute concert in Austria next month (Sep09) and has already picked the track he wants to perform.
The R&B star paid his own tribute to the King of Pop by singing his 1982 track The Lady in My Life at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on 29 June (09) - just days after the superstar’s death. And he wants to repeat the performance at the concert the Jackson family is planning for Vienna.
Jermaine Jackson recently confirmed the tribute will take place in the grounds of the city’s former imperial Schoenbrunn Palace.
Organisers claim to have secured a "high-profile lineup of international stars". Ne-Yo tells WENN he "hasn’t got a phone call yet" but adds, "I’d love to take part in it. My favourite Jackson song is Lady in My Life."
